La dueña del hotel fue encantadora, muy amable y nos ayudó en lo que necesitamos. El desayuno tenía un precio aceptable (1500LKR mediano) La ubicación estaba bien, una calle tranquila y a unos 5 minutos andando del lago. Cerca del establecimiento tienes distintos lugares para comer y cenar.

Superb location, walking distance from Kandy center, the room was very clean and staff super friendly! Would recommend especially for people willing to go trekking in the knuckles mountains, they are the pioneers for that activity in Sri Lanka!

The hotel is situated in a quieter location, uphill near the lake. The no name restaurant nearby is a nice place to have lunch or dinner. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel is the perfect place to stay when you want to do a hike in Knuckles mountain. We did a 2 day hike and we could leave are bags in the hotel. The lady of the hotel is very friendly. We felt at home.

Anulla i køkkenet lavede fantastisk mad traditionelt morgenmad, Kantee som har stedet var meget behjælpelige med at booke traditionel dans og Thusrsa kan hjælpe med at hente og bringe dig hvis du skal til fx den botaniske have. Personalet er ufatteligt søde og det er en meget fair pris for faciliteterne. De har en sød lille terrasse med blomster og udkig udover Kandy. Du kan gå til søen I Kandy og har en god central placering! Varme anbefalinger herfra! Vi havde desuden vores datter på 7 mdr. med som de var så søde ved!

The location on south side of the lake is where all the hotels are, away from the noise of Kandy but a short walk into town.

It was functional. I feel I could have got ac, or breakfast or a view somewhere else for the same price.

I have travelled with my daughter and Son & property is in well secure area. The Location is very close to Kandy Lake and Dalada Maligawa was also in walking distance. Room was well Organize. Good hospitality shows from the host. Highly recommended to others.

Pleasant, thoughtful owner; about a fifteen minute walk from the Folkloric music show at the Red Cross (we took a Tuktuk but that is not necessary, don’t miss the show !); NoName restaurant 200m away is authentic, cheap, wholesome; a fancy and popular rooftop pizza place is across the street. Nice breakfast. Temple of the Tooth very close on foot (about 20 min)

Amazing location, 3rd story balcony attached to our room showed a view of Kandy lake and temple. Room and facilities were very nice, we had a private bathroom. Host was helpful and arranged a private driver for us to continue our travels to Ella. Breakfast was not included in the room price but was offered by the host for extra. It was very nice but maybe slightly expensive. Very good overall!

Die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich, interessiert und man erfährt einiges über Sri Lanka. Sie organisierte uns unkompliziert den Tagesausflug nach Sigiriya zu einem anständigen Preis. Die Zimmer sind einfach, dem Preis entsprechend und sehr sauber. Das Guesthouse liegt in Gehdistanz zum Zentrum.

De host was zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam. Ze heeft een taxi geregeld voor onze fietsen zodat wij met de trein naar Nuwara Eliya konden en dan daar werden opgepikt en naar ons hotel daar werden gebracht met de fietsen.

We loved our stay here..... The property is on a steep hill so if you struggle with inclines (We were OK) I would definitely ask Niluka about the Tuk Tuk service she can provide. The location was perfect for us, five minute walk down to the lake, a lovely stroll (15 minutes) to The Temple of Tooth and to the city centre. Breakfast was lovely (Continental) & plenty of it! The room was big and clean with a very good AC. The bathroom was clean (Slightly dated) & had a powerful shower. Niluka was the most nicest lady and the perfect host!! Nothing was to much trouble.... From sorting out a driver for our day trip to Sigiryia or our Tuk Tuk to the train station. Thank you for an amazing stay! 🙏

Sehr schönes Ambiente, tolle Dachterrasse mit Blick auf den Zahntempel, schöne Zimmer, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

La struttura si trova in un buon punto, fuori dal caos della città che è comunque facilmente raggiungibile a piedi. È a conduzione familiare e fin da subito si è accolti con calore. Inoltre gestiscono anche un’agenzia con cui abbiamo fatto un bellissimo trekking di un giorno, con una loro guida molto capace e competente. La camera è molto semplice e pulita.

Hôtel bien situé, un peu en retrait mais accessible à pied du centre-ville. Personnel très sympathique.

Une hôte excessivement serviable et très gentille avec une belle terrasse. Le centre ville de kandy est accessible à pied (15 ou 20 min).

Our stay here was truly memorable thanks to the lovely lady who runs the place. She made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. Her warmth, kindness, and great conversation added a personal touch that you don’t often find. The two friendly cats were a charming bonus and made the space feel even cozier. It felt less like a hotel and more like staying with a friend. We couldn’t have asked for a better host!

Had a great stay at the Expeditor. Very comfortable lodgings. The walk into the centre of town is lovely along the lake. We organised a Knuckles Mountain trekking day through the hotel (Expeditor Trekking) which was really fantastic - our guide Mervin was a font of knowledge about Sri Lanka and happy to answer our questions about Sri Lankan life and society. The walk itself was beautiful and off the beaten track. We also organised a Three Temples tuk tuk tour with Thuseara who works at the hotel - he drove us to the botanical gardens, three beautiful 750 year old temples just outside Kandy and ended at two beautiful viewpoints looking over the city. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the temples. The day trips were very reasonably priced too. On our last day we had troubles with our train tickets and the hotel helped us to sort it out and ensured we got a train to Ella. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

We had an excellent stay here, the lady who owns the guest house is so lovely. We stay as a family of five and were very well looked after and felt very safe here. The food was lovely and the facilities clean with hot water.

