The guys in hotel are very kind. They helped us when it needed. If we ask, room was cleaned. About the island: Maafushi is a development area, lots of new hotels are being built now. Everywhere are constructions, noise associated with it. Maafushi View is one of the oldest hotel in Maafushi, so don't expect a modern, well-equipped accomodation, rather a charming, rustic, Indian cottage. There are good bed, very simple, but usable bathroom, little refrigerator, that's all and it is enough for a good holiday. Shop - 5 meters from the hotel. Restaurant 50 meters. Hospital 100 meters. ATM 100 meters (don't use it, use USD cash)

This hotel is not for snob people with great expectations! It is grandma's cottage in a in a dusty street with friendly garden! Don't come here, if you can't adapt to it! Some of the rooms there aren't window, but has garden access. Some noises during daytime. Bikini beach relatively far from the hotel (6-8 minutes walk)

The rooms are way below average... There is strong odour in the rooms...it is a GUESTHOUSE. The BATHROOMS is a nightmare In the same price u get the best hotels like ARENA and KAANI, The food is way below basic and u get very limited choices to choose from. The location is not that good as the beach to chill is on the opposite side. Overall the most horrible experience and stay. Please don't waste ur money on this

Upon arrival, we encountered several severe issues that made the accommodation uninhabitable, including a bed bug infestation, mold, and significant structural neglect, such as cracked walls, peeling paint, and a pervasive unpleasant odor. These conditions posed serious health risks, and as a result, we left the hotel immediately without staying a single night. We promptly reported the issues to the you and were initially assured that a full refund would be processed. As you have already received the full payment for our booking, we kindly request a refund of $534 This amount includes both the accommodation and food charges. We ask that $500 be transferred to our account promptly. The conditions at Maafushi View Hotel were grossly misrepresented, and under consumer protection laws, services provided must meet the agreed standards. Booking.com’s terms also support that if an accommodation is uninhabitable or inconsistent with the reservation, guests are entitled to a full refund. Given these circumstances, we trust you will take immediate action to address our request. If this matter is not resolved promptly, we will be forced to escalate the issue to the relevant consumer protection authorities and may consider initiating a chargeback through our credit card provider. We had a full board package. The food was good. We enjoyed the pasta, the grid fish and the fried rice & noodles. Need to make an order two hours before food, then they prepare it with what is available in the market for the day. Girll fish may not be a available every day.

The facilities were a bit basic. The water stopped for half day on our arrival, and the dining area was popular with mosquitos. The shef was nice to us. The staffs were nice, a bit less than warm.

Guy that was cooking was very pleasant and nice. One of the cheapst options on the island. Rooms were decent for the price and comfortable. Nothing fancy and bit outdated, but ofcourse that was expected.

Half of the place was getting demolished. I arrived and rooms behind the wall were standing and when departing, totally gone. Constant banging, even in middle of the night and they started early each day except for Friday. I understand that the whole island is getting construction work, but this was right by my window and owned by hotel. Banging was sooo loud as walls/roofs were being totally knocked down. No apologies from staff when I mentioned it. It was a nightmare and not a relaxing vacation. I should of been warned or at least asked for understanding and any kind of apology for inconvenience of not sleeping.

The only good thing about this accommodation was that the receptionist was nice.

The room was terrible. The walls were dirty, there was an extreme smell in the bathroom, shower wasn’t nice at all, everything was molded, a lot of noise from the outside, the doors didn’t seal properly. There was a cat poop on the patio and nobody cleaned that. We had to rebook into another hotel after 1 night, as staying in this one would be horrible. We totaly recommend avoiding this accommodation. We didn’t even get a refund!

The breakfast was good and hot and the service provided was professional. The management of the property was friendly.

The bathroom supplies were poor and the exhaust was not properly working. The bathroom had some odor.

As a small group of three, we had one room and one bathroom for us. The room was clean and air conditioned. The host (Malin) was exceptionally able, professional and most certainly friendly. Malin picked us up at the port in Maafushi even though it was late at night (we had a delay) so he can also be spontaneous. If we had any problems he would’ve helped us.He always knocked on the door and asked if we wanted to eat breakfast/lunch/dinner. The food was always freshly made and healthy. We’ve had no digestive problems at all.

