Sehr stilvolles Haus aus den 30er Jahren in sehr zentraler und ruhiger Lage , individuell eingerichtet mit tollen Vintage Möbeln, großzügiger Eingangsbereich mit Bibliothek und Wohnzimmer Flair, sehr familiär.Mit Abstand die beste Unterkunft in unserem Sri Lanca Urlaub. Personal ( Dhanuka) ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit .. wir konnten bis zum Abend unser Gepäck dort lassen , sogar noch duschen und in einem tollen Wohnzimmer im Nebengebäude vor unserem langen Heimflug chillen. Ich kann dieses Haus nur aufs wärmste empfehlen Vielen Dank

Ho soggiornato qui con il mio compagno e la nostra bimba di 7 anni. Alloggio molto accogliente, staff gentilissimo: ci hanno accolto con una tazza di tè! Ottima posizione per raggiungere tempio e centro città a piedi. Stazione dei pullman facilmente raggiungibile a due fermate di bus.

La posizione molto comoda per poter girare la città anche a piedi (cosa altamente consigliata visto il gran traffico); la struttura è molto carina con parcheggio interno privato; la nostra stanza era spaziosa ma necessitava di qualche lavoro di manutenzione; del personale (alla fine solo con una persona ci siamo relazionati) possiamo solo dire di Shantha che si è dimostrato molto disponibile, cordiale, di compagnia anche se talvolta un po’ distratto; possibilità di cenare senza uscire apposta.

Il resto del personale poco empatico; ci hanno sistemato in una camera al piano di sopra e le pareti sottili e porte poco ermetiche non aiutano a tenere i suoni (urla, pianti, feste delle case vicine) all’esterno (conviene munirsi di tappi per le orecchie).

A very well maintained Heritage Bungalow at the heart of Kandy city just next to the lake. Very friendly owner and staff make you feel at home and we had a very good family stay. Our kids and parents enjoyed the vintage vibes with a very hospitable host and my daughter cherished the gel nails done by Kristine. Highly recommend.

Die Lage war ganz nett, die Unterkunft architektonisch interessant. Der Raum angenehm groß. Die Außenanlage selbst sehr hübsch gepflegt. Es gab ein Frühstück. Man kann nichts schlechtes dazu sagen aber auch nichts gutes. Das meiste war kalt aber das ist ja eher üblich.

Das Haus hat seine besten Jahre hinter sich und sollte dringend saniert werden. Zwar war es sauber aber Bad und Schlafzimmer sehr heruntergekommen. Wirklich ätzend und unangenehm sind die langen Ameisenstraßen an den Wänden in beiden Räumen. Sowas haben wir in keinem anderen Hotel bei gleicher Preisklasse in Sri Lanka bisher erlebt.

La casa colonial es muy bonita y está bien ubicado en lado sur del lago. Además la habitación era amplia. El personal era muy amable.

Al ser una casa antigua y tener zonas de jardín, había muchos bichos en la habitación (hormigas entrando por los apliques, una cuchara que entro por un agujero en una baldosa...). Deberían tener un mejor mantenimiento o sellar mejor los agujeros en la pared

We had a lovely stay at Fortune Heritage Home during our trip to Kandy. The house itself is beautiful - old world charm with modern comforts. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and hot water was perfect after a day of sightseeing.

Hotellet ligger tæt på søen i Kandy i den smukkeste have. Det er et imponerende hus med mange spændende rum. FIn morgenmad.

Ligger dejligt, men lidt langt fra lokale restauranter. Og der er virkelig meget larm og forurening omkring søen fra alle biler, busser og tuctucs. Jeg tror næste gang ville jeg vælge et sted længere væk fra søen og så bare gå en tur rundt om den som en udflugt.

I stayed at Fortuna Heritage in Kandy and had a really great experience. The location is excellent, right next to the lake, which makes the atmosphere very peaceful and beautiful. The property has a lovely heritage-style design with old antique decorations and wooden interiors that give the place a unique and traditional Sri Lankan feel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was extremely kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the stay. A special thanks to the team for accommodating us even though we arrived earlier than expected their hospitality was truly appreciated. The view, calm environment, and warm service made our stay memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy who wants a comfortable place with character and a perfect location near the lake.

