No bathmat, nowhere to hang wer towels, dark room one tiny window, no shower caps and towels were tiny. Room had a plug in heater, bathroom was cold.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Wir haben ultrakurzfristig gebucht und ein großes Zimmer bekommen. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und ein kostenloser Parkplatz in der Nähe kam uns sehr gelegen. Fußläufig sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten und Pubs gut machbar.
Im Bad roch es modrig und die Badezimmerlüftung war sehr laut und lief sehr lange.

No breakfast. The price paid didn’t reflect the room. The room could have been cleaned a lot better. Counter tops were sticky and dusty.

We could hear people from the room above. The espresso machine wasnt working so well. Not much storage space in the room for two people.

J'ai réservé en fonction des commentaires et des prestations. Pas de petit-déjeuners disponibles si non réservés en même temps que la chambre ce qui n'était pas précisé. Mon expérience ne correspond pas du tout aux commentaires laissés. Nous avions la chambre 114, la salle de bain était très petite et la douche mal nettoyée. La chambre c'est vrai était bien décorée dans le style irlandais, mais il faut absolument changer les matelas, nous avons très mal dormi tous les 4 avec les ressorts qui ressortent et des matelas creux. Et la fenêtre qui ne ferme pas correctement. Pour le prix, aucun service : pas de petit-déjeuners, pas de restaurant, pas de parking, pas de sèche-cheveux, on a entendu la télé du voisin toute la nuit. J'ai payé moins cher 2 nuis à Dublin dans un 4* .

Apart ça, tout étais comme prévu.

Wir haben Frühstück gebucht, aber bei der Ankunft sagte man uns, dass die Küche renoviert wird. Das war ärgerlich. Der Parkplatz vom Hotel ist schwer zu finden. Eine genauere Angabe würde helfen.

The reception area was gruesome - I felt ill when I saw it on booking in. In fairness, apparently they are renovating/refurbishing and our room seemed to be newly done so it may have been one of the better ones - we thought we had booked breakfast but they don’t do breakfast or any food!

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Book this hotel for my wife who is not very well with her breeding a smell of damp and a smell of smoke out of the room not even cleaned or the beds made not the same as the pictures advertise my wife went there and called me she would not stay in. It looks like it’s been used as a brothel called Booking.com to cancel. They wanted to charge me £95. This was two days ago still never called me back. Spoke to the guy in the hotel he said he would inform Booking.com £160 for nothing. My wife did not even stay very bad service from the Hotel and Booking.com will not be using the service again. It’s false representation avoid this Hotel at all costs and Booking.com customer service scammed me for £160.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Our host Hazel was wonderful. Our accommodation was quite spacious and a fan was provided which really helped at night with the hot weather. The accommodation has free parking nearby and is in a great location and only a short walk to the Kilkenny town centre, pubs and restaurants. The accommodation has its own pub which was very nice.
The Guest House doesn’t have a lift which was not an issue for us but I think it should be advertised as many of the rooms are upstairs and aside from Hazel and the night manager there is no one to provide assistance if needed.

Het was erg benauwd op de kamer en geen airco of ventilator. Dus moest het raam open met als gevolg veel geluidsoverlast van de straat. Ook het gebouw zelf was erg gehorig. Het geheel was zeer gedateerd.
