Amazing location in Kenmare, ideal for the ring of Kerry loop! Irma is a wonderful warm host, and so kind ! The room was cosy and spacious, the whole place feels like a home away from home ! And the breakfast is delicious!

We had an amazing stay at The Happy Pig. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the attention to detail really stood out, from the room to the little touches throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious and clearly made with care. A lovely place to stay, and one we would happily recommend.

The staff were fabulous, offered great advice for touring around town and were very friendly and accommodating.

The location was excellent, Irma & Claudia the hosts were so friendly and hospitable and the B&B was gorgeous!! Decor was brilliant. We would definitely come back and will recommend it to all. The coffee and banoffee pie on arrival was amazing.

Sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, clean soft linens, outstanding breakfast, perfect location… short walk to town, but just far enough that it was very quiet. Cozy reading room… we loved everything about it !!!

I loved just everything. I loved the room, how well equipped and designed it was and the attention to every detail that was placed in the whole hospitality experience. Irma and Claudia were superb hosts, with plenty of suggestions. Wonderful welcome tea. Food was amazing -I loved the potato cake. Handy position to Kenmare centre, a few minutes walk away. Car park very practical.

Très joli B&B situé en lisière du centre-ville, donc à la fois au calme et avec la possibilité de se rendre à pied dans les restaurants et boutiques de Kenmare. La chambre était très spacieuse, l'accueil charmant et le petit-déjeuner savoureux et adaptable aux régimes de chacun.

I've stayed in less impressive 5 star hotels than this art filled and interesting place. It's an inspiration - makes me want to go buy more art but I couldn't put it all together so well. Also the loveliest staff, amazing breakfast that also looked great, clean and comfortable. I had come on foot for 35km, and came down off the trail onto a footpath into Kenmare. And there the Happy Pig was - directly across that road! It was also possible to get a good dinner a few hundred meters away, so perfect for anyone hiking the Kerry Way.

Beef brisket and pork ribs to die for. Only complaint is menu with prices posted outside the restaurant was about six euros less than the prices on the menus inside.

Wonderful host, very nice room with a lovely view, easy parking, delicious breakfast! For dinner, we walked to recommended route to the historic center of Kenmare; this is a pleasant walk, 2/3 of which is on a beautiful path; a 15 or so minute walk but very pleasant and worthwhile.

Abgesehen von dem herzlichen Empfang und den tollen Reiseempfehlungen war das Frühstück, welches hausgemacht ist, hervorragend ! Die Zimmer - wie auch die gesamte Unterkunft - waren sehr sauber, in Optimalen Zustand und super schön eingerichtet. Wir würden jeder Zeit wieder kommen !

L’accueil et le délicieux petit déjeuner

My friend was celebrating her 80th birthday, and was given a very accessible, downstairs room. She loved it! She also loved Miss Pickles, the pup, since she was missing her own little one from home. What a great stay we both had at The Happy Pig!

It was all absolutely fabulous. I’m so glad we didn’t miss this place!

The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had...seriously! The hospitality was genuine, friendly and warm.

We were delighted with the location. Not too far to walk into town. Irma who owned the property was so welcoming as were the other staff. The cooked breakfast was really delicious with such a great selection.

Hosts were great, good communication prior to my arrival. Accommodated early check in and quick with responses to messages. Very kindly the host drove me to the wedding I was attending in the Kenmare Bay Hotel as it was raining, which I was very grateful for 😁

Very Freindly, make you feel at home

This was my sixth trip to Ireland, and I have to say, The Happy Pig is now my TOP favorite place to stay. It was so clean, comfortable, private, and charming. The owner has personality-plus and makes you feel welcome and cared for. My friend, who walks with a cane, was absolutely thrilled there was a downstairs bedroom available. My bedroom upstairs had a beautiful view. Miss Pickles, the pup, who made an appearance, was as sweet as could be. The sitting room was beautiful and we enjoyed chatting with some other guests and having tea with them. (I was feeling very spoiled!) However, nothing compares to the delectable breakfast that was provided. So many choices! So beautifully presented! I will dream about the banana walnut muffins and the French toast. Thank you, Irma, for a wonderful stay! I hope Kenmare knows what a gem they have in their midst! Can’t wait to get back someday!

Situated on a busy road so rooms at the front could be a bit noisy.

Nice B&B in a great location. Kenmare is a lovely little town and is just a 10 minute walk so you can easily pop out for food and a Guiness! Good secure parking for my bike and a nice spacious room. Breakfast was excellent and were the hosts. Really nice stay. I was only there one night but you could easily use this place as a base and explore the surrounding areas.

After our stay in a couple of larger hotels this was such a revelation. The owners really cared about our experience. The room was well set out and the decor was lovely. The bed was comfy and the shower powerful. Best of all was the breakfast, lots of choices including home made bread and omelettes. The owners also made great suggestions about restaurants and bars in town as well as where to go in the Beara peninsula. Would stay there again as it is a nice town which is very handy for the Beara peninsula, Killarney and the Dingle Peninsula.

Great location for Ring of Kerry and Kenmare. Maria was a sweetheart. Breakfast was great!

Our room was very hot. Granted the temperatures were higher than normal while we were there. No A/C was on and maybe wasn’t available but other places we stayed at least had a fan available. Just makes it hard to sleep when it’s hot and we had the windows wide open all night.

Everything was lovely. Our room was nice, and the breakfast was fabulous.

The only thing was having the dog pickles beg for food at our breakfast. We are dog people and love animals but having the dog sitting at your side with big sad eyes looking for more pieces of bacon was a bit uncomfortable. We have dogs and they are trained not to beg while we eat.

Breakfast was delicious, Irma and her team did a great job. They were helpful in suggesting which sites to see in the area, gave us recommendations for dinner and music in the area. Couldn’t ask for more.

The Happy Pig excelled at every level, from the location and cleanliness of the home to the top-notch service from the hosts. Breakfast was better than most restaurants. Rooms were phenomenal.

The only thing that could have been better was if we could have stayed longer!

Das Haus ist so liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, dass wir uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt haben. Alles ist perfekt sauber und gepflegt. Irma hat uns mit großem Herzen willkommen geheißen und das Frühstück war einfach großartig. Unser Auto konnten wir problemlos auf dem eigenen Parkplatz abstellen. Wir kommen gerne wieder, dann auch etwas länger.