Présence de moisissure dans toute la chambre et forte odeur d’humidité. Propreté qui laisse à désirer. Présence de cafards. + sur le point de partir, ils nous ont demandé de payer pour le packaging du petit déjeuner (juste le principe pas le montant).

La ubicación. Aunque es lejos de la ciudad (15 minutos caminando) esta bien cerca del lago y puedes ver a los murciélagos cuando salen a comer. El personal es muy atento. Nos lavaron la ropa a buen precio y quedó muy bien. Bien el estacionamiento.

La WiFi no llegaba bien al primer piso. Para nosotros que tuvimos que trabajar realmente fue un problema. Para ser un hotel había un exceso de bichos en la habitación, mucho más que en otros lugares en Sri Lanka que estaban literalmente en el medio de la selva. El hotel tiene dos cuerpos y nosotros estuvimos en el del fondo...todo ocurría allí. Lo pongo como negativo porque en las fotos se muestra sobre todo el cuerpo principal al que nosotros ni siquiera ingresamos.

Location and the property ambience from outside was good. Helpful staff and quite accommodating.

The property needs some real work, bathrooms are not even basic, lot of ants etc., AC doesn’t work and it can get quite hot. If some of these work can be done in terms of refurbishment it is going to be good property.

The staff was so incredibly kind. Erlani and shawnhe (not sure of the spelling) we’re very helpful and and kind. The fan in the room was a life saver and worked really well. It is incredibly centric. The house itself is beautiful. I would stay again! Great value!

The breakfast was not good. We tried both Sri Lankan and western and we really didn’t like it. That’s ok though it’s still a really nice place I would certainly stay here again. Also some shampoo would go a long way to compliment the shower gel already provided.

Great location excellent value for money

The property is distinctly shabby and could do with an upgrade. The welcome was not great - it was very dark inside when we arrived at 5pm. Simply turning on the lights would have made a difference. The furniture arrangement in the rooms was a bit quirky - large, imposing dark pieces of furniture prevailed. The bathroom could have been better, it had an old shower curtain. All the windows in all the bedrooms had frosted glass (due to there being no view) which made it feel a bit dingy. The main living area had no overhead fan so it was a bit too warm to sit in. But overall, this is fairly reflected in the price, so you get what you pay for.

Nous reviendrons ! La villa entourée d’un jardin bien enté est magnifique, éloignée des nuisances sonores de la route principale mais à 5 minutes à pied du lac . Le personnel est très attentionné et très professionnel. Mention spéciale pour le chef cuisinier qui est d’une gentillesse incroyable !

Rien ! Peut être la qualité des matelas mais pour deux nuits , ça passe .

Es hatte kein warmes Wasser. Die Türen vom Zimmer konnte man nicht richtig schliessen. Der Staff war freundlich aber ein wenig umständlich. Das Frühstück könnte besser sein. Sonder wünsche können nicht erfüllt werden.

L'accueil, l'emplacement, la bâtisse, la grandeur de la chambre, le déjeuner, tout était très bien!

Un tuyau avait brisé et de l'eau coulait dehors pendant toute la nuit, ce qui a troublé mon sommeil.

L'ambiance familiale et authentique. Aussi la proximité du lac et le jardin.

L’emplacement est très bien, très proche du lac ce qui permet d’aller en ville, au temple de la dent, au spectacle de danse à pied et en même temps d’être au calme très protégé du trafic incessant de la circulation. Le jardin et la maison sont des havres de paix et les parties communes ont un charme incroyable. Notre chambre (dans la deuxième partie) était spacieuse, propre, sans moustique ni autre bête, la douche chaude et l’air conditionnée fonctionnait très bien et la literie était correcte. Le personnel est très attentionné. Le petit-déjeuner sri lankais qui change tous les jours est très bien, le petit déjeuner continental est basique. Nous y sommes restés trois nuits et donc trois jours très reposants. Bon rapport qualité/prix.

