The bathtub was just perfect for me and the SHEETS are diving! Breakfast was also above expectations.
Location, interiors and staff
Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable
Great location and very comfortable
No air conditioning and limited places to put anything in bathroom
Location and great staff
Roma getting a little tired bathrooms need updating
I liked that the hotel was so central. I could leave the hotel and stroll down town to nice shops and boutiques. Nice lobby to relax in and read the paper.
I cannot think of anything I didn't like.
The room was small, dingy and stuffy. We did not sleep well which is, after all, the purpose of staying.
Beautiful historic building at the top of Main Street
Stairs to get luggage up to our room were a struggle as we had 2 large suitcases.
Well-equipped, and comfortable. Good location.
The location was fantastic. There were great shops and restaurants all around us. Beautiful parks and castles.
Our room was horribly hot. The rest of the hotel was fine. The walkways the lobbies it was cool outside. I have no idea why our room is so hot.
Friendly staff.Clean.Great location.
Central location and lovely towels and bedding
The hotel advertises free car parking. When we arrived it was full so they can’t guarantee a space. However the guy that met us was very helpful finding us street parking nearby. We think it should be advertised as limited car parking spaces. As this was the very reason we had booked the Landsdowne.
Hotel is so central its great. Had a late breakfast in the outdoor seating which was gorgeous.
We had room No. 300 which was lovely but noisy as we were so near the fire door and the corridor is very creaky.
Exceptional service. Room was very well appointed
Extremely helpful, professional and friendly staff, very comfortable furnishings, great location in the centre of town, good food and drink
location is brilliant -in town .staff were great .
-ireland is experiencing a heat wave but without air-conditioning sleeping was a real challenge in these rooms.
Not much
Over priced, extremely hot room, even the corridor was cooler, missing fan remote, small bathroom, restaurant was closed, breakfast not included which it should be for the price paid.
Location is excellent loved the fact you can walk to all the lovely restaurants and bars . Shop in the boutiques and drop the shopping back to the hotel. It was also a great location to use as a base for sightseeing.
The loo flush was insufficient we mentioned this to hotel reception and although the room was very comfortable there was no view to the outside apart from an alley. Furthermore the room was dark it wasn’t easy to do one’s make up or hair! Loved the ceiling fan though.
Location
No air conditioning
Staff, location, rooms and breakfast were all excellent. Will definitely be back.
Location and staff
Room initially poor and noisy but changed easily to another without any difficulty
Location is great Room very clean & stylish
Bathroom light not great over mirror in bathroom Slope on floor downwards on entrance to room , slight incline into bathroom Shower was in bath , bit dated
Well appointed. Great location. Nice bar and restaurant on site.
All good.
The property was good. Restaurant not open when we stayed but good local restaurants
No lift so be prepared to carry bags up the stairs. Breakfast was slow
Location
Did not get the room booked, the room was so hot even with the ceiling fan up high could not sleep with heat. Not able to let window open because on ground floor back on to car park.
Overall hotel
Everything
Beautiful rooms, very comfy beds. Large soaking tub. Beautiful hotel, decor was lovely. Loved the breakfast. Loved Kenmare. Staff was so friendly & helpful!
Nothing
Beautiful decor. Luxurious rooms. Comfortable bed & bath. Delicious dining. Young man at reception was so kind & helpful! Kenmare is a dream.
Nothing. Will return.
Location was great, easy walk to numerous pubs and restaurants, hotel meeting areas were very nice, staff was excellent
Rooms were extremely hot, faucet and water didn’t work well, no iron/ironing board in room as indicated on website, stairs to rooms on first floor made luggage difficult to get to room without assistance.
Location was excellent
Bathroom very old/outdated
Wonderfully welcoming staff, super clean room, comfortable bed, great location.
Wish the breakfast area opened a half an hour earlier.
Beds comfy room clean
Staff not friendly food not greatc
Lovely ambience great location and super owners & staff
Nothing at all
Lovely welcome, nice upgrade, conveniently located. Great breakfast
This historic and welcoming hotel in a perfect location. Close to everything. We walked everywhere and did not need a car in town. We walked to the bay. The beds are so comfy with great pillows and cozy bedding. The rooms are well appointed and elegant. The rooms are quite clean and comfortable. You get complimentary tea and coffee when you arrive. Lots of different places to hang out in the hotel. The Poets Bar. The lobby by by the fire place and lots of other nooks and crannies to sit in. The hotel is quiet and peaceful at night time. The staff are wonderful and helpful. We requested a fan and they put one in our room before we got here. All of our needs were met. This is in our top 5 hotels we have ever visted. The restaurant is beautiful. They make make great drinks.
We were here Easter week and the 2 restaurants were quite busy at times from folks coming to eat. Maybe it always busy at meal times.. So it would get crowded during meal times and people would block the stairs to the rooms and over take the hotel some. I did not enjoy this part. It is not a very big hotel and only has 28 rooms.
Nice and comfortable room
Decor in bar etc very nice.
Very noisy children running around upstairs late at night and early morning. Could not sleep due to noise. Reception staff indifferent.
We had a lovely weekend in Kenmare last weekend as a family of 19. The Landsdowne was so lovely from the big open fireplace and tasteful Christmas decorations as you walk into the lobby on a cold wintry night. We had a lovely meal in the hotel yet again by a lovely open fire. Breakfast is so lovely we all came & went to the large wooden table that felt like a big family table. The food was great the warm granola is divine. Big thank you to all the staff that looked at us so well Eve, Stacey, Eve B, Ethen, Jerry and Eve L.
