Sublime vue sur le fjord et les montagnes. Accueil chaleureux et ambiance très conviviale. Espace commun très beau avec de grandes baies vitrées sur la nature magnifique 🤩. Tout ce qu’il faut pour se faire à manger et se délasser en contemplant la vue ou en papotant avec les autres invités

Tout était parfait! L’accueil de Brigitte était chaleureux. L’emplacement est incroyable avec des vues magnifiques dans toutes les pièces de la maison. La chambre familiale est spacieuse et les espaces communs étaient cosy et parfaits poir rencontrer des voyageurs. Petit déjeuner excellent avec les meilleurs pancakes! Merci Adrien 😉 Nous reviendrons c’est certain!

Excellent communication and very friendly welcome. Lots of love and care gone into decorating. Plenty of little extra touches such as European adaptors. And of course the everchanging view, rain or shine.

Brigitte and Adrien are very welcoming and friendly which makea all the difference.

Superb stay, one of the best experiences with scenic beauty where you can feel like a heavenly experience, very courteous host, very helpful and guides you with nearby spots and tips..lot of beautiful beaches and waterfalls nearby, thanks for making this stay a life time memory

We loved the friendliness and generosity of our hosts Brigitte and Adrien, the all round cleanliness and organisation of our accommodation, and the location. A bonus was the delicious home-baked Connemara scone for breakfast.

Amazing location and hospitality

Everything was great

Location and view of the water were absolutely magical. Host Brigitte was warm and wonderful. Her suggestions for sights and dining were perfect. Beds were very comfortable with individual mattress warmers (so cozy!). Hot showers, beautiful kitchen facilities with everything we needed. Just minutes to a sweet town with an excellent grocery store and fantastic restaurants.

L'hôtel de cet hébergement est très sympathique et serviable. La situation de ce gîte est vraiment exceptionnelle. Le petit déjeuner est parfait La salle commune est très agréable Elle a de nombreuses cartes topographiques de la région pour faire des promenades pédestres.

Notre chambre appelée "Smiley" n'avait la vue que sur le toit de la maison de notre hôte.. C'est un peu dommage.

Accueil et emplacement exceptionnels. Une adresse qu'on voudrait jalousement garder pour soi.

Posizione splendida , colazione ottima

The Lookout a été pour nous le plus beau, le plus paisible et le plus chaleureux des gites de notre voyage. A peine arrivés, nous avons immédiatement regretté de n'avoir réservé qu'une seule nuit ! La vue de toute les fenêtres de la maison est juste exceptionnelle. Nos enfants de 3 et 9 ans ont pour profiter du grand jardin et des petits chats. La cuisine et le salon partagés sont très cosy et invitent à se poser pour la soirée et papoter avec les autres voyageurs ou avec Brigitte, ou juste lire un livre, ou jouer un peu de guitare... Un petit déjeuner (fait maison et excellent) est compris. La propreté est irréprochable. Ardara est bien placé pour visiter le sud du Donegal ! On conseille donc cette étape les yeux fermés. Merci encore pour ce moment !

De ne pas être resté plus longtemps !

Je devrais vous dire de ne pas y aller. Je devrais vous dire que c’est le pire endroit sur Terre. Je devrais vous dire qu’il vaut mieux se casser une jambe, ou visiter un pays souffrant de la guerre. Je devrais vous dire tout cela pour garder ce joyaux caché, pour garder cet endroit secret. Je devrais vous dire tout cela pour espérer avoir une chambre pour mon prochain séjour, séjour qui passera forcément par là. Cela serait être égoïste et égocentré, tout l’inverse de ma personnalité et surtout de ce lieu. Je suis un Voyageur avant tout, je pense que peu de continents m’ont échappés, a part le grand tout blanc tout au Sud, mais peu d’endroit sur cette belle planète ne m’ont apporté autant de bien être. Ce lieu et les hôtes sont d’une beauté d’âme, ils resplendissent de bonheur et de bienveillance. Brigit est un puit sans fond sur l’Irlande même si elle n’y est pas née. Pour moi , backpackers devenant vieux, 45 ans, ce lieu est le parfait mix. Une cuisine, une pièce commune où échanger avec les Voyageurs de passage, tout en ayant une chambre pour soi. Mon séjour y a été comme un rêve éveillé. D’ailleurs je me demande si je dois y retourner tellement cela a été magique. Oublier la dernière partie, je suis sûr que mon prochain séjour sera tout aussi magique. Love, Philippe. • P.S. I should tell you it's better to break a leg or visit a war-torn country. I should tell you all this to keep this hidden gem, to keep this place a secret. I should tell you all this in the hope of getting a room for my next trip, a trip that will inevitably include a visit. That would be selfish and self-centered, the complete opposite of my personality and especially of this place. I am a traveler above all else.