Eine der besten Lagen, die in Kandy möglich sind. Ruhig in einem schönen Garten und trotzdem zu Fuß nur ein ganz kurzer Weg zum See und weiter ins Zentrum. Schöne geräumiges Zimmer großes Badezimmer und sehr sauber.

Das Frühstück passte nicht zur guten Lage, der Ausstattung und dem Preis. Sehr einfach. Ein Ei, Toast Marmelade und als Obst 4 kleine Bananen. Da war auf der Reise zur Mango und Papayazeit auch in billigeren Unterkünften überall besser.

Fantastic old colonial house with lots of history. Staff very helpful when we had a slight problem. They sorted it out immediately. Lovely garden to sit in.

Good staff. Big spacious room. Everything was clean. Outside the room a big sitting space with sofas coffee table and big tv. There also was a big dining table for us to sit and have dinner and breakfast. Dinner was priced reasonably. Bathroom was big.brighr room

No kettle in room

The location was good. We were able to leave our bags for the day whilst we did an excursion. Reception staff were very friendly.

The breakfast was very basic. The beds weren’t the most comfortable.

Приветливый персонал. Идеальное расположение - наша цель была храм Зуба Будды. По приезду нас напоили чаем. Лояльны к времени заезда и отъезда.

Проживание было с завтраками - мы выбрали ланкийский. Это был рис, омлет, жареная капуста и турецкий горошек очень острый. Лучше брать английский завтрак (если вы европеец). Напиток - сок из пакета. Жареные овощи можно разнообразить.

The location is very close to all major attractions.

Breakfast has very limited option and the property has 2 blocks. The block where our room was located looks like a dungeon, the dining area has almost no light and water leaks during rain in the stairs.

The staff is really friendly and the location of the place is right on money.

Everyone at Fortuna Heritage Home were extremely friendly and kind! Rooms were comfortable and the place is a nice 15min walk to the city.

The place is really nice and has a lot of potential. The stuff was really kind and helpful.

We got there pretty late, wanted to take a shower but there was no hot water 😔 the next day it was okay, but we got a little cold. The main door was closed during the night and we didn't know, got a little scared at first.

I have only one complaint and it's serious. Otherwise I loves the place.

shower is extremely weak , hardly any pressure no bath taps to compensate the bucket bath. So two days shower was super compromise.

the staff, the common areas and beautiful garden and location

room was terrible, full of ants actually the whole place is invaded with ants even common areas, the room was humid and a/c was not working, the staff did their best to help clean the room but they didn’t change our room to a better one they only proposed worse ones. It seems that the owners are not caring anymore about this property that why the latest reviews are all negative and if things don’t change things will only go worse, if you don’t want to invest that’s ok but the minimum is to provide a clean room with minimum human amneties

The hotel has an old world charm, replete with antique furniture and an old bookshelf...the breakfast was king-size and the location is absolutely picturesque.

Check in klappte gut, dass war es dann auch. Sehr hellhörig. Ich wollte abends noch etwas zu trinken kaufen gehen, aber wir wurden in der Unterkunft eingeschlossen und niemand war da. Am nächsten Morgen fragte ich dann ob ein Late Check Out möglich ist, ich würde es natürlich bezahlen. Ich fragte bei zwei Personen nach und beide sagten dass es kein Problem sei. Leider verstehen sie wohl nicht gut Englisch, als wir später zurück kamen, hieß es wir müssten raus, weil alle Zimmer belegt sind. Ich habe dann bei Booking noch eine Nacht gekauft, da verfügbar. Trotzdem wurden wir permanent gedrängt auszuchecken und für drei Stunden länger eine komplette weitere Nacht gezahlt und durften trotzdem nicht bleiben. Absolut unfreundlich. Als wir dann unser Taxi hatten hieß es plötzlich der Schlüssel fürs Zimmer wäre weg. Hatte ihn in der Tür stecken lassen. Nach hin und her hatte dann jemand vom Person den Schlüssel genommen. Im Zimmer waren viele Mosquitos und Ameisen. Ich kann es leider überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Die entäuschendste Unterkunft die wir bisher in Sri Lanka hatten
