The room was lovely, the bed comfortable, and nice amenities in the kitchen one level down. The directions on how to get in were very thorough, with photos attached and arrows so that I could see exactly how everything would work.

Although the location was beautiful and high over the city, it would have been great if the listing had mentioned that there were 185 steps to climb on a pedestrian street above the main street in order to reach the rooms. I have only one leg (with a prosthetic leg on the other side), and I made it ok while carrying my roller suitcase, however I think that any older person or person with mobility issues would have a hard time reaching the space. I came from the airport by Uber, and the driver was not able to find the address at all(since it was on a pedestrian street nearby), so explaining that information in the listing would also have been useful.

Kleines Zimmer aber sehr sauber und gut gelegen. Wer nicht gut zu Fuß ist sollte sich etwas anderes suchen (Zugang nur über Treppen möglich)

Es war alles da, was ich brauchte und ich habe mich wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern lief nur über Handy, war aber sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Lage ist Mega und das kleine Kaffee nebenan hat ganz viel Charme.

Es ist sehr hellhörig! Ohropax sind von Vorteil!!!

Está super bien ubicado, tenía más espacio del esperado (cuenta un saloncito con sofá) yen la cocina compartida había bastante menaje y para tomar un café y desayunar.

No hay para aparcar cerca, pero al menos hay un parking privado no muy lejos.

La difficoltà per raggiungere la struttura e la nostra camera in quanto solo per arrivare all’entrata dell’edificio é stato necessario salire una scala ripida con circa 140 gradini con i bagagli al seguito e, come se non bastasse, per arrivare alla nostra stanza, altre 3 rampe di scale, di cui una ripidissima. Nel reparto surgelatore del frigorifero si trovava una bottiglia di vetro evidentemente scoppiata ma mai pulita nell’arco dei tre giorni della nostra permanenza. Inoltre camera piccola e bagno piccolissimo. Da notare il passaggio frequente della metro sopra il tetto.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis, le personnel était disponible pour nos questions. Possibilité de laisser les bagages avant le check-in, ce qui est très pratique lors d’un vol tôt le matin. Emplacement idéal pour être au cœur de la ville et se déplacer à pied ou en transport en commun.

Les escaliers pour se rendre peuvent rendre l’accès difficile avec des bagages ou pour des gens avec des difficultés de mobilité.

L'accoglienza è stata davvero molto curata! ❤️ Piccolo assaggio di Porto offerto all'arrivo in camera. Tutte le info necessarie per arrivare all'appartamento sono state inviate con un buon anticipo. Il check in on-line è stato molto positivo. La casa è caratteristica, nel quartiere più divertente della città, forse come avamposto per i giri turistici esiste qualcosa di più strategico. La cucina in comune è dotata di tanti comfort tra cui macchinetta del caffè, bollitore e frigo. ⭐️ L'host mette a disposizione qualche merendina confezionata che può essere utile. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo trovo sia stato stato buono, considerando che ho soggiornato in agosto e ho prenotato molto sotto data.

Forse sarebbe utile indicare meglio che la struttura è raggiungibile solo a piedi percorrendo una scalinata ripida che con i bagagli risulta abbastanza faticosa. Il bagno è davvero piccolissimo (il lavandino micro 🤣) al contrario, la doccia è spaziosa e confortevole. Le finestre hanno i doppi vetri perciò il rumore del treno che passa sul ponte (esattamente sopra la casa) non si sente in modo fastidioso e c'è l'aria condizionata. Io non avevo capito che la casa fosse esattamente sotto ai binari (colpa mia!) Ma devo dire che era bello porter raggiungere il ponte così velocemente!

Francisca y Sandra estuvieron en contacto para comprobar que todo estaba bien y para darnos las indicaciones de llegada y los tres códigos. Al llegar teníamos dos botellas de agua y vino de Oporto como detalle. En la cocina hay café, té y madalenas gratis. La habitación era pequeña, con dos camas, pero cuqui y limpia.

Teníamos la habitación "crusted port" en la segunda planta, era una buhardilla, la olor se me hizo difícil de llevar. No sé si es la humedad o que las casas en esa zona huelen así, ventilamos y enchufamos el aire acondicionado en modo dry, pero nada quitó la olor. A veces olía más y a veces menos. Hasta la ropa cogió olor. El alojamiento está en unas escaleras bastante empinadas pero puedes ir haciendo paradas, de noche si hubiese viajado sola me habría dado miedo ir por esas calles, de hecho intentaron abrirme la mochila para robarme en esa calle. El metro pasa justo por arriba cada 10 minutos, se escucha bastante, empezaba sobre las 6 de la mañana y acababa a las 1:30 de la madrugada. La ducha es muy pequeña, necesitaría una balda para apoyar el gel, porque está en el suelo y prácticamente no hay espacio para agacharse y cogerlo.

