Reviewed Sep 19, 2026The staff at the bar was absolutely outstanding. The convenience of being able to store our luggage after our checkout time was fantastic. The advice received about attending a hurling match turned out to be a highlight of our trip to Kilkenny.
The property itself was a little dated, but I do need to add that the bathroom was updated and appreciated. Our room had no view, and both windows simply looked into a window well.

was charged for 2 rooms for myself, mother and daughter. Lead to believe the twin room had 2 single beds when in fact it was a king and single. The other room was a double. All beds were extremely hard. Floors creaked badly and I could hear the host in the halls all morning chatting with early leavers.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Remek kis szálloda, borzasztó kedves személyzet. Bár majdnem a kocsma fölött van, semmi zaj, pedig tartottam tőle. Az állomás és a buszmegálló 30 méterre, a belváros 5 perc sétára van. Nem tipikusan szállodai szoba (szerencsére), és 1 éjszakára tökéletes volt.
Sajnos a fürdőszobai kilincs nagyon nyikorog, ez éjszaka zavaró.

Very little interaction with hosts outside of showing us the room and handing us the keys…which is fine but comes with no recommendations. The live pub music was great until it played through to 1.30am on a Sunday night/Monday morning…a bit much after travelling for 28hrs. The next night, perfectly quiet.

Considering that we arrived during a heat wave, the cooling and ventilation in the room was poor. This was the only thing that I could fault about the accommodation.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026La struttura è ricavata in una casa tipica del centro storico, una di quelli bellissime case colorate, sorge proprio nella via piena di ristoranti e caratteristici pub oltre che a essere vicinissima al castello e al cuore del centro storico. Camere veramente accoglienti e soprattutto pulite e riordinare con cura dal personale. Ringrazio il JBs bar perché ha contribuito a rendere indimenticabili due giorni a Kilkenny. Spero un giorno di poterci ritornare.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026Jedan od boljih apartmana u Irskoj u kojem smo bili. Nudi sve, od fena i TVa do prostranosti, čistoće i udobnosti. Praktički je u samom centru, pa je mali problem s parkingom. No ostavili smo auto u shopping centru preko noći, pa iznos nije bio veliki. Posebno mi se sviđalo to što je odjava do 12.00, pa taj dan ako negdje putujete, još ujutro možete nešto obaviti i stignete se vratiti u sobu prije polaska.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Ein schönes, sauberes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Guesthouse. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, reagierte schnell auf unsere Nachrichten und bot an, unser Gepäck aufzubewahren, falls das Zimmer noch nicht fertig sein sollte. Umso mehr haben wir uns gefreut, dass wir unser Zimmer sogar schon vor der offiziellen Check-in-Zeit beziehen konnten.
Das Zimmer war etwas stickig und die Sicht ging auf den dunklen und schmutzigen kleinen Innenhof/das Dach. Außerdem ging dort eine Lüftungsanlage hinaus, die nachts leider fast durchgehend deutlich hörbar war. Die Halterung der Duschbrause war sehr hoch angebracht und für kleinere Personen kaum erreichbar. Einen Aufzug gibt es nicht. Da wir kein schweres Gepäck hatten, war das für uns kein Problem, mit größeren und schwereren Koffern könnte es jedoch etwas mühsam sein. Das WLAN funktionierte darüber hinaus leider nicht zuverlässig: Mit einem iPhone ließ es sich gar nicht verbinden und auf einem Samsung-Gerät bracht die Verbindung immer wieder ab.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026The location was fantastic, ideal as it was minutes walk from the train station. Close proximity to a wedding we were attending at Kilkenny Castle and the reception nearby. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room/bathroom was clean. Asked if we could get an iron in our room and there was no issue, was there on arrival, along with an ironing board and fan.
What I can only assume was the front door of the building being slammed whenever anyone went through it! It actually rattled through our bedroom wall and headboard. TV could do with updating.
