My man Absheik was lovely, accomodating and very helpful for anything I needed. The room was lovely, well located, had a fabulous view and private balcony. It's well tucked away yet spacious and light. I love steps, but if you're not enthused by them or inclines then you'd have a very short tuktuk ride. Breakfast huge and freshly prepared. The bed super comfy, there were a selection pillows, lovely cotton not poly bedding, mozzie net that I didn't use, shower and great towels. It's only a 2 room stay so super private and no passing traffic. It is a stones throw from Matey Hut, an absolute MUST eat at. Very close to the train station and main hub.

The ONLY 2 things I would say as a bit of a neg is that in my instance I had to ask for a bedding re-do. A smell of use and a hair, yet crisply folded so maybe just a washing oversight. I'm sure it's not the "norm". To be fair I am a bed snob. My request was immediately dealt with but as a traveller this must be mentioned. the other is that there was no brewed Sri Lankan coffee, my only stay in 2 weeks without. Cash only!!

Alles Top, man sollte nur Treppensteigen können, da der Zugang über eine steile Treppe erfolgt.

Great location, small boutique B&B, with the fantastic Abishek on hand for anything you might want. Fabulous breakfast, you must try the chilli/vegetable omelette ! Quiet location yet only 5 minutes down into town. Balcony views & very personalised experience with only 2 rooms. Excellent stay for 2 nights.

El alojamiento está situado a pocos metros de la calle principal de Ella, no es necesario transporte, está ubicado en una zona alta (rampa y escaleras para llegar), pero ofrece unas vistas desde el balcón perfectas. La habitación está limpia, tiene mosquiteras en la cama y aire acondicionado, cuenta con microondas. El desayuno espectacular. El personal es muy amable. Todo perfecto.

Struttura nuova e pulitissima immersa nel verde, ma a pochi passi dal centro di Ella. Vista spettacolare; ci siamo rilassati nel bere un caffè sul terrazzo guardando il panorama. Ottima colazione e il personale davvero gentilissimo.

We stayed here for two and could have easily stayed longer. The room was clean with fantastic views of Ella including the iconic train line. Abshiek provided fantastic service by helping plan our sight seeing, recommending restaurants and bars, carrying our bags to the room and cooking an amazing breakfast of eggs, pancakes and making fresh fruit juice. Abshiek was always there when we needed assistance and happy to help. If we were ever to visit Ella again we would only stay here.

Nous avons passé une seule nuit dans cet endroit mais nous avons apprécié la chambre, l'emplacement à deux pas de la rue principale et de la gare. This was a great stay. The room was great with an amazing view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious and filling. It is walking distance into town which is super handy. You do have to walk up some stairs to get to your room but I would say its worth it with the amazing views. And the staff insists on carrying your bags up for you.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, geräumig und komfortabel. Besonders geschätzt haben wir die herzliche Gastfreundschaft der Gastgeber, die uns jederzeit mit Tipps und Unterstützung zur Seite standen. Das Frühstück war frisch zubereitet, abwechslungsreich und ein gelungener Start in den Tag. Die Lage eignet sich hervorragend, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten von Ella zu erkunden und anschließend die Ruhe der Unterkunft zu genießen. Vielen Dank für die herzliche Aufnahme. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Third Eye Ella uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Hola. hemos tenido una estancia perfecta en este agradable Hotel, te sientes muy bien, vistas maravillosas. Trato del personal excelente. Habitación perfecta y el desayuno muy bueno. Todo recomendable.

Nada. Parece apartado al principio pero si quieres tener esas vistas no puedes estar alojado en el Centro.

La ubicación es excelente, puedes ir perfectamente andando desde la estación de tren y estando cerca de todo es bastante tranquilo para descansar, el desayuno estupendo y más serviciales no pueden ser, si volviera repetiría.

El último tramo es una cuesta que con las maletas se hace complicado pero nada que no resuelva un tuc-tuc.

Great location, just minutes from the main town and train station, but located up a short steep hill/steps (3/4mins walk) so very peaceful. The room was very comfortable with fantastic views. Nice breakfast and the staff were very accommodating. Wish I could have stayed longer!