La ubicación es ideal

Desgraciadamente, existen ruidos como el tren y la fiesta(inevitable si quieres estar en el centro de todo). Peri por lo general, me gustó.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place. The location is fantastic—being halfway up the famous stairs makes a huge difference, as you only have to climb about half the distance while still being just minutes from the Ribeira and all the main attractions. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept very well. The host was exceptionally friendly and checked in with us every day to make sure everything was going well, which made us feel very welcome. We also really appreciated the thoughtful extras. The complimentary bottle of Port wine was a lovely touch, and having bottled water and snacks available in the shared kitchen was much appreciated after a day of exploring Porto. Overall, an excellent stay with a great location, wonderful hospitality, and thoughtful amenities. We would happily stay here again!

L'appartamento si trova nella bellissima e storica Ribeira, quindi la posizione è eccellente. Ho trovato tutto pulitissimo e ci sono veramente tutti i confort possibili ed immaginabili: acqua, caffè, thé, camomilla, snack per la colazione (che io non ho mangiato perché sono vegana e non sono specificati gli ingredienti) e tutto il necessario per un viaggio confortevole come calici per il vino, asciugacapelli, forno a microonde, ecc... Ho molto apprezzato il vino porto offerto. Il balconcino completa poi la bellezza dell'appartamento, la vista è a dir poco meravigliosa. Se mai dovessi tornare nella splendida Porto, come mi auguro, tornerò alla Douro House e, ovviamente, la consiglierò ad amici e parenti.

C’est très propre, très confortable, et très beaux. Je trouve que c’est bien sécurisé.

J’ai le sommeil léger donc le matin avec le tram et les mouettes je me réveillais pleins de fois.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights only and we didn't want the stay to end!! The location was incredible, we had a view from the balcony onto the river that let us live out a fantasy. The interior design of the apartment was superb, and all the amenities listed in the ad were present. The owners were very helpful and answered all our questions within a few minutes. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back

Lokalita a zajímavé umístění ve skále a pod železničním mostem. Zajímavá ulice. Portské víno v pokoji.

Samotný pokoj měl papírové stěny. Byl sice krásný ale vše bylo slyšet z horního pokoje nad námi. Plus kuchyň byla sdílená s druhým pokojem. Za tu cenu jsem čekala vyšší kvalitu.

Great location in 5 min walk from Riviera area. You'll have a nice small room with your own shower and small kitchen common for several rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Authentic Portugal experience.

For me it was totally fine and doesn't disturb me that much, but the appartaments are located under the Luis bridge and sometimes you might hear trams moving across it. It doesn't sound like the walls are shaking, but if your sleep is sensitive and you do it early, you should be aware of it.

Es muy pequeño, en las fotos parecía más grande.

Der Blick aus dem Fenster zum Fluss. Die Lage direkt unter der Eiffelbrücke. Das Zimmer war eng. Die Betten standen ungünstig. auseinander. Verpackte Brötchen und Kaffee/Tee als Notfallverpflegung in einem Extraraum vorhanden. Die Dusche in unserm Zimmer war bemerkenswert gut.

Schwierig zu finden. Nur über anstrengende Treppen zu erreichen. Schwierig den Zugangscode für die Haustür zu bekommen. Weitere Stufen im Eingangsbereich. Zwischentür war nur mit einem weiteren Code zu öffnen. Weitere Stufen bis zur Zimmertür. Um die zu öffnen musste man noch einen Code haben, um den Schlüssel aus dem "Safe" nehmen zu können. Personal nur telefonisch zu erreichen.

There is nothing I don’t like, but guests have to be aware that this hotel is not accessible by car and can only be reached by stairs. This can be an issue for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage.

This place is right in the old town. Close to everything. Right under Eiffel’s bridge.

I was in the top room. No windows. No view whatsoever. Completely unlike the photos. If u have heavy luggage there is no way to get it up to the house. There are many many stairs just to the front door then stairs again to the rooms. If u have a backpack it should be fine.

