The breakfast was very nice and it is a good location. I also enjoyed the tea room. A nice place to rest, as the room was quite small. 

We had a horrible view, and there was construction below us. Also, the water pressure was bleak. Although the water was hot.

The bed was very uncomfortable and too small. The doona was too small. The shower was very small and hard to get into. Limited street parking. Little things like we were told the menu for the restaurant in the hotel next door was in the room but the information folder in the room said it was downstairs. Booking.com had onsite parking as a facility which was incorrect as there is only street parking.

A great place to stay, peaceful and comfortable. Staff were friendly, location was excellent, parking outside the door, and the breakfast was hot and tasty. Highly recommended.

On our tour of Ireland, we’re stopping off in Westport for one night. We’ve chosen Clooneen House. We’ve booked a double room with breakfast from 3 to 4 September 26 for one night. Positives The location is very good. It’s relatively central, a 5-minute walk from the town centre. The staff are friendly and helpful

Negatives Only an Irish breakfast is available; otherwise, there’s almost nothing else. The coffee is very poor. The photos on Booking.com do not reflect reality. The rooms are very outdated, small and not really clean. Not recommended

On arrival the staff on duty opened a side gat so we could park our motorbike in a secure rear yard, Room was comfortable but a bit old fashioned but was clean. Breakfast was very good. Location was a short 5 to 10 minute walk to Westport.

Full Irish breakfast was superb, from the cereals to the main event.

No staff around if you had a problem. Had to wait for breakfast. Sausages were awful. Not a great choice for breakfast.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr vorteilhaft, da alles Wesentliche fußläufig zu erreichen ist. Die Fassade des Hauses ist einladend und weckte bei mir/uns Erwartungen, die in keiner Weise erfüllt wurden.

Der Empfang war ausgesprochen unfreundlich und das kann ich sagen, da ich oft in Irland unterwegs bin. Im Eingangsbereich waren ein Aquarium und ein Vogelkäfig, deren Tiere einen erbärmlichen Eindruck machten. In unserem Badezimmer war an vielen Stellen deutlich Schwarzschimmel zu sehen (Zimmerdecke, Duschkabine, Zimmerwand). Die Badtür ließ sich nicht schließen. Toilettendeckel und Sitz waren aufgeweicht und zerschlissen. Mit Hygiene hat das nichts zu tun. Das Zimmer war unsauber, es fand sich beispielsweise zentimeterdick Staub auf den Nachtleuchten. Glücklicherweise nutzten wir den Schrank nicht, da er mir bereits beim Öffnen "entgegenkam". Das Frühstück wurde zeitlich terminiert. Wir waren für 8 Uhr eingetragen...Kaffee und Tee bekamen wir ca. 8:25 Uhr, das Frühstück selbst kam 8:43 Uhr. Das war insofern nervig, weil die nächste "Charge" an Gästen bereits seit 8:40 Uhr vor dem Frühstücksraum wartete. Der Raum war wartesaal-artig laut und kalt und ungemütlich.

Leider waren die vorbeifahrenden Autos sehr laut zu hören, das Bad war schimmelig, das Bett total unbequem und das Haus insgesamt sehr hellhörig

The cooked breakfast was excellent and a good choice though there was no fresh fruit on offer. Location was good just a stop walk to the centre of town and all the shops, bars and restaurants. Our room was quiet and cosy to the back of the property and the view did not matter to us to be honest. I'd have no hesitation in staying here again and using Westport and Clooneen House as a stop-over on the way to Achill. The two canaries, Elvis and Prescilla , in the entrance hall are a big part of the house's charm too and are well looked after by the owners.

Breakfast was the high point. Excellent service and quality of food. Very enjoyable

Parking situation was awful. Very confusing and was not very clear on website. Rooms and hallways smaller than indicated. Toilet was leaking upon arrival. Very very noisy. It is located downtown, and we had screaming patrons until very late outside out window. Had we known we would have booked elsewhere.

They don't have proper storage to leave the luggage, however they kept our bags before and after checking under the stairs and it was helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay at Clooneen House. It has a lovely homely atmosphere, with a small and cosy feel. The location is very convenient, and the property is quiet, comfortable and welcoming. Everything was clean and pleasant, and the staff were friendly.

The only downside was breakfast. Even though breakfast was booked for a specific time, we had to wait because the breakfast room is quite small and there were several guests waiting. There were only two staff members working, so it was difficult for them to keep up during the busy period.

We were able to park our bikes in the secure enclosed area at the back of the B&B. The staff were so accommodating & breakfast was lovely. Such a good location to explore Westport.

Gepflegtes traditionelles Haus, welches zentral liegt mit im Rahmen wählbaren Frühstückszeiten. Es gibt einen gemütlichen Aufenthaltsraum wo man sich auch zusätzlich Kaffee/Tee machen kann.

Staff very nice and friendly

Mattress was very old and had a big dip in the middle that made it impossible to sleep. The windows also don’t isolate the noise from outside so, given that the house is located in a main road, was quite noisy. Also I could hear everything from other rooms and people passing in the corridor.

Great location for the town, staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.

The hotel was clean but dated, stairs in places were steep. The bathroom had a light sensor, when in the shower it did not sense movement and I had to finish showering in the dark, which could have been dangerous for my 88yr old Mum. The light came on when I opened the shower door. I have written to the hotel about this but had no reply. Signs to warm about the sensor could help.

Lovely property, great location.

The breakfast (full Irish) was not great quality, poor coffee and staff seamed overwhelmed by the amount of guests in the dining room at one time. Some guests had to wait in a lounge until a table became available.

Breakfast was so good with a great variety of choices. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I’m used to a firm mattress and found it a bit too soft and springy.
