La habitación está genial, muy bien equipada y muy tranquila. Las vistas son geniales y el dueño que es quien lo gestiona, es muy amable y atento. El desayuno está genial también. Utilizamos el Servicio de Lavandería que te ofrecen y la ropa quedó impecable.

La ducha no tenía presión de agua, pero de resto, todo genial.

The room and view are insane. Very spacious, new and that view...damn. Also breakfast and staff are amazing.

Be prepared to walk uphill and carry your luggage uphill a little, or get a tuk tuk. Taxi driver (car) wasn't able to get up there. Also when it's very hot you can smell the trash place that's a little further.

Moeizame weg er naar toe, eenmaal daar centrum makkelijk te bereiken met binnendoor weggetje. De vliegjes buiten was echt veel.

Excelente alojamiento con mucho encanto, habitación super amplia y cómoda con vistas increíbles. La familia propietaria es adorable, siempre con una sonrisa, y te preparan un desayuno exquisito. Si vuelvo repetiré en este hotel sin duda.

Hosts gentilissimi e premurosi (all'arrivo ci hanno offerto thè e biscotti). Particolarmente pulito e accogliente con un bel terrazzo con vista sulla ferrovia. A cinque minuti a piedi dal centro e dalla stazione.

Niente insetti tranne qualche mosca di troppo. Per il resto nulla da dire.

La chambre est spacieuse , confortable, propre avec un balcon vue sur la montagne et le chemin de fer en contrebas. Des mini écureuils Sri lankais et des oiseaux en quantité et proches du logement. Le petit déjeuner est varié, en grande quantité,jus frais, pain, omelette ... Notre hôte était très à l'écoute, a pu nous emmener en tuk tuk et en taxi aux différents endroits choisis pour un tarif "normal" (attention aux Tuk tuk à Ella qui spéculent sur le dos des touristes occidentaux). Nous recommandons cet établissement.

Selon le vent et ce n' est absolument pas de la faute de notre hôte, quelques odeurs de la décharge à proximité peuvent arriver jusqu'au logement. Rien de gravement perturbant.

A 10 minutos andando de la estación de tren, personal muy amable y servicial. Mega desayuno. Está en una zona tranquila, a unos 10 minutos andando del centro. Habitación amplia y cómoda, cama con mosquitera, y pequeña terraza exterior.

Las cortinas dejaban entrar demasiada luz al amanecer, la ducha no tiene mampara (algo habitual), y la habitación no tiene aíre acondicionado, aunque hay un ventilador.

Erg leuk klein hotel met totaal 4 kamers (wij hadden ze alle 4). Op balkon kon je goed zitten en heb je fantastisch uitzicht over de bergen en op de treinbaan. Centrum is op korte loopafstand (stukje gemaakt pad en dan stukje over het spoor). Je zit dichtbij, maar wel uit de drukte. Lekker ontbijt en super aardige familie.

De vuilnisbelt om de hoek ruikt niet fijn (afhankelijk van hoe de wind staat). Hierdoor denk ik ook wat meer vliegen. Tip voor bij de ontbijtplek; zet een ventilator neer of hang er 2 aan het plafond, dat zal veel schelen.

The room was gorgeous with a view over the train tracks and we got to see the famous train pass. The breakfast was delicious and the stuff was extremely kind. The room came with tea, coffee and incense. The location was perfect. Five minutes walk to the center of the town it was on a peaceful street that you could just take the path downto the center.

Unfortunately, the property is located near a garbage belt, which means that sometimes there was a waft of the garbage smell

The owner is so welcoming and friendly and did everything he could to ensure we were happy and comfortable during our stay. He cooked us breakfast in his home every morning, which was just down the hill from the hotel. The view was amazing and we could see the train pass by from our balcony. The location is a 5 minute walk to the center of Ella, where there are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The room was clean and bathroom was good!

Everything was great for us! There was no option of aircon in our room, but Ella was relatively cool in temperature so this was fine as we had a fan provided in the room. The location was great for us, but people who aren't as able to walk up steep hills will need to be mindful of the hills and steps in the side of a bank on the train tracks.

What an amazing place! An absolute must if you are in Ella. Ishara and Lasanti are the most perfect of hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. We were lucky enough to stay in their brand new room and it was fantastic! The breakfast: wow!!! Everything about this place is perfect. The best place we’ve stayed in the whole of our three week trip in Sri Lanka.