I’d rather say imperfections: 1. Shower right next to the toilet: toilet gets wet after showering 2. Thin walls 3. The mini fridge in the room doesn’t work (or we were to stupid for it)

The only thing I liked was leaving this accommodation. Trust me there are only negative experiences here - but a lot of those. Avoid this guesthouse.

- dirty room, bed sheets, pillows with stains, and dirt marks on them - room walls wet with mold, smells sick in the room, so they use strong insence (very bad) but you still smell the mold - bed bugs in the bed and around the bed that come at night to suck our blood. So in the morning (every morning) I had bites on my neck, shoulder, legs, back. I upload photos I took in the room of the bedbugs in the room. Not only do these bedbugs bite you but they easily get into your clothes and luggage seemlessly travel with you back home and reproduce back at your home. And it’s pretty hard to kill them off your place once they settle in. - the water (shower, bathroom) stinks. And no..not on the entire island does it stink, no. I stayed after this accommodation the next days in another accommodation and in my one - the water did not stink at all! But at this accommodation the water stinks very much, it’s very unpleasant. - Could not sleep well because of bug bites, loud construction next door, not isolating walls - Bed is uncomfortable the cheapest mattress and old and dirty. - Breakfast awful. One plate of something (the cheapest kind of bread slices and the cheapest jam and the cheapest sausage and that’s all you get) and the cheapest orange juice and the cheapest worst instant coffee. Avoid this breakfast. No buffet, just you get one plate of almost non-edible food and instant black coffee (they do not even have or give milk - although I did ask for it. They don’t have.) - Dinner awful. No buffet, just you get one plate of almost non-edible food and the cheapest orange juice without no fruit content but sugar. (they do not provide soup, dessert nothing) - Tables dirty and sticky as well as the chairs in the dining room. Of course no AC. - From the dining room (where you get the breakfast and dinner) you see the “kitchen” a disgusting tragedy. Water flooding and dripping in the kitchen roof and one fully unhygienic boy making the food and serving you at the same time.

There were two breakfast options - Western and Maldivian. Overall, the breakfast quality was very good and it was available from 7am through 9:30am. The coffee was Nescafe, but there were a lot of places around the island to get an americano.

The wifi was not very fast, which is understandable, considering it is an island. It was also smelling a bit from the toilet, but not significantly and I also think it is related to the plumbing situation in an island. To be clear, the pressure in the shower and in the toilet was very good.

Cant expect more with the rate paid

Toilet sewerage system not worked properly. When flushed, complete sewage backflowed into the toilet.

"cheap" (considering the other rip-offs on the island), owner booked the speedboat for us (though then he was trying to overcharge us for it claiming an "island rate" 😂)

This is an amazing budget hotel, we were blown away by how good it was for the price. The rooms had everything we needed with towels, beach towels and soap etc. We went full board and the food was really good with different lunch/dinner each day. The location is excellent and it is walking distance from everything we needed. The highlight for us were the staff, they couldn’t do enough for you. Thank you so much to the owner Abdul who was amazing our full stay, helping us with excursions and anything we needed. Definitely recommend this property to anyone and we would love to come back at some point!

Location, budget, it basically has everything and even a fridge in the room. Good for backpacking.

I think it’s the common issue in the island, the shower water is smelling and the ants. We can’t expecting too much for cheap accommodation though.

unfortunately we have more bad things to say than good. started off by being told incorrect directions from the host, costing us $10 in transfers which they wouldn’t refund. Breakfast was awful, little to no choice/options. The worst of it all was the constant smell from the drains in the bathroom. Was unbearable and had to keep the door closed. I understand it’s ‘the Maldives’ but this place is not worth the money, fork out a little more and get better accommodation. Couldn’t wait to leave.

The staff is really helpful and friendly. We had a crisis with a last minute excursion cancellation and they found quickly the solution. Room is clean and has all the necessary items (towels, soap, warm water). Breakfast is simple but good and enough.

Everything was perfect. Of course is not a luxury hotel, but the price you pay is not for luxury! It is modest, clean and nice.