A very spacious suite for our family. We recieved a warm welcome from the host. If you need a tuktuk driver the accomodation can provide one. Near the temple of the tooth (15 minute walk).

Location and View was very nice.

The breakfast was a bit basic , we had to ask for a second cup of coffee , and more food.

The accomodation was located in a steep street. We had a two bed room. It was at the edge with three windows and a perfect view to the candy lake and the tooth temple. It's in 20min walking distance. The host and stuff was very nice, helpfull and we felt very welcome. You can get Tickets for the cultural dance direct from the host.

Owner was very humble and accomodated all our requests. We liked the stay.

The hotel is okay but it is in a very noisy area. There were so many different sounds early in the morning, crows screaming, dogs barking and the school opposite started the day with extremely loud music that seemed to go on forever... I had quite some short nights. Otherwise the rooms are basic but clean, the host family is friendly and you can walk down to the town center within 15 minutes.

Expeditor Kandy is a 10 min walk away from the center but nicely located on a hill with a great view. The bedroom was spacious and clean.

The bathroom was a bit tiny and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet.

We really enjoyed our stay here especially the warm welcome and local information. We would recommend staying here. - Helpful host and great value for money - Great location in Kandy - short walk down the hill and you're at the lake! Take a gentle stroll around the lake and you're right in the hub of things; Fabulous Pizza place across the street if you want a change from Sri Lankan curry - Bedrooms was spacious, clean, had everything you need including a Mosquito net. - Shower was hot and had good pressure. If it is rainy day you may need to ask for electrical hot water to be turned on as usually run on Solar Power - We bought our tickets to the local cultural show through the guesthouse and organised a great tuk tuk tour to the Botanical Gardens and a few other places. - The view from the top of the hotel was fantastic; we grabbed a few beers at night and sat up there. Very relaxing. - Breakfast menu had variety. Best to order the night before. - Watch out for the monkeys - they are everywhere around here especially in the morning - but was advised to lock up and had no problem.

Nice stay, hospitable host, clean facilities, good location. We are very happy with our stay. Breakfast on the last day cost us 3355 for bread, butter, jam, egg, tea and service charge + 500 for a tuktuk to the station. We then shopped for some snacks to have on the train from the area outside the train station and we got 2 mangoes, 4 mandarins, samosas, water and crisps for about 800 rupees. The tuktuk from the town to the hotel cost us about 300 normally. Just sharing some costs with fellow travellers, so they know how much cash to have on them, and in case you don’t the accommodation also takes credit card :) The family was VERY kind and they helped us call a local number that we were trying to reach. Thank you so much for everything ❤️. Overall we had a great stay, would go back!

A nice place to start visiting Kandy.

It’s a very noisy neighborhood. The local school start outdoor music lessons at 7 in the morning. And there are monkeys!!

The location was great and The rooms authentic and clean. Our favourite part of this stay was definitely the host, she was very helpful with everything and extremely kind. We will miss her..

Room was spotless and the bed was comfy. The location is at the top of the hill so it wouldn’t be suitable if you’re not good at walking however tuktuks are easy to get. The host was also lovely and made us breakfast in the morning.

Stunning views from the balcony. Really comfortable beds and good air conditioning! The host was lovely, she made us tea when we arrived after having walked from the station in the rain. She also let us leave our luggage there as we were early for check in. The breakfast she made for us was also tasty and helped us on our travels with an early start.

The owner was incredibly welcoming. She wanted that we lived a good experience in her guest house and in Kandy. She had good advices. Feel free to ask her if you need advices. Thank you very much!

Good location, near to the lake and nice restaurants for dinner. The staff were really friendly and helpful - we went on a really nice tour of the three temples. The breakfast was delicious (just make sure to order Sri Lankan breakfast in advance). Rooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

Kanthi and her visiting daughter were very accommodating and so friendly and engaging. Making us feel so welcome. We were treated like family whilst our every need was met enthusiastically. We extended our stay and they went out of their way to enable this during such a busy festival time. Kandy central was within walking distance along the lake and there is a great pizza restaurant across the lane. Kanthi cooked us a lovely breakfast and we could relax on the balcony to view the lake.

The staff here were unbelievable. Always available for you. It was also my birthday during my stay and Dinusha went above and beyond to make sure it was special for me with a little party and handmade decorations he did himself. Complete with a birthday cake. The room was perfect for what we needed.

We had booked a lake view room which wasnt the case. Not a problem for us as the only time we were in our room was to sleep or change. Beautiful view from the communal areas though. Also not a problem for us but bear in mind it is up a steep hill.

A warm welcome and cold drink when we arrived which we very much appreciated. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the lake so near enough to walk to places but also quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle. A great view from the hotel. The room was clean, basic but comfortable and ideal for a short stay. We especially wanted to leave a good review as the young man who welcomed us was so nice and we made an error with leaving hundreds instead of thousands for a tip for him but we did appreciate his warm, friendly welcome.

We had a family apartment at the top of the villa, felt private & safe, ideal for families with children but we also met younger travellers and an older couple who were all happy too. Lots of good food options close by. Short walk to the lake.

Very spacious family apartment on the top floor (rooms number 14 and 15 plus large private space inbetween). The owners of the place are very welcoming and friendly. Great views of Kandy Lake, pleasant restaurants nearby. Good optional breakfast. Kandy Expediter on the ground floor of te same house can arrange hiking tours.

On the top floor, need to climb stairs. it is hard for my parents. have a lot of monkeys, can't open the window. cause by our room just have fan no A/C. if can't open the window, it is hot for us.