Hele lieve host. Perfecte locatie voor Ella, binnen 2 minuten in het dorp via het spoor. Mooie kamer met geweldig balkon. Ontbijt is uitstekend!

Hier kan de host niet zoveel aan doen naar er is een vuilnisbelt dichtbij. En aangezien het 30 graden was met de wind in de verkeerde richting, rook het niet fris. Dat is jammer. Ik denk hierdoor ook veel vliegen. Een tip voor de host kan zijn om wat geurstokjes te plaatsen op het balkon. En de verlichting is fel en wit. Misschien wat sfeerverlichting op de kamer en het balkon? Verder perfect hoor.

Man sollte einfach damit rechnen, dass es Echsen im Zimmer geben könnte (allgemeines Thema in Sri Lanka), das Bad hatte eine offene Dusche, sodass es etwas herausfordernd war, die Feuchtigkeit herauszubekommen, da der Boden sehr nass war.

Esta en una zona que huele muy mal, aguas residuales. La habitación no de asemeja a las fotos, no son reales. Dormimos con cucarachas y lagartijas en la habitación. La habitación y el baño huelen a humedad, no esta limpio.

- Gastgeber sind so herzlich, wie selten erlebt - Frühstück ist außergewöhnlich lecker, vielfältig und üppig (Dal, Roti, Sambal, Hopper, frisches Obst, Marmelade, Toast, etc.), jeden Tag mit einer neuen srilankischen Spezialität - Aussicht auf Ella Rock und Zug ist herrlich - Man ist überall (Bahnhof, Restaurants, Shops, Ella Rock Wanderweg etc.) in kürzester Zeit (an der oder über die Gleise laufen, ist hier ganz normal) - Zimmer hat alle essentiellen Annehmlichkeiten: bequemes Better mit Mückennetz, gutes WLAN (für Videocalls aber nicht immer ausreichend), es ist wunderbar hell durch große Fenster und hat einen Balkon, der mit Aussicht und Stühlen und Tisch zum Verweilen einlädt

- Eine Müllhalde ist nicht weit. Wenn der Wind schlecht steht, riecht man das auch ab und an, wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzt. Im Zimmer hat es aber immer wunderbar geduftet und das Problem bestand auch nur bei schlechter Windrichtung

Very nice location, with amazing view from the room/balcony. Rooms were very clean and with mosquito net. Tea/coffee as we arrived. Breakfast was plenty full and tasty. Owners were kind and helpful.

La ubicación perfecta. A 5 min del centro y sin el bullicio, puedes caminar por las vías del tren y es muy agradable. También nos hicieron la colada. Fueron realmente amables. El desayuno perfecto. Muchas gracias!

The location is amazing—just a short 4-minute walk to the main road and the train station in Ella, yet secluded enough that it remains incredibly quiet and peaceful. It is a family-run business, and you can truly feel the warmth and care they put into their property. The rooms are renovated, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast they served was very good. It's a wonderful place to relax!

The only negative aspect was the lack of acoustic isolation between the rooms. You can hear almost everything from the room next door. I highly recommend packing a good pair of earplugs, and if you have those, you'll have a fantastic stay!

Wenn man in Ella ist, sollte man auf jeden Fall in dieser Unterkunft übernachten. Fußläufig ist das Zentrum von Ella schnell zu erreichen und liegt abseits vom Trubel. Man hat eine schöne Sicht auf die Eisenbahn, die mehrmals am Tag vorbeifährt. Der Host und seine Familie waren sehr gastfreundlich und haben uns ein leckeres Frühstück serviert. Zur Ankunft gab es Tee und Kekse auf unserer Terrasse. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und das Zimmer sehr sauber. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.

Wunderschönes Zimmer mit Riesenterrasse auf den Ella Rock und die Bahngleise. Sehr leckeres Frühstück. Familie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Nur der Geruch von der naheliegenden Müllkippe war etwas unangenehm. Da kann aber die Unterkunft nichts dafür.

Fantastic location, short walk to main St in Ella, views of Ella Rock from the balcony. We could sit on the balcony and watch birds, monkeys etc. Breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka!! So much food, we didnt need to eat again until night.

Perched on a height above the main road, this property offers a quiet retreat while still being conveniently close to the town centre - about a 10-minute walk, or a quick tuk-tuk ride if you prefer. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped, with a refrigerator, kettle and a standing fan. There’s no air-conditioning, but honestly, in Ella’s pleasant weather, you won’t need it. One of the best moments here is sitting out on the verandah early in the morning, sipping your tea while listening to the gentle chorus of chirping birds - pure bliss.

