Davitts Guesthouse

The Hotel / Restaurant is right in the centre of the town. We did manage to get parked just 50m from the property. Luckily it was a Sunday afternoon, apparently free street parking at the weekend, then on the Monday & all weekdays, from 9.00am - 6.00pm its free for 2 hours. Which fitted well for our 1 night stay. Good check in with the staff, the room was clean and tidy. We spent late afternoon wandering and deciding where to eat for the evening. In the end we decided to book Davitts restaurant for the meal. We weren't disappointed the meal, service and ambience was great. So dinner bed and breakfast in one place ! So that might help you in your selection. Probably the best value on our 9 day road trip !

Town centre

The room was HUGE, with both a single and double bed. Bathroom (with a bathtub!) was large and everything was very clean. The location was great, situated in the middle of the shopping/restaurant zone. Originally we had to park about a block away, but as the evening approached we were able to move the car to right in front of hotel.

There really wasn't a reception area - we just spoke to the guys working in the pub downstairs. Also, stairs were a drag, but we came to find out, it was typical to have rooms a couple of floors up (no elevators in B&Bs). Pros clearly outweighed the cons at this delightful 'inn'.

David, the host, was very person able making sure we had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was much grander than expected.

Had such a lovely stay at Davitts - everyone I met was incredibly kind and helpful and warm, and the accommodation itself was comfortable and spacious and had everything I needed. If I come back to Kenmare I will definitely stay here again

The room was very comfortable and quiet. Great shower. Amazing selection for breakfast. Friendly staff.

2 things that can be easily remedied for future guests - No tea and coffee in room. Whilst it could be requested they didn’t supply it for over 2 hours. They cleared away the main breakfast table before we had finished our cooked breakfast so we were unable to take full benefit of the great selection of food.

Host David was very friendly and helpful. Great communication to check in. Very comfortable room. Fantastic location.

Davitts Guesthouse is very central to every thing we needed. It was a spacious room with all the amenities we needed. It was clean and modern and also included a delicious breakfast!

Davitt’s Guesthouse is located in the heart of Kenmare with all the entertainment and dining options on the doorstep. It is well maintained property with clean and comfortable rooms.

Had an amazing stay at Davitts in Kenmare. Location is absolutely perfect, the rooms were bright and spacious, staff were brilliant and to top it off the restaurant food was 10/10. Will be back.

Durch Gardinen war das Zimmer ziemlich dunkel. Wir hätten die Fenster gern weiter geöffnet.

The breakfast was excellent ... great menu and choice and the restaurant staff were excellent friendly and efficient. The Room was spacious and clean and a very comfortable bed.

Obviously the location on the main street I was aware of the parking situation : but I managed to get parking across the road via an alleyway to a car parking area .

It was a noisy until 10.30/11.00 pm.

Struttura molto confortevole, con personale gentilissimo, disponibile e sempre attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Le camere sono ampie, pulite e ben curate. Molto buona anche la colazione, con un piccolo buffet e la possibilità di scegliere un piatto principale alla carta. La struttura non dispone di parcheggio privato, ma è comunque molto facile trovare parcheggio in strada nelle vicinanze. Nel complesso, un soggiorno davvero piacevole e una struttura assolutamente consigliata!

Emplacement parfait au centre de Kenmare, chambre très spacieuse et confortable, et un accueil et une gentillesse vraiment remarquables, David et son équipe ont été aux petits soins pour nous et nos vélos, avec beaucoup d'attention à communiquer en avance. Malheureusement le restaurant était fermé le soir, mais le petit déjeuner était exceptionnel !

Die Lage des Hotels war super. Die Zimmer waren groß und das Personal freundlich. Das Frühstück bot eine gute Auswahl.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 2.OG. Es hat im Flur und in unserem Zimmer sehr stark nach Friteusenfett gerochen. Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen. Die Dachfenster ließen sich auch nur schließen, wenn man dazu aufs Bett oder einen Stuhl gestanden ist. Die Werbefotos der Zimmer entsprachen wirklich nicht der Realität.

Squeaky floor boards on hallway which woke us up. The breakfast finish time is unacceptable, Kitchen cleaned down with no hot breakfast available at 9.45 . Way too early for a tourist location.

Staff were very helpful to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible., like immediately bringing additional fans as it was very warm in the room.

Window in room 12 is a Velux at ceiling level which makes room seem dark.

Breakfast was excellent with lots of fruit and interesting cooked options. In the heart of Kenmare. Dinner outside was excellent.

Bathroom was a little cramped. On-site parking seemed to be limited to two spaces, but we found on-street parking.

The woman who checked us in was not friendly at all. It was quite off-putting and meant we went elsewhere to eat and drink.

Parking not easy to find. We managed to find a two-hour space (free from 6pm-9am) a bit away from the hotel, crossing our fingers we wouldn’t be fined because we arrived at 3pm, and we weren’t.
