Friendly staff
1) Fantastic view of Nile river and Luxor temple from roof top restaurant. 2) Mahmoud responds very fast to our queries. 3) Low Price 4) Location
1) Limited options on morning breakfast. 2) Rooms looks really old. We had to turn off the fan as we were afraid as it may fall down due to its very old age. 3) Bathroom is a let down. Many issues are there. 4) Entire premise look dusty.
The location and building itself were wonderful, as were the staff. The hospitality was really welcoming and helpful, the view from the rooftop was incredible, it truly gives you the best introduction to the West bank. I would definitely recommend it to those looking to stay on this side of the Nile.
The neighbours selection of poultry keeping you awake throughout the night from cockerels, geese and a token turkey.
Clean and tidy rooms, staff so friendly and helpful. Big thank you to Jasser who went above and beyond to ensure I had the most incredible experience in Luxor. Breakfast was great and the view across the Nile every day made my morning. Hotel was nice and quiet, in prime location for visits to The Valley of the Kings and Queens. The Balloon ride organised by Sayed was fantastic and a good price. The hotel staff really do look after you and ensure your safety is their number one priority. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel for another trip to Luxor.
The pool wasn't heated unfortunately so it was a little cold.
We felt welcomed and taken care of from the moment we got there. The owner and staff were very pleasant, helpful and talkative. They helped us find transfers, suggested where to eat, organized earlier breakfasts for us, etc. It was a great experience and we would recommend the accomodation.
The owner is very kind and helpful and the staff too. We'll be back, I can only recommend it to everyone. We arrived as guests and left as friends. :-)
The hotel is located next to the river and has great views from the top floor balcony where the breakfast is. The staff is excellent Sayed the owner organised the trips for us and he is a great host. Jaser prepares great local breakfast and has a smile for everyone which is a good way to start the day. The weather in the end of March was hot (33-34 Celsius) and had send storms overnight but the room was nice and cool and was great to come back to after a day of site seeing in the heat. By the way there are millions of mosquitoes in Luxor at the moment so you will need mosquito spray because they are everywhere and my son had 100 bites in 3 days on his legs.
For me everything was great, for my teenage son the WIFI was an issue.
Wonderful stay and made to feel very welcome. Organized a car and visited the incredible sights of Luxor with an itinerary that suited us perfectly. Be sure to get up early to watch the hot air balloons from the balcony and the amazing sunrise over the Luxor Temple and River Nile. Thank you so much for the opportunity.
Everything was perfect The owner and his staff were so nice and friendly and helpful. The owner booked for me a tour to all the temples and tombs in The Valley of the Kings. It was wonderful. And then he organised for me the Hot Air Balloon in sunrise for the best price and it was amazing. I advice everyone to came here and enjoy the view from the Rooftop Terrace and the new swimming pool and the beautiful garden. For sure I had the best holiday. And for the women‘s travelling alone it is the safest place to stay.
Nothing Everything was perfect
This hotel is one above the rest. My mother and I only spent a day in Luxor, and expected to simply sleep, wake up and leave for the day, but never did I expect that the accommodation would somehow be the highlight of our time in Luxor. The host is one of the kindest people I've ever met. Upon arrival, he personally showed us around the whole property, enjoyed a wine on the rooftop at night with a gorgeous view of the Nile, and spoke about his life and what to expect in Luxor. The host is an archaeologist and Egyptologist so he is the one to talk to. He recommended some fantastic sights in the area and his input was invaluable. The rooms were just what we were after and were great for the price, especially just for a night. I would have no issue coming back again.
There is very little to complain about with the property. In the morning there was a nearby loud speaker which was quite loud, but wasnt too big of an issue as we are early risers. We could also only pay in cash, which isnt the end of the world but something to be aware of.
It was a fantastic 3 days, the best place in the west bank. Friendly welcome, the owner is the best people in the world. Traditional breakfast is the best in the city. The view from the rooftop is excellent, nile panorama. Good energie in his place. He does his best for the guests. Thank you very much, your friend
We enjoyed our stay at senmut. The owner and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was nice with a big balcony. It was very nice to chill out at the rooftop with an amazing view of the nile and Luxor east bank. Good breakfast.
The hotel is nice, good location except the moschee right next to it (very loud prayers). The pool and the rooms and also the roof terrace is very beautiful and it was nice. Rooms could be cleaner, but it was average egypt hygiene...