The host was lovely, the view was gorgeous, and the location was in the middle of Ella which was close to everything.

The room was spacious, clean and was described as the listing. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the view of Ella Rock from the deck outside the room. Bonus was the railway line as well. The owner and family were so welcoming. The location was good making it overall very good value.

Хороший вид из номера на железную дорогу (для нас это плюс). Отличная терасса для отдыха с тенью после обеда.

Завтрак мягко говоря слабоват. Кондиционера в номере нет. Надо к этому быть готовым. Хотя с вентилятором было достаточно комфортно.

Die Gastgeber waren außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker und enthielt unter anderem landestypische sehr leckere Speisen. Das Zimmer unter dem Dach hatte einen großen Balkon mit Sitz- und Entspannungsmöglichkeiten und eine phantastische Aussicht mit Blick auf Ella Rock und die Bahngleise. Die liebevolle Ausstattung mochte ich sehr. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Vielen Dank!

Der Wasserdruck war niedrig, das hatten wir aber auch in anderen Unterkünften. Da man Zeit hat, ist das aber auch nicht wirklich schlimm.

Great location. Walking distance along the railway to the center. Beautifull view on Ella rock from the large terrasse overlooking the famous railway. Quiet room that has all you need,. no AC but fan. Basic facilities. A small effort could make this house a prime location. Owner super friendly and helpfull. Decent breakfast, mix SL and continental. Value for money.

De accommodatie is ruim en heeft een groot balkon/terras waar je heerlijk buiten kunt zitten en een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen hebt. De gastheer en gastvrouw zijn heel aardig en verzorgen een prima, uitgebreid ontbijt. Gezien de prijs, krijg je heel veel waar voor je geld. De locatie is ook top want binnendoor via de spoorlijn sta je zo in Ella.

Soms wat minder warm water in de douche maar gezien de prijs is dit een top accommodatie.

Нас встретил хозяин, очень уж улыбался, но как только получил оплату, больше мы его и не видели. Завтрак это ужас, готовьтесь что вас накормят сплошными углеводами , просто хлебом в разных вариантах . Мы останавливались на два дня, на второй день отказались от завтрака и завтрак устроили себе сами . Ванная комната вся убитая, напора воды в душе нет. В номере ночью ползала большая ящерица. Месторасположение далековато от центральной улицы, подниматься в горку тяжеловато да ещё через ж/д дорогу, после дождя шли по размытой глине. И самое ужасное - это общественная помойка рядом, постоянная жуткая вонь. Сама Элла нам очень понравилась , но в другой раз в этом отеле не остановилась бы!

Wir wurden mit Kaffee (wahlweise auch Tee) empfangen. Das Zimmer ist sauber, mit einem sehr großen Moskitonetz über dem Bett und es gibt sogar einen Kühlschrank. Die Aussicht auf die Bahngleise und den Ella Rock ist fantastisch. Das Sri Lanka Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. In der Nähe gibt es auch ein schönes Restaurant mit einem der besten Currys: Sleek Spoon Restaurant. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

We were very warmly welcomed and felt a warm welcome throughout our stay, we were provided with assistance with excursions, and the host also recommended a wonderful restaurant nearby, where the food was truly delicious. We loved Royal Vantage! We originally booked 1 night but loved it so much we booked a further night. The location is beautiful really close to the Main Street but still quiet at night. Ishara arranged birthday decorations and flowers for my girlfriend’s birthday which was lovely, he helped us with laundry and a taxi to our next location and the breakfast was so good! 5/5 thank you so much we highly recommend!

This place was lovely with a beautiful view. Nice big room. Staff very friendly, welcoming and informative. The breakfast was served outside at their home and it was huge and so peaceful. The walk into the centre was literally 6 minutes walk down the railway track which we could see from our room. Would definitely recommend

Au calme, à 5 minutes de l'agitation de la rue principale. Terrasse agréable avec le chant des oiseaux et la présence de petits écureuils. Bon petit déjeuner et super copieux. L'adresse renseignée par le gérant pour aller manger le soir dans un resto où on sert de la cuisine locale était une excellente recommandation. Il a également rendu notre transfert vers Tangalle facile.

