Reviewed Sep 4, 2026The location was perfect - probably less than 10 minutes from the port but convenient and very quiet. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was freshly made with watermelon, melon, orange juice, coffee, bread, tomatoes, olives, spinach pie, boiled egg and more and it was served in the stunning garden. It is an extremely friendly hotel with lovely welcoming hosts and a cute little dog called Noah.
Nothing at all to criticise! It was perfect and we hope to return and spend longer there.

Les murs sont fins même si la rue est calme on entendait nos voisins de chambre Nous avons beaucoup aimé les petit déjeuner faits maison chaque matin cependant cela serait bien de pouvoir choisir en amont ce que l’on souhaite manger ou non car cela implique du gâchis

Tornerò ad Hydra e tornerò al Mistral!

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Personalet på hotellet var virkelig gæstfri og venlige, og det føles som om man var en del af familien. Morgenmaden var rigtig god, og vores værelse blev gjort rent hver morgen mens vi spiste morgenmad. Der var styr på alting, og intet er overladt til tilfældighederne.
Det er svært at finde på noget dårligt at skrive.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026The owners and the team behind the scenes went above and beyond to make us feel at home and our stay enjoyable! The breakfast was an unexpected daily delight! Each day was different and equally delicious with freshly baked goods, fruits and treats! Location was very convinient, only a few minutes from some of our favorite restaurants but far enough from the busier side streets. Room was impeccably clean, most comfortable mattress we ever slept on a holiday and with fresh sheets and towels every other day. Thank you Mistral!

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026Albergo elegante a circa 400 metri dal porto, raggiungibile attraverso le strette vie del centro, seguendo i castelli con l'indicazione dell'hotel. Lo staff è molto cortese e disponibile. Dopo le 21 alla reception non c'è nessuno e bisogna usare la seconda chiave. La nostra camera era confortevole e con aria condizionata, anche se un po piccola. La colazione (che cambia ogni giorno) è stata veramente sfiziosa, con alimenti particolari.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026La posizione buona perchè centrale senza essere rumorosa, la colazione meravigliosa e abbondante con piatti cucinati ogni mattina dal proprietario dell'albergo certamente con ottimi prodotti e molta varietà. Niko è stato gentilissimo e ci ha aiutato a risolvere piccoli problemi sempre col sorriso. la camera era piccola ma luminosa e ben attrezzata.
la nostra esperienza è stata condizionata soprattutto dall'accoglienza e dal rapporto con la proprietaria. Fin dal nostro arrivo abbiamo percepito una certa distanza e una mancanza di disponibilità che ci hanno fatto sentire poco accolte. La proprietaria si è mostrata infastidita da piccole richieste ( possiamo avere altra acqua, possiamo conservare questo buonissimo cibo della nostra colazione per mangiarlo più tardi perchè appena sveglie non abbiamo tanta fame..), anche quando si trattava semplicemente di chiedere informazioni o piccoli suggerimenti. Questo atteggiamento ci ha portato nel corso del soggiorno a evitare di rivolgerci a lei per le necessità che avevamo. L'ultimo giorno invece di venirci a chiamare in camera perchè era arrivata la persona che avrebbe portato i nostri bagagli al porto ( abbiamo scoperto dopo che il servizio non era incluso ) ha fatto salire direttamente questo signore a bussare alla porta della camera. Non ci ha mai comunicato che il caffè espresso della colazione fosse a pagamento, caffè oltretutto cattivo che abbiamo deciso di non chiedere più anche senza sapere che aveva un costo a parte. La struttura è bella e curata nei dettagli, (anche se la nostra camera aveva il rumore del motore del frigorifero così forte da svegliarci nella notte, e lo scaldabagno da accendere se avevamo bisogno di fare una doccia calda), ma l'ospitalità non riguarda solo gli ambienti: il modo in cui un ospite viene accolto e seguito fa una grande differenza.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026Πολύ ευχάριστη διαμονή! Το δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ καθαρό και προσεγμένο, ενώ η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου είναι εξαιρετική, ακριβώς στο κέντρο της Ύδρας, με εύκολη πρόσβαση παντού με τα πόδια. Το πρωινό ήταν πολύ καλό, με μεγάλη ποικιλία επιλογών και ποιοτικά προϊόντα.
Το μόνο μικρό θέμα ήταν ότι το δωμάτιο είχε δύο μονά κρεβάτια αντί για ένα διπλό, όπως θα προτιμούσαμε. Παρ' όλα αυτά, δεν επηρέασε καθόλου τη διαμονή μας και συνολικά η εμπειρία ήταν άριστη.

This hotel provides a traditional Greek feel on an island that knows it has an exclusive reputation. Location away but close enough from the port area made for a peaceful stay.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like the only thing we missed was more relaxed outdoor seating outside of breakfast time as no balconies or terraces.

This family‑run hotel is a real gem. Nicolas is always available, attentive, and aware of every guest’s needs, while his mother is present during breakfast, ensuring that the experience is unforgettable and varied, offering a different, traditional, and local selection each day. The décor of the property, a typical stone mansion in the classic style of the island, is impeccable—every corner has been thoughtfully designed. The entrance patio, where breakfast is served, is a fresh and peaceful oasis with charming landscaping. The rooms are spotless, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom equipped with everything you might need. The location is easily accessible from one of the main streets of town and very well connected to all the places worth visiting in Hydra. We recommend this hotel 100%, and if we return to Hydra, we would gladly stay here again.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026The Mistral Hotel was an unexpected delight and one of the highlights of our stay in Hydra. Its location is perfect—just an easy walk from the main port area, yet far enough away to escape the crowds and enjoy the peace and quiet. The hotel's courtyard is absolutely beautiful, filled with lovely flowers and lush plants that create a relaxing oasis after a day of exploring the island. It was the perfect spot to unwind and have a glass of wine. The breakfasts were outstanding, with a different selection each morning that was fresh, delicious and thoughtfully prepared. While our room wasn't particularly large, it was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Mistral Hotel to anyone visiting Hydra.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026Luftigt stort rum med sköna sängar. Använde bara AC sista natten men den fungerade bra. Väldigt rent överallt. Bilder stämmer bra på nät med verkligheten. Perfekt läge och lugnt tillbakatrukket. Superfin trädgård där det serveras frukost. Kul att de varierar rätterna och att man får prova många olika grekiska råvaror. Kunde gärna varit färre sötsaker eller möjlighet byta dessa mot sundare alternativ. Rekommenderas varmt ❤️
Kunde kanske gjort lite mer utav takterrassen? Några mindre sittegrupper/ parasoll?

The room was a bit small and the curtains let in the light (I had eye blinds so that was fine but I needed them!) but neither was a big problem

Initial signage off the boat. I got lost a few times before finding the correct path. The signs, once I found the path, were great!

Reviewed May 26, 2026The hotel is quietly located, a typical Greek Villa with a nice garden, the guy at the reception who welcomed me and said goodbye at my departure was very kind and friendly, also the lady who cleaned my room was very kind even if she didn’t speak English.
There was a quiet strange procedure to get hot water which I didn’t use, I washed myself with the cold water as it was ok. I suggest for breakfast to offer different fruit as on 5 breakfasts there were apricots in syrup 4 days, only on the last days strawberries and they have plenty of oranges on the table inside, except of this breakfast was good, especially on Sunday.