Le look out is set in a beautiful scenery....just above the tidal sea....where the water comes in or goes out every six hours....offering a stunning view of the white sand spirals left by the water..... The house is warm and cosy and we can see the sea from the lounge thru big windows like screens... Brigitte is a very nice host and put a lot of work and love in this place. She really welcome us with her heart. Everything was clean and lovely. I highly recommend the lookout!

Nothing....there is no buses going there....but you get a lift easily from the people living around. If you have car it's also a nice base to visit the Donegal.

Although breakfast was not advertised we were given cereal, tea, coffee, bread, cheese, jam etc. and use of a well equipped kitchen

The view was stunning, and the thoughtful touches in both the room and common areas made it feel like home. The shared bathroom was spotless, breakfast was a lovely surprise, and the kitchen was well-maintained. Clear instructions and plenty of parking made everything easy.

I loved everything about this place. My room was comfortable but what makes this place special is the location. The views from the common living area are out of this world. I also loved having a kitchen so I could cook dinner. Breakfast was nice and the hosts are extremely warm and welcoming. Absolutely stay here!

The view over the water. The communal sitting space was inviting. The kitchen was well equipped for any traveler. The different rooms were tastefully decorated.

It was a very windy night the upstairs room was too noisy to sleep very well with the roof rattling. Breakfast wasn’t served till 9:00 and I needed to get on the road earlier so I didn’t have their breakfast to comment on. The parking in the back was tight to maneuver in.

The view is really magnificent. The hosts have added little touches here and there to make the stay more than "just okay". The shared bathroom was kept well cleaned. The breakfast was a lovely surprise.

It can get a bit noisy when all the rooms are occupied.

We zijn zeer enthousiast en vriendelijk ontvangen. Alles was prachtig en duidelijk georganiseerd in de hostel. Heel origineel. Fantastisch mooie omgeving. Heerlijke pannekoeken bij het ontbijt. 10/10 op alle vlakken.

Adrian and Brigitte were extremely helpful and welcoming, chatty, and prepared a healthy and varied breakfast. It was wonderful to have use of the kitchen at dinner time too. The house is in such a beautiful location, the views across the bay are stunning and the local beach was perfect for a morning dip. The beds were warm and comfortable and the room decor was excellent.

Unfortunately we could only stay for one night!

Un endroit formidable, la vue depuis le salon est extraordinaire et reposante. La maison est très bien équipée et l'accueil incroyable. C'est l'endroit le plus agréable où j'ai séjourné en Irlande.

Beautiful location close to lots of other beautiful places. I arrived in the dark and woke up to a gorgeous view of the water and mountains. Super clean with a relaxed welcoming cosy atmosphere. Staff were lovely and extra helpful with recommendations for the area.

La vue sur la baie est magnifique. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et prennent le temps de nous conseiller sur les choses à voir et à faire. Le petit déjeuner est tout simplement idéal (pain maison, yaourt maison, porridge maison, ...) Le lieu est calme et apaisant.

The very friendly host, as soon as she saw my two sons, both 2 meters tall, immediately changed the room where the children were supposed to stay for a more comfortable one, better suited for our “giants” (at no extra charge). The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished with everything you need. The views from the living room are stunning. We received plenty of great tips for the rest of our trip around the Donegal region.

Nel complesso credo sia stato il migliore B&B del ns viaggio on the road, molto accogliente, nulla è lasciato al, caso, bagno condiviso ma di fatti era a ns esclusivo utilizzo essendo solo a piano terra. Host super disponibili e molti carini, il vero valore aggiunto è la sala con due finestre che danno sul fiordo, meritava di farci almeno due notti e godere della vista e dello spazio con un buon the caldo in mano. Parcheggio dentro la struttura, servizio di lavanderia (a pagamento) molto utile, buona la colazione. Molto consigliato!

Every aspect was stunning ... the attention to detail was second to none ..The views spectacular.. value for money fabulous .. there was no areas that I could fault ...Brigitte and Adrien saw to our every need and beyond ❤️.. it was a holiday I will never forget .. and Adrien's pancakes added a special touch . 😋 Goodbye until next time !!

There beautiful property and hospitality have been a highlight of our trip.They have thought of everything every detail is exceptional. Adrian provided an amazing breakfast and Brigitte gave us kindness and support. This is an amazing find , would highly recommend .

Everything was perfect - clean, comfortable, arty & wonderfully organised. And the views were just stunning with magnificent picture windows & well placed seats to relax in & soak up the views. Beds so comfortable too. And breakfast definitely worth waiting for - we had considered leaving early but glad we didn’t 😊 Thank you to the hosts for providing a great experience.

Booked it for the price, but was pleasantly surprised by the AMAZING view! The owners were SO helpful and kind.

Comfort, peaceful location, with a great view, lovely helpful hosts, nice breakfast. I wish I had been able to stay longer. We were cold and damp when we arrived and were very quickly feeling human again after the welcome we received. Thanks for everything