L'air conditionné aurait été un petit plus (mais on le savait avant la réservation)

Sehr schönes Gästehaus mit riesiger Terrasse und Blick auf den Ella Rock und die Gleise. Tolles Frühstück von den Besitzern. Sehr nett und freundlich. Man läuft runter über die Gleise in 5 Minuten zur Hauptstraße mit alles Restaurants und Geschäften. Trotzdem ruhig. Sehr gemütliches Bett

Very good location close to train station and main road but still in very quiet area. Room very comfortable and thought through. Very delicious breakfast, probably the best during our travels.

We stayed for two nights in this lovely property with the most incredible view! The room was very comfortable with a big bed, a/c and a huge balcony. A lovely breakfast was served including western and Sri Lankan dishes. The location is fantastic, quiet and peaceful but just a short walk down the train tracks to Ella (bring a torch!). The hosts were incredibly kind and gentle people. Waking up early and watching the birds swoop over the trees from the balcony is one of my favourite memories from our trip.

Nothing to dislike, however be aware that the property is on a short steep hill so probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Taxis are better off waiting for you at the top! Also Ella itself is very overdeveloped, noisy and crowded. We were glad to be staying slightly outside the town.

Amazing location, right on the railway tracks and easy walk into Ella centre! We are so glad we stayed here. The hosts are so kind, responsive and friendly. They helped us with our laundry and organised our onwards travel. Delicious breakfast too! Highly recommended.

Schitterend gelegen ruime kamer met uitzicht op omliggende bergen en het spoor, waar de scenic train enkele keren per dag langs komt. Op korte loopafstand van centrum en het station van Ella (minuut of 5). Daarmee niet direct in de drukte en herrie van het centrum. Ook snel bij leuke hikes in de buurt. Kamer was heel schoon en comfortabel met heerlijk warme douche. Leuk zitje buiten en lekker ontbijt van de supervriendelijke eigenaren. Absolute aanrader!

De locatie is echt super! Je kan via het spoor binnen 5 minuten in het centrum zijn. De trein kan je vanaf het balkon zien. Verder is de kamer schoon en de gastheer vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader!

Dit hotel ligt echt op 5 minuten afstand van de stad. De mensen en het ontbijt is goed! De bedden zijn ook goed. Goede prijs kwaliteit!

Tolle Unterkunft, perfekt gelegen, 3 Minuten von der Stadt und trotzdem alles mega ruhig. Schön gelegen an den Bahnschienen. Von dort aus geht es direkt auf die Wanderroute zum Ella Rock. Riesen Frühstück und total liebe Leute.

Wij hadden een nieuwe, nette en schone kamer op de bovenverdieping met prachtig uitzicht! Binnen 5 min lopen sta je in de hoofdstraat van Ella. Wij huurden een scooter, wat ik kan aanraden. Het ontbijt was echt fantastisch. Toast met ei, fruit (shake) maar ook altijd een Sri Lankaans gerechtje. De eigenaar (en zijn familie) zijn super lieve mensen. Laten je direct welkom voelen en helpen je waar nodig.

The host is a great guy, always helpful and at disposal: one of the best guy we met in Sri Lanka! Breakfast is huge, everyday different and various (local food + toast and egg). The location is absolutely perfect to visit the town and start your hikings.

Rooms and breakfast place are in two different locations but that's no issue. Breakfast was of good quality. You may get a room with a view to the mountain and train track or on the other side of the building. Access to the location is steep but can be handled by a Tuktuk. The room is clean, no AC but a fan. Since you're at some 1100m, you won't need AC. There's a net around the bed to keep flies and stuff away. Since you are way from town and if you are into star watching, this is a good place since it's pretty dark during the night without and "light-noise".

It's a short walk along to train tracks to get into town which means you are not right into the centre of the nightly party which is good. But still, you will hear the nightly partying noise up to 0200. It's somewhat annoying since it may prevent you to catch a good sleep. It's not specific to this location but all places around Ella are concerned, unfortunately.

Alojamiento de 10 en todo, cómodo, limpio, cerca del centro por un pequeño trayecto por las vías, el sitio espectacular con vistas preciosas y el dueño súper atento y siempre con una sonrisa. El desayuno de los mejores que hemos tomado en Sri Lanka. Para repetir sin duda.

De accommodatie is onwijs mooi, erg schoon en met prachtig uitzicht. De host is heel behulpzaam en hielp ons gelijk met de activiteiten die we wilden doen in Ella en het regelen van vervoer. Ook het ontbijt is heel goed verzorgd.

Het uitzicht is prachtig, maar je zit wel naast het spoor dus je kan de trein wel goed horen vanuit de kamer. Wij hadden er verder weinig last van.
