Reviewed Sep 18, 2026The hotel is superbly located right on the bank of the River Meuse, about 15 minutes walk from the railway station and 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Our greeting on arrival was warm and friendly and our luggage was taken to our room by the staff. The room was very large and scrupulously clean with a comfortable, large double bed. The wash basin was also located in the room and there was an en suite, walk in shower and toilet seperated by a large, glass sliding door. The view from our bedroom was spectacular, looking down on the river and the view from the bathroom window looked along the river bank towards the town. The hotel has only three rooms and no reception as such but the atmosphere is very relaxed with access to the rooms via a code on a key pad, as is access to the hotel itself for very late arrivals. Although the hotel does not serve breakfast, there is an excellent restaurant serving wonderful local dishes. Value for money is excellent, even taking into account the comments below.
I must stress that none of the following observations were a problem for us, as we'd done our research and read the small print but there are some aspects that people should be aware of. There is no lift, so acess to the rooms is by stairs only. There is no breakfast option but there are plenty of nearby cafes that serve breakfast to suit all tastes. The room has no hot-drink making facilities, although there is a communal room on the first floor that provides complimentary tea and coffee. Lastly, there is no air-conditioning but a tower fan is provided and both the bedroom and bathroom windows open fully for ventilation. None of the above is a criticism, just something to be aware of. Once again, excellent value for money!

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Tolle Lage mit Blick auf die Maas. Schöner Aufenthaltsraum. Gutes Essen und gute Getränkeauswahl in der Brasserie. Freundliches Personal. Möglichkeit zur Unterbringung der Fahrräder über Nacht nach Schliessung der Brasserie um 22 Uhr.
Fehlende Toilettenpapieraufhängung. Extra Fahrradraum wäre von Vorteil gewesen aber kein muss. Fehlendes Frühstücksangebot war kein Problem, da es genug Bäckereien in der Nähe gibt.

We wanted to eat there but missed the 8pm kitchen closing, shame as the food looked great. Free tea/coffee in shared lounge. Great view onto river. We parked our van on the road, free 6pm to 9am.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026My room was spacious (the bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom!) and the location terrific. The restaurant also was recommended for tasting local Dinant food and did not disappoint. The young folks running the front of house were so lovely and kind. We had a great stay!
The mattress was springy and my brother and sister and law complained that each time one of them rolled over the other would also be moved around.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Locatie is perfect, in het centrum van Dinant met prachtig uitzicht op de rivier de Maas en op loopafstand van station Dinant. Oud pension dat met liefde en aandacht is opgeknapt. Mijn kamer zat iets meer naar achteren en was daardoor lekker stil en koeler. Er is een gezamenlijke huiskamer met gratis koffie en thee, en met een koelkast met fris en bier wat je zelf betaalt door geld achter te laten in de kamer op basis van vertrouwen. Leuk dat dit kan! Beneden en op het terras ook prima eten! De kamer en badkamer zijn ruim, schoon en mooi ingericht. Binnenkomen met de code die je ontvangt werkt goed. Echt een perfecte locatie en aanrader!
Einde middag en avond was het erg warm binnen, maar buiten was het ook 33 graden. Zonwering in de gezamenlijke ruimte zou fijn zijn (ook voor de koelkast), de zon schijnt nu de hele dag recht naar binnen. Mogelijkheid voor een eenvoudig ontbijt zou fijn zijn, maar er zijn genoeg andere mogelijkheden vlakbij. Zou leuk zijn om de eigenaren even te ontmoeten, maar niet noodzakelijk natuurlijk.

Aufenthaltsraum für alle nutzbar, Tee. Kaffee zur freien Verfügung. Und unsere Fahrräder konnten abends im Bistro, gehört zur Unterkunft, sicher eingeschlossen werden.

Zimmer Einrichtung eher knapp, kleiner Tisch, kein TV, kein Klimagerät, offenes unverschlüsseltes Internet. Zimmertüre kann von innen nicht abgeschlossen werden. Ringhörig.

Uitzicht vanuit de kamer was recht op het rusthuis waar een oude man door de warmte in vol ornaat lag te slapen, snel gordijnen dicht gedaan. Geen airco op de kamer wat het deze week met 35-38 graden wel warm maakt snachts.

Fijn dat er een gemeenschappelijke ruimte is waar je koffie kan drinken etc. Jammer dat er geen ontbijt is, maar fijne bakker op 3 minuten. Le Cerf Vert is een lichtpuntje in Dinant, we vonden het plaatsje echt niet leuk met al dat verkeer…. Helaas konden we niet eten bij Le Cerf Vert want het restaurant was niet open op de avond van ons verblijf maar het schijnt erg goed te zijn.
Geen stromend water in gemeenschappelijke ruimte.

It was very warm when we were there but having the windows open and the fan running meant the room was a pleasant temperature. There's a communal lounge with complimentary tea and coffee which was a nice touch.

Fietsen konden na sluitingstijd binnen staan. Grote kamers en badkamers. Nog een aparte ruimte met uitzicht op de Maas op de 1ste etage voor gasten met thee/koffie en (tegen betaling) drankjes en hapjes.

There is a communal lounge with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge with drinks on an honesty basis. The restaurant served excellent food outdoors next to the river.

Reviewed May 8, 2026L'emplacement est top, l'accueil aussi , la journée dans la chambre du 1er étage on entend très fort les clients de la petite brasserie du rez de chaussée qui vont au WC mais heureusement ca ferme tôt, le logement est très propre et lit confortable, petit bémol pas de petit déjeuner et la cuisine proposée en journée est trop chère pour ce sue c'est un peu comme partout a Dinant

Reviewed May 4, 2026Het uitzicht vanuit de 'huiskamer' en vanaf de hotelkamer (die wij hadden geboekt) was super leuk vanwege het leven op de boulevard langs de Maas (La Meuse) bij prachtig weer. Mensen en bootjes kijken. De kamer is groot en eenvoudig maar prima ingericht. Zoals de foto's op de site. Wij aten op het terras 's avonds bij de accommodatie en het eten was prima (bistro). Wij parkeerden in 'de groene zone' naast het Casino aan de Maas. 10 minuutjes lopen. 0,75 cent per uur tussen 9.00-17.00h (daarna vrij). Dichterbij is duurder. Meerdere bakkertjes in de directe omgeving en ontbijten kon je in de huiskamer met uitzicht op het water. Wel even zelf halen dat broodje. Koffie en thee was gratis ter plekke.
Niets. Als ik toch iets moet noemen dan misschien meer informatie op de kamer of direct van de gastheer over waar je terecht kan voor eten en drinken buiten de accommodatie, restaurants, supermarkten, culturele dingen enz. Geen probleem om het zelf uit te vinden maar de start is dan wat sneller gemaakt.
