Liegt in der Nähe vom Bahnhof, gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ruhige Lage. Sehr gutes traditionelles Essen. Um einiges besser als auswärts im Restaurant. Super nette Familie, die sich gut um dich kümmert.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic stay by the coast, Feel Villa in Kalutara is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out—warm, genuine, and effortlessly attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The villa itself is beautifully maintained, blending comfort with a relaxed, homely vibe. Spacious rooms, clean interiors, and a calm atmosphere made it easy to switch off and just enjoy the surroundings. What really makes this place special is the setting. Surrounded by lush greenery and just a short distance from the beach, it strikes that perfect balance between privacy and accessibility. Mornings felt slow and refreshing, and evenings were ideal for unwinding. The food deserves a mention too—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It added to the overall experience rather than just being a standard add-on.

Echt alles was super geregeld. Voor alles werd gezorgd. De vriendelijkheid en hulpvaardigheid, het internet, het ontbijt, de hygiëne, echt alles was super.

Een hele vriendelijke ontvangst door de eigenaar. Behulpzaam en gezellig. We kregen gelijk een vers geperst vruchtensap. Fijne kamer met uitzicht op een prachtige tuin vanaf het balkon. Heerlijk geslapen en ontbeten. Desgewenst veel tips van de eigenaren, een modern stel, en je kunt ook blijven dineren op aanvraag.

Niets. Wel handig om (eigen) vervoer te hebben.

We vinden het lastig om een beoordeling te geven. Dat komt omdat de gastheer, om het aardig te zeggen, over-enthousiast zijn best doet. Dat resulteert in een alles overheersende aanwezigheid en dwingende houding van de gastheer. We hoeven niet iedere dag een trip naar Bentota aangeboden te krijgen (als we daarheen hadden gewild, hadden we daar wel een paar overnachtingen geboekt) en het is heel irritant om naar een bloedhete ATM te moeten lopen omdat de gastheer persé contant betaald wil hebben. Het heeft ook geen zin om vol te houden dat de internet snelheid bij FEEL uitstekend en 'unlimited' is als de speedtest aantoont dat de snelheid niet boven de 5Mbps uit komt. Maar aan de andere kant heeft hij wel persoonlijk een gestrande reiziger (vanwege de Iran oorlog) begeleid. Kortom we houden mixed feelings over aan ons verblijf.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was comfortable and it was easy to access the town, which made getting around very convenient. The hosts were lovely and made me feel very welcome throughout our stay. I especially enjoyed the authentic Sri Lankan food, which was delicious and a real highlight of the experience. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The bathroom is looking a little tired, but this is only superficial and did not affect the facilities or our comfort in any way. Everything worked perfectly well.

Victor and his family were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. The home cooked breakfasts and dinners were authentic, varied and delicious. So much better than corporate impersonal hotels.

Victor und seine Familie sind sehr gastfreundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Er engagiert sich für Tier- und Umweltschutz. Der Aufenthalt war ein idealer Einstieg in unsere Sri Lanka-Reise, wir bekamen viele Tipps. Das Frühstück war authentisch, vielfältig und sehr gut. (In unseren nächsten beiden Unterkünften war das Frühstück eher einfach (nur Toast und Ei)). Einmal haben wir auch zu Abend gegessen und bekamen verschiedene Currys. Es war köstlich! Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb der Stadt in einer ruhigen Seitengasse.

Het is heel fijn om in dit ruime huis bij de familie te verblijven. Genoeg comfortabele plekken om binnen of buiten te zitten en een fijn zwembad in de tuin. Onze kamer was ook ruim en fijn. Enorm groot en comfortabel bed.. Badkamer was ook ruim. Het ontbijt is echte verwennerij. De gastheer is zeer behulpzaam met tips en checkt regelmatig of je nog iets nodig hebt. Je kunt hier heel relaxt een tijd verblijven. Wij vinden het een aanrader.

FEEL Villa ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Mein Zimmer war sehr geräumig, sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Klimaanlage, Warmwasser, Wifi - alles bestens. Frühstück und wahlweise Abendessen waren super lecker und reichhaltig. Die Familie empfängt ein mit offenen Armen. Sie sind so herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten sehr interessante Gespräche. Ein Dank gilt auch an Lotus, die mich herzlich empfangen hat. Alles in allem eine absolute Empfehlung.

As others have said, Victor and family are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The accommodation was good with a lovely small pool to cool off.

Ich kann mich meinen Vorrednern nur anschließen. Viktor und seine Familie sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Es war echt schön, sie kennenzulernen. Das Zimmer war schön und sauber. Das Abendessen war auch super lecker. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Wat een warm welkom in Sri Lanka! We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad bij Victor en zijn familie, die er alles aan deden om ons thuis te laten voelen. Het zelfgemaakte Sri Lankaanse eten was ook zeker een hoogtepunt! We raden het iedereen aan om hier te verblijven, wat een fijne ervaring!

Wonderful stay, couldn't have hoped for anything more. Victor and his family were great and the Villa was very well maintained. Could not recommend highly enough.

