The Breezy Volcano

Amazing view of Mount Abang and the lake. Love soaking in the hot spring pool right outside the room that is emptied and refilled every morning with fresh clean springwater :) Staff were helpful and prompt to attend to my requests too. Comfy bed, hot shower, all great for a tranquil stay. Location is also close to the start of trekking route up Mt Batur. option of taking jeep to midpoint and trekking to top. Breakfast was good and staff accommodated to my later timing. Day 1, i ordered vegetarian fried noodles which were done too salty for my tastes. After feedback, staff remembered my diet / taste preference and next day fried rice was done nicely with less salt ❤️😋 For transport to airport, best to arrange in advance either privately or with villa's owner. I had thought Grab will do but after booking they either cancelled or tried to get me to direct liaise via whatsapp, during which asking price was doubled as they would have to make an "empty" return trip. Grateful to villa owner's help to get me a driver in the end whose charges were more reasonable not as exhorbitant as the Grab drivers.

The route in can be quite rocky with turns and twists. Even with the skilled drivers, i experienced some motion sickness.

The location is amazing - picture perfect in terms of the view. The volcanic hot spring water in the plunge pool, was most welcome during the cold evenings… Menu at location was limited - but the staff were obliging to prep on call. Friendly staff who were helpful in terms of information. Very clean and family friendly location… the jeep driver was arranged by the property to visit the Mt Batur viewpoint at sunrise.

Attention of the staff was limited, when the property was full.

The view was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the hot spring water right in front of the room. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were attentive and helpful. There is also a small market within walking distance.

The location is a little hilly and quite far inside, so the road may cause motion sickness for some people. There were also quite a lot of flies, although the daily cleaning helped keep this from becoming a major issue. The breakfast could be improved.

The staff (not the host, but his workers) were really helpful and kind despite the negative experience with the host. The rooms looked cosy, well maintained and clean though. So I'd rate it as 6 - pleasant. But way far from good.

Our host was not prepared for our arrival, which made for a very disappointing start to our stay. Fortunately, the POS terminal was out of battery, so we were unable to complete the payment immediately. The hot spring was another major disappointment. The water was neither hot nor warm—it was cold, dirty, and clearly not ready for guests. We were told that it would take around 20 minutes, which in fact needed minimum 4–5 hours to clean and refill it with fresh, hot water. The staff tried to change the water, but it went out directly on the neighbors. Most frustratingly, we had specifically booked two rooms with lake views, but the host tried to host us in rooms with a view of a concrete wall instead — despite charging us the same price. This was completely different from what we had booked and expected! In Bali some people always seek how to sneak around, It is extremely frustrating when guests feel that they are being misled or taken advantage of (ripped off). This kind of practice creates a very negative impression and is particularly disappointing when you are simply expecting to receive what you paid for. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and left us feeling that the host had not been honest or respectful toward us as guests.

The view, rooms, staff, grounds were absolutely fabulous. Staff were exceptional, nothing was too hard and very accommodating. The personal hot spring tubs are sensational too. Freshly filled everyday.

There are a lot of flies which Kintamani is known for so bring fly spray and repellent The location is quite remote so a motorbike is recommended to get around

Where do I start? The room was spacious, stylish, immaculate and comfortable. The view from our huge window was amazing. The fridge in the room worked well and was good size. The private hot tub was filled with natural spring water early every morning so we could watch the sunrise from in there and was refilled throughout the day/evening. The staff were outstanding. They were hospitable and very friendly and could not do enough for us. Our host took us on an excursion, then when we wanted to detour well out of the way for lunch, adding another couple of hours to the trip, he tried to refuse extra money. The food is good and you can bring your own drinks. The hotel is quite isolated therefore I would recommend you either hire scooters (which the hotel can arrange to be brought to you) or make sure you stock up on supplies before you arrive. This includes your drinks and insect repellant (as the whole of Kintamani has an issue with flies).

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Sparkling clean! Exceptional view on the mountain. The hot tub was filled with water every few hours to make sure it was available for us anytime. Ketut was super friendly. Simple menu available on site. Copious breakfast.

Access by car is quite challenging and it is not that easy to find as there is no sign.

The view was incredible, and the vibe was very relaxing. The bed was warm and cosy.

I would have like to have another soak in the hot tub in the morning watching the sun come up, but it was emptied during the night. The flys were intense and the doors had big gaps in between them so the insects could get through. The hair dryer cord was taped up and didn't look in the best order to use.

Le paysage est à couper le souffle! C’est d’ailleurs une des raisons principales de notre nuit à kintamani et plus particulièrement dans cet établissement et aussi pour faire le trek en 4x4 vers le Mont Bâtur . Jeune garçon qui travaillait là était super sympathique !

Les mouches! Elles rentrent dans votre chambre et vous empêchent littéralement de faire une sieste après votre trekking. On avait réserver deux nuits finalement nous sommes restés qu’une seule. Il n’y a rien à faire autour de l’hôtel car situé tout en haut d’une colline , pas de magasin, pas de grab , rien nada , welo ! Je n’ai pas aimé la nourriture que proposait l’établissement. Les frites avaient le goût de l’huile de coco , à peine 15 frittes dans les assiettes. Pas de café non plus sur place , mise appart du café en sachet ! Les prises dans la chambre , il y’en avait que deux , le frigo pas branché non plus .