So much to love here! The view, the people, the breakfast, the location. Felt like a magical treehouse adventure. Walking distance to town (steps and steep hill) but so little noise. Perfect - one of my favourite places to stay ever!

Like everywhere in Ella there’s a short, steep hill to get to the accomodation and steps to the room. I arrived with some knee pain so it was a little challenging but everywhere here is up a hill.

The second we checked in we told the property we want to extend to 2 nights instead of one, they said a price we said we want to extend ok but is there a way for better price, the employee said he would talk to the manager, the day after in 10 am, the manager says remember to check out today and thats the night are fully booked after we talked with employee on staying this night

Stylish guesthouse just a short tuk-tuk or taxi ride down the hill to the lively village of Ella, which has a great vibe. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished, with stunning views across the valley to Adam’s Peak. There was a generous terrace with reclining chairs, perfect for enjoying morning coffee or evening drinks. The bed was super comfortable, and the room had excellent facilities, including a microwave. Breakfast was served on the pretty terrace outside the hosts’ home and was delicious and generous. The staff were wonderful—especially a friendly young man who helped with our luggage and perfectly represented the warm and helpful nature of Sri Lankan hospitality. I would highly recommend this gem for a stay in Ella.

Everything is perfect. So close to town but quiet! No traffic sounds, no club beats at 2 AM, no dogs barking. In fact you get a private balcony overlooking a valley. Abisek is polite and professional and personable and his excellent service is another big plus.

This is a private Guest House with only two rooms: Opal and Ruby. I think the owners are developing a third room but it looks like it is in progress. We stayed in the Ruby room, which was the floor above Opal. The room was beautiful, beautifully furnished, perfectly clean and the same with the bathroom. Comfiest bed and pillows in our whole Sri Lanka trip. The 4th wall was glass with a balcony and the view was breathtaking. We spent lots of time relaxing on that balcony. The breakfast was lovely and the staff so helpful. The location was perfect, right at the end of the main Ella strip, walking distance to everything, but quiet and serene (the strip can be very noisy). What I hadn't realised is to get to the Guesthouse you walk up a very steep road, and then a flight of stone steps. This leads to the owners house where they serve breakfast on the veranda. There is no hotel reception as such. To get to the rooms you have to walk up another flight of stairs to Opal, and a second flight to reach Ruby. But thats how you get the exceptional views on the balcony and from the room, but you have to be physically mobile to do this. For us the cardio was worth it, and the location meant we could come to and from the room throughout the day as we needed. We loved this accommodation and stayed for 4 nights. I think it was our favourite place out of everywhere we stayed in Sri Lanka.

I would recommend the owners put a sign at the bottom of the slope for Third Eye Ella, and also at the bottom of the stairs to the rooms, so guests know they have arrived at the right place. But there was nothing we didn't like.

The location is great and close to town, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the room is so comfortable with a great view and monkeys in the trees near the balcony, aircon was great, hot shower great and the staff were so helpful and friendly. If we go back to Ella this will definitely be where we stay again. Thank you very much for the great experience.

Great little guest house, we really enjoyed our stay there. Room and bathroom spotlesly clean. Beautiful view from the balcony, perfect place to enjoy a cold beer. Mini fridge, microwave and tea and coffee facilities in the room. Staff were lovely and breakfast delicious. It looked led better than it does on photos, you get an amazing view from your bed. Die Unterkunft ist gut gelegen um in die Stadt zu kommen. Man muss schon gut zu Fuss sein wegen der vielen Treppen, für uns mit 2 Kindern (7 und 10) war das aber kein Problem. Die Inhaber sind sehr nett und haben uns ein super tolles Frühstück gezaubert. Die Ausstattung war super und sehr bequem.

Man befindet sich in einem Rohbau. Es sind zwei Zimmer perfekt fertig, aber der Rest vom Gebäude und Gelände ist Baustelle. Es war die teuerste Unterkunft auf unserer Rundreise was Preis- Leistung angeht

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay here. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and everything we needed - plus a big balcony with a truly incredible view across the valley to Ella’s rock. Big thank you to Abhishek who took great care of us and was super welcoming. Lovely breakfast too!

Room and facilities were very good. View from balcony was stunning. Mosquitoes net toiletries etc. Breakfast provided was OK.