We were so impressed with the services, your warm and welcoming hospitality today that we just want to say A BIG THANK YOU!🙏️ A very pleasant experience!
We had a really lovely stay at the Landsdown. From check in to check out everything was first class. A beautiful hotel ,where the owners have thought of everything for a really comfortable stay. Everyone is super friendly and the Christmas decor added to the charm.
Everything. From check-in to check out, we had a great experience. Rooms were really nice with everything we needed. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly, and we felt so welcome. Will definitely return .
What a wonderful night we had in Landsdowne Kenmare last night. A group of friends and I had Thanksgiving Dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere and ambience was cozy and inviting, with gentle live music in the background. The food was simply delicious, so tasty, great size portions and presented beautifully. The service was amazing, all waiters were so friendly and more than helpful. We cannot wait to have another occasion to return to have dinner again. Thank you to all your staff for a wonderful night.
Historisches Haus, grosses Zimmer und Badezimmer, gutes Essen in der gemütlichen Bar.
Das Frühstück
Very comfortable room. Super friendly staff, including the owners. Great location to get to everything in Kenmare. Some nights have live music in the lobby. The hotel gave the impression of a real community space.
The hotel car park is a tight squeeze. The bar was not open as many hours as I would have expected, but this could have something to do with it being the off-season.
Skip Killarney and stay here in Kenmare instead! Truly a great Kenmare experience. The rooms are very modern and spacious with large oversized windows and high ceilings. The owner, Patrick, really makes you feel at home in his wonderful boutique hotel. Don’t skip out on this property as it’s truly the best address in Kenmare. Patrick was so kind and outlined fantastic spots for us to see around the ring of Kerry and in downtown Kenmare. The staff are truly dedicated to their passion in hospitality and treat guests with so much respect and warmth. Don’t skip on their Beetroot Hummus Egg dish for breakfast!! Thank you for an amazing stay!
Our home away from home in Ireland/Kenmare. Excellent location, excellent food in the bar and restaurant and best of all, amazing staff. The hotel is charming and welcoming and staff go out of their way to provide assistance as needed. Close to all the restaurants, pubs, stores and short drive to many site seeing opportunities in this part of Ireland (Rings of Kerry and Beara, north to Killarney, south east to Cork).
Bed could have been a wee bit softer but we notice that most beds where we stay in Ireland tend towards the firm side!
Great location, beautiful hotel, lovely room, great bar.
Lovely rooms, hotel was nice and clean only downside was the heat in the room. Unbelievably hot but probably my own fault I couldn’t see anywhere to turn it down or off. Went for breakfast the next morning and it was a continental that was included in our price not my thing so we just left. I would recommend. Very friendly in reception.
Myself and my Wife stayed recently We originally booked for 2 nights but we're enjoying ourselves so much that we decided to book a 3rd night. It's good value for money. The Staff are all very polite and helpful. The Food is excellent. The room was very clean, large and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located next to many great bars and restaurants. We will be back. Thank you for a very pleasant time.
We stopped in for a drink as we were dining nearby. Wouldn't bother going back. Service poor and it took a long time to get a drink even though the bar was not busy. A pint and a glass of rosè- almost €20. Plenty better options around.
The Front Desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious.
A beautiful place. At one end of town, and a quick stroll along the high street. A beautiful walk around
Perfect location for starting and ending The Ring of Kerry.
This was our 3rd time staying here. Last time was in 2022. The prices have gone up, breakfast is not included and the breakfast was not very good. The 3 of us ordered different items and we all were disappointed. Not sure what happened. Quality seems to be slipping. Our other morning we went somewhere else for breakfast. Staff is excellent!
Location central to restaurants, shops,etc
Nothing
Amazing staff. Decor in hotel is very stylish except for bedrooms. Although they were comfortable, the record was very bland and lacked luxury. For that reason, I would not return. Breakfast to the room was amazing . Again, the staff are real stars of the show. A beautiful Kerry welcome.
Convenient to all shops and restaurants, very well maintained, and a beautiful bar.
The coffee maker was hard to use due to very little light in the area where it was located.
Great rooms and overall staff was very good.
Having difficulty finding a taxi, we called into hotel and asked Eve at reception for help. Despite the fact we were not residents, she went to great trouble calling several companies. Such obliging service. A great advertisement for the hotel’s standards.
This hotel is a gem. The rooms are beautiful and the location is perfect. Easy to park on-site, or nearby. The bed and pillows are top notch and luxurious. The hotel amenities (restaurant, bars, cafe) are high quality and serve delicious food. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We are very glad we chose to stay here and definitely recommend it.
I thought this hotel was perfectly placed in Kenmare. It is a very nice and cozy property with very firendly and helpful staff. They reached out to me ahead of time to ask if I needed a dining reservation and procured a table at the best place in town.
Great location, beautiful welcoming spaces to gather around the lobby and cool bar spaces. Staff was so pleasant and helpful. Our room was a king and was coconut to move about freely. Bed was comfortable. Large bathroom, no plugs, no hot was at the sink one evening. Our room was too warm so we slept with the windows open and it was a peaceful sleep with no noise from town. Breakfast was fine in the morning. I would recommend this as a great place to stay in Kenmare.
The hotel is elegant, well staffed. and the staff are very helpful. The rooms were clean the food delicious and I loved the modern decor.
location was great -
all good