Porto war einfach wunderschön. Das Douro View House Ribeira war toll und was Besonderes. Ich habe ein kleines Zimmer mit Stockbetten gebucht, das würde ich vielleicht nicht mehr tun due Stockbetten warwn einfach nicht meins und dieses Zimmer war schon sehr klein. Dafür habe ich aber auch sehr wenig bezahlt 😊 Aber ich würde dort jederzeit wieder buchen, aber halt ein größeres Zimmer Die Lage war top. Viele Stufen ...aber in Porto sind Stufen eh an der Tagesordnung.

Douro view house Ribeira est un hôtel atypique dans un secteur animé. Le prix correspondant à la prestation pour le lieu et l'animation. C'est très propre et l'hôtel est bien protégé par des codes.

Les nuits sont difficiles avec le tram qui passe au dessus de l'hôtel. Le lit est de mauvaise qualité. L'accès pour les personnes âgées est impossible avec les marches nombreuses de l'escalier mais c'est le charme du lieu.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was great from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and always there to help with anything we needed. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area. The room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. We would highly recommend this property and would happily stay here again.

Die Lage war super. Direkt an der berühmten Brücke Ponte de Dom Luis I. Die Unterkunft war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und das Haus sehr ursprünglich. Daneben ist ein süßes Café. Es gibt auch eine kleine Küche. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Immer nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist

Encantadora adaptación de un lugar patrimonial sin perder su encanto y valor. La ubicación es fabulosa, cercana caminando a los principales puntos de interés. Fabulosa vista al río Duoro y el puente don Luiz I.

Difficulty of getting to it- the stairs & trying to manage getting luggage into the place. It was our 1st trip internationally & to Porto so just didn’t imagine the difficulty in logistics. Also noise of the Metro/rail right above us.

Sliding door on bathroom and main room door ! Zero privacy from bathroom and main door ! I could clearly hear the guest above in all their actions ...yes lol. Key codes were cryptic at best! Property is stunning and the hosts lovely if your sub 40 it's fine and a great experience as built in to cliff face . Not one for people with poor mobility! Though ! 7 out of 10 !

Nice and handy to everything

For an older couple dragging our suitcases up and down the street stairs was a little awkward, but both days some very kind young people stopped and gave us a hand.

La ubicación es excelente, todo muy limpio y mucha atención para la comunicación.

La habitación algo pequeña. Está en una calle tranquila, aunque muy empinada. Acceso difícil para gente de edad o con problemas de movilidad.

There are a lot of steps to get to the house which may pose difficulties for someone with a suitcase.

Perfect location, great communication from the host, clear instructions on how to get into the property, a lovely clean and comfortable room, and thoughtful touches like port in the room, snacks in the kitchen.

Amazing location, great communication and very well resourced accommodation. Everything was explained very clearly for our arrival. There was a very well resourced communal kitchen with breakfast supplies provided free of charge. The room had everything we needed. We were allowed to leave our luggage after check out until we needed to leave, which was a plus. Port and bottles of water on arrival was a lovely touch.

Our bed was very creaky, so much so it affected our sleep. However, not a lot can be done during our stay and the hosts were very apologetic, advising they would be sorting the issue for future guests.

Da vista do Quarto para o rio lindíssima!

Não que não tenha gostado, mais o segundo quarto que fiquei era muito embaixo e como tenho um pouco de fobia de lugar muito fechado fiquei apreensiva, porém o restante os quartos são confortáveis e muito limpos.

Heel goede ligging met een prachtig uitzicht. Het appartement was heel netjes. Je kon altijd bij de gastvrouw terecht.

Ondanks de oordopjes kon je heel veel lawaai horen van onder andere de metro en meeuwen.

Sehr zentral gelegen, an einer Treppe zwischen Kathedrale und Douro. Netter Kontakt zur Vermieterin und eine kleine Küche mit Kaffee und Snacks für einen guten Start in den Tag. Zusätzlich gab es Wasser und leckeren Portwein im Zimmer

Abends etwas laut, durch die Fußgänger. Die Straßenbahn fährt über den Dächern der Unterkunft, das könnte störend sein (es gibt aber auch Ohrstöpsel in der Unterkunft)

Es un alojamiento correcto para pasar un fin de semana. Se trata de un edificio viejo reacondicionado como habitaciones para el turismo. La decoración es original y el lugar muy céntrico y auténtico. Aunque no te atiende nadie en persona, están pendientes en todo momento por teléfono.

El baño era muy estrecho. Para acceder al alojamiento hay que subir muchas escaleras y está muy cerca de las vías del tren. Nosotros no llevamos equipaje, por lo que las escaleras no fueron un problema. El ruido del tren tampoco fue un problema, porque después de pasar los días enteros caminando dormíamos como "troncos".