Access ! Property was hard to find. The access road was steep and rutted . Then we had to climb up a slope and a number of high, external steps to reach the room . Anyone with health or mobility problems would not be able to cope with this. There is no warning about this.

Wir hatten eine wunderbares Zimmer mit einem tollen Balkon und bequemen Stühlen mit einer tollen Aussicht. Zum Zimmer ging es ein paar Treppen nach oben. Unser Gepäck wurde vom freundlichen Personal ins Zimmer gebracht. Zu den Restaurants an der Mainroad in Ella ist man recht schnell. Im Zimmer haben wir nichts vermisst und die Ausstattung hat so manches 4 Sterne Hotel übertroffen.

Accommodatie met prachtig uitzicht, zeker als je het bovenste appartement hebt. Mooi, ruim en schoon maar houdt rekening dat je goed ter been moet zijn met de trappen en dat dit op een aardig steile heuvel ligt waar niet elke taxichauffeur voor omhoog wilt rijden. Ontbijt is prima en wordt beneden bij het woonhuis geserveerd.

This is only a short walk from the centre of Ella, although it's a bit steep coming back from the town. The room was clean and had a wonderful view - with a lovely balcony from which to enjoy it. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly.

I wasn't prepared for the number of stairs to the room itself. I was struggling with ill health at the time and had I realised, I might have booked somewhere that didn't have so many stairs. However, if that's not a problem for you then this is a great place to stay.

Fabulous room with a balcony view to die for. Top notch facilities in the room. Ella is a bustling, busy little town with many places to eat and drink but can be noisy. Fortunately, there was peace and quiet at the hotel - just the sound of nature. Nine Arch bridge is accessible along the tracks nearby, and just a little way past Ella Station is a trackside shack playing laid back blues and selling a range of refreshments. Cool place!

We are an older couple and the approach road is steep, and plenty of steps up to our room. But it was worth the climb!

Loved our stay at Third Eye Ella. Location was absolutely perfect. Room was very clean. We had the most incredible view from the balcony. You could see the train and waterfall. The breakfast was also incredible. Also really loved the staff. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Ella.

Quite a few stairs to get to your room, but very worth it for the view too! We had a gecko in our room, the owner came quick but we couldn’t find it again haha!

We had the best and biggest breakfasts here during our two-week stay in Sri Lanka. There was always fresh juice, eggs prepared in form we wished, and various other additions. The hotel has only two rooms, both with a beautiful view of the jungle. In the distance, you can see a passing train, a waterfall, and plenty of greenery. Relaxing on the balcony is very pleasant. The room is very nicely decorated. The guy from the staff was very helpful and kind. Hotel is situated just few minutes from the train station and city centre, but this is still quiet place.

The bathroom could use a slight refresh.

Todo es perfecto en este hotel!!

Prima kamers met een fantastisch uitzicht en een geweldig fijne warme douche. Het uitzicht vanaf het balkon is 10+! Het ontbijt was ontzettend lekker, het beste ontbijt van onze hele reis. Verder heel vriendelijk ontvangen en geholpen door de jongeman die de kamers beheert. Op 5 minuutjes lopen (klimmen) van Ella town.

Rondom de 2 huidige kamers wordt druk gebouwd. Beetje schrikken als je arriveert in een bouwput. Eenmaal binnen zie je er niks meer van en verder ook geen overlast ervaren. Om naar het stadje te lopen moet je meerdere trappen af, niet geschikt voor mensen met beperkingen.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt oder gebrauchen könnte, selbst zwei Flaschen Bier waren kalt gestellt für uns. Das Highlight ist natürlich der Ausblick, der vor allem bei Tageslicht phänomenal ist. Die Lage der Unterlunft ist eigentlich ideal, wenn man kein Problem mit mehreren Treppenstufen hat, da man am Ende der Mainstreet von Ella ist und durch die höhere Lage etwas ungestört von dem ganzen Trubel ist. Trotzdem ist man zentral direkt im Geschehen, wenn man möchte.

Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de hotelkamer. Super schoon en ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Wij hebben hier drie nachten verbleven en het was top!

Het ligt op een heuvel hierdoor moet je best stijl omhoog. Voor ons geen probleem, maar wel goed om te weten.