Nos ha gustado TODO. El trato de Victor, su mujer y sus hijos es inmejorable, te hacen sentirte parte de su familia. Les gusta mucho informarse sobre diferentes países y te explican cosas de Sri Lanka. Es de los mejor sitios en los que hemos estado. La habitación, jardín y piscina muy limpio y muy bien cuidado todo. El desayuno de 10. Mucha cantidad y riquísima. 100% recomendable.

We had a wonderful stay at Victor’s authentic Sri Lankan home stay, Feel. Victor truly embodies his values of integrity, passion, care, cleanliness and teamwork. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to share his life in Sri Lanka. We joined him on his early morning beach cleaning efforts (shame on those who left the rubbish) and were rewarded by not only the satisfaction of collecting many bags of rubbish but also a tasty and eclectic homemade breakfast. Victor and his family were incredibly hospitable and we would not hesitate to return.

A great place with a very friendly and helpful owner. The food is great and lots of it. The rooms are very nice with comfy beds.

Victor and his wonderful family could not be more welcoming and kind. It’s a homestay in Sri Lanka so it’s worth noting that when you book. I couldn’t have been happier and would definitely stay again. I did a bit of travelling whilst there and I felt safe to do so because I knew Victor was there if I needed him. I can honestly say that I stayed in some places that almost cost more for one night than a full week here and I slept better at Feel Villa than anywhere else!!!!

Victor and his family will make the best out of your stay. We were looking for a stop with our tuktuk and this place really made our last day a memorable one. Amazing food and enjoyed the talks

Victor and family are really sweet. It is a beautiful house, with a nice garden and great pool to cool down. Breakfast was a lot and had a great taste.

The atmosphere in Feel villa is superb, owners are great people. We stayed only for one night but wanted to stay longer. The room is big and bed is comfortable. Wifi works very well. Breakfast was great.

The room was amazing and soooo clean. There was AC, a warm shower, a big bed, good wifi. But the best part were the people. Such a warm family that made you feel welcome and safe! And they make the best food!

Super location, near both the town and the beach. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.But it is the staff who really make this guesthouse a great place to stay. Always smiling and helpful and Victor, the host, is a charming man who thinks deeply about the environment and acts upon it. Nothing was too much bother and he even encouraged us to use our room until we needed to leave for the airport at 3PM.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Kalatura, Feel Villa is a refuge from the bustle of a busy town. The room is spacious and cool - basically has everything you need - and if it doesn't, just ask Victor. Victor can help with any info you might need. He can solve almost any problem. And he's a great guy. As well, the young lady who looks after the kitchen is a marvel. Breakfast offers great variety. And be sure and try her dinners. You won't be disappointed. Finally the pool is refreshing on hot Sri Lankan days And lots of shady spots to relax.

One of our favourite places in our month trip around Sri Lanka. Victor and his family were so lovely and welcoming, they made us a delicious vegetarian curry for dinner, great breakfast, clean and spacious room and really nice outdoor area. We had our own tuktuk so it was a perfect spot to break up the drive between Unawatuna and Negombo… wish we could’ve stayed longer here! Thanks for such a lovely stay we hope to visit you all again soon 😊

A family guest house with a welcoming approach, meals are available & breakfast variety was good. Room was quiet, comfortable with a fan & air conditioning,. Pool was a good addition in a lovely relaxing garden area. & parking available. Victor & family are attentive & nake an effort to provide a enjoyable stay.

This Homestay was THE BEST 💜 -Victor and his family treated us as we were also a part of this beautiful family while not being intrusive at all. -We enjoyed walking to a nearby beaches and having a dip in the beautiful pool. -Breakfast was very large and delicious. -We enjoyed some beautiful cakes and tea on the balcony while having a really interesting conversation with Victor our host. -After breakfast, we began reading ourselves to leave the property and we were told that we could stay as long as we wanted as check out was flexible. - One of nicest gentlemen we’ve had the pleasure of crossing paths with on our travels.

Spent 10 days in total at this lovely, warm, welcoming villa. This place is really a treasure if you are looking for local experience. Victor and his family made my stay amazing and I felt like a part of the family. Rooms were clean, the food was yummy, location was good - close to the ocean and close to the shops. The swimming pool was clean every day and I also had a chance to use their yoga mats to do my daily yoga practice! :) It was truly an extraordinary experience to be here, thank you, Victor! I recommend, I also appreciate that the family is making a big step forward as they are being very eco-friendly, Thumbs up for that as in Sri Lanka is not that easy to do that.

No hesitation this was our favourite stay in sri lanka. The wonderful family were so welcoming, we left with new friends. They could not do enough for us. The property is equipped with everything you could possibly need. As well as comfy clean bedroom, a living space downstairs provided use of kitchen if needed and clean pool to lounge by. Wifi was great, aircon worked well . We have no complaints. What made this stay so great for us was being able to see the hard work the family have put into their business and how well thought out every detail was. We can't recommend this place enough. And hope to return one day. Thank you again