Allright, I'll try to reword this to make this text safe to read for snowflakes :-) Our problem with the hotel was the owner and their offspring. From the beginning we got very creepy vibes from them. Off course its all about the money. They have the "best deal" for every activity and they want you to book with them to get their share. But the way how they try to convince you is not cool at all. For example: they ask you where you are going ALL THE TIME. You can't leave the hotel without one of them asking you where you are going and what you are doing. Also they try to scare you with invented stories like there are just bad people on the street and its dangerous to go out. Do not fall for their lies! The streets are very safe and there are better and cheaper places to eat and do activities than them. So all in all, nice rooms but the manager really killed the vibe and i would never come again to this hotel...
Jassar good people, very very servicial
The boss
The terrace has a nice view Jazzer is a good guy! Good location if you want to visit the valley of the kings .
Can’t sleep good at night a lot of noise from very early morning from outside .
The hospitality is beyond words. Sayed and Jasser and great hosts. They help with all you need. I was stomach sick and Jasser took care of me like family. The rooms might not be modern, but you have all you need and the location we found super nice. Out of the hassle from Luxor but it is also easy to get to the city. Sayed helps you to customize your stay and has great tips what to visit. Rooms are clean, breakfast is definitely with a view and you can order from the Menu truly home made meals.
Nothing.
we loved the stay and the breakfast and the views. the owner was very nice and he welcomed us in a very friendly way
nothing
Nice family business Nice Pool & Breakfast
Unable to shower due to loss of water at the property twice Wifi was almost unusable for me Tours seemed a little expensive
We spent 3 days in May at Senmut. Three minutes walk from the Nile where you can catch a water taxi to the East Bank. Thebes restaurant is close by and serves good food and cold Stellas. The room was immaculate and super clean. Breakfast was realy good. Yasser, a family member of Sayed made sure we had coffee very early on the terrace. Try Yasser's dinner menu! The terrace at Senmut overlooks the Nile and is the perfect place to watch the sunrise and sunset. Sayed, the owner was a magnificant host and takes pride in his hotel. He is currently building a swimmingpool and by looking at the work already done and the landscaping in progress, it should be completed very soon. We had an unfortunate experience in loosing a purse in a taxi on our way back to the airport. We contacted Sayed and he managed to trace the taxi driver and retrieve the purse. We met up with him a couple of days later in Cairo where he gave us the purse. Thanks again Sayed for walking the extra mile!. The family will back with more family members as Senmut exceeded our expectations. This is a place to use as a base to explore Luxor. Sayed can arrange all your tours and activities! Thanks again Sayed and staff! Adri, Linda and Louise
Jazzer was very kind guy and helpful during my stay.
Nicely located, quiet, very nice balcony / bathroom, helpful staff, wonderful breakfast with very nice view, the ceiling fan was very pleasant
The neighbours have a rooster which likes crowing
the welcome, the respect, the courtesy of our host.. We feel at home, like at home.. and thanks to the protective angel of this house, I named Jasser...
Nothing
Nice view, helpful and very friendly owner, top sfaff - can recommend!
welcoming friendly and very helpful, booked air balloon ride with staff very good price breakfast was great and very flexible with the time you want I would recommend this hotel
all good
Attentive staff, breakfast is good enough.
Location is not ideal, you have to cross every time by ferry from Luxor center. In addition, it is very poorly isolated, there are all kinds of noises coming from outside. I slept very badly, heard noises from the animals and cars.
The bedroom was clean and the location of the hotel is really good.
The shower was broken Overall our stay there was good but it lacked some professionalism at the end. Indeed, we wanted to enjoy a family Christmas party and the owner of the hotel came with us and sat at our table all the night while drinking beers and smocking (without asking if it was ok for us). We also agreed for an early coffee to be prepared before we leave the hotel, and no one prepared it for us.
Owner (Said) and staff were helpful and kind, very good location, would definitely recommend it. Fantastic experience.
It is located on the quieter side of the Nile, less touts and mindless bothering of tourists which is common on the other side.
The shower facilities are basic.
Great value apartments with brilliant terrace and outstanding Nile view. Sayed is a brilliant and welcoming host, and on the the terrace Jasser will look after you like family. If you have some questions or need a fixer Sayed will help you!
The owner was very friendly and helpful.
385 egp for 3 coffee 4 bottle of water and 2 coke.
Very good location close to several restaurants. At the hotel Jazzer will help you with every question you may have. Safe area!
Everything was very very excellent! Very nice hosts and beautiful accomodation.
i liked the friendly staff! Sayed and Yasser were suoer helpful and kind, the breakfast was delicious and they genuinely care for all of us. Also location is great, quiet at night and there are a lot of cafes, mini markets around. they have beer for a cheap price and whatever you need they can get it for you. And the amazing view on the rooftop, directly to the Nile!
Nothing
Very friendly owner and family. Amazingly beautiful location, spoked very well English. Nice and quiet area but with nice restaurants and options close by and right on the water