The included breakfast was lovely, very filling. I had the best eggs I have eaten in Bali here. We also had our dinners at the hotel, and they were great too. The staff were super friendly and couldn’t do more than enough to help out. Their English was great and were always up for a chat without being overbearing. The pool and the little hot spring pool outside the room were a nice touch. We used the hot spring pool each morning and evening. They refill the water twice a day so it’s still lovely and hot. The water is then reused for irrigation of the nearby farms. The view was spectacular, so relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Prefect pressure. The hotel organised a guide for the Mt. Batur walk. He was also great, had really good English and was very knowledgeable. Walking from the hotel wasn’t too far, it took us just over an hour and a half to get to the top. Getting a scooter or AV part way looked like a waste of money, not to mention a noisy way to start and end your walk, also not great environmentally in regards to the degradation of the well used track. The convenience of taking an AV or scooter part way, also means that once you get to the top, there are hundreds of others there. Not quite the romantic picture posted in any advertising you see. This was actually the case 28 years ago when we last did this hike, we were only part of a handful of people at the top.

As most people have mentioned already, the road to this and other nearby accommodations is pretty atrocious, which is not the fault of the owners. We drove a hire car and it was a white knuckled drive. As far as the property itself goes, the only thing I could fault is that there could be better signage to the property and once you actually get to the property. Google maps had us turn into a different accommodation and streets and due to the narrow steep road it was really tricky for us to safely get there without potentially damaging the hire car.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The thermal spring hot tub with each room we booked was delightful and even got served a beer when sitting in it.

Wonderful view of the lake, very cozy and beautiful rooms, each with its own hot tub with water coming from the hot spring. Staff was very attentive and made us feel comfortable and welcomed.

Connection to the main road is very bumpy, but this can be common in Bali once you are off the main street.

Ah les mouches j avoue que sans elles se serait parfait. En 2 jours on ne s'y habitue pas mais il faut quand même faire abstraction pour profiter du spectacle.

La vue magnifique sur le lac et montagne du bain d’eaux chaude du volcan. Très ressourçant. Les serveurs sont très agréables et dévoués. Ils ont fait de leur mieux pour que l’on ne soit pas embêtés par les mouches. Proximité des chemins pour gravir le mont Batur.

La bañera redonda de agua termal enfrente de la habitación con vistas al lago. La hospitalidad y servicio de Kutuk y su compañera.

Las moscas molestan mucho y se meten en la habitación. Es un problema de la zona, no especifica del hotel. Las instalaciones son deficientes. La grifería está deteriorada, sale poca agua de la ducha. Está alejado del centro, 5km. y hace falta taxi o alquilar moto para desplazarse.

Splendida vista del lago, stanza grande e pulita. Personale gentile e collaborativo.

Purtroppo l accesso alla struttura e per una stradina piena di buche e con tratti di salita pericolosissima. Con lo scooter abbiamo rischiato di cadere. Presenza oltre ogni limite di tolleranza di mosche. Abbiamo deciso pertanto di andarcene dopo la prima notte.

La proximité du sentier de trekking qui mène au volcan Batur est un avantage précieux. La vue sur le lac est magnifique. Le spa à chaque unité procure un véritable plaisir. Le personnel est attentif à tous nos besoins, particulièrement Gede, qui nous a trouvé un guide pour la montée au volcan, un chauffeur pour nous conduire à une autre destination et il a même offert de m’amener en scooter à l’épicerie du village

Probably the best view in this area! The villas are situated on the highest level of this street. Fantastic experience with hotspring water in the pool, gives a massaging feeling of your shoulders from a direct pipe from the volcano. Very quiet, beautiful service and often the poolarea by yourself. Stay more than one night and relax! Several good hotelrestaurants, close down the same street. Lovely to try.

Красивый вид на озеро и гору, тёплый бассейн очень был кстати после того, как мы немного замёрзли и промокли на байке под дождём, большая и достаточно удобная кровать.

В целом, все хорошо. Есть только предложения. Поскольку в этой местности было очень много мух, что конечно же не вина администрации отеля, но если бы в бунгало был электрический фумигатор (репилент), это бы очень помогло комфортному проживанию. Нам пришлось ночью их травить спреем и 15 минут ждать на улице пока внутри все проветрится. Также, не понятно почему, но в ванной нет ни одного крючка для полотенец и одежды, а в комнате нет шкафа или рейла с вешалками, только комод с ящиками.

I absolutely loved this hotel’s location. It offers one of the best views of the lake Batur and Mount Abang. You can watch the sunrise, the movement of the clouds, and the stunning nature of this unique part of Bali. It’s also very convenient for hiking Mount Batur, as the starting point is easy to reach from the hotel. The design of the cottages, the landscaping, and the overall atmosphere are beautiful and tastefully done. The owner and his wife, as well as all the staff, are incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. The food was excellent too: breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were all very tasty. Another big highlight is the pool filled with natural hot spring water, which was such a pleasure to enjoy.

Ketut and the staff were amazing hosts. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They also cooked delicious meals including chicken and fish. The natural hot spring at the hotel is also 10/10 with the best view of Lake Batur.

Breathtaking Scenery. Friendly staff who helped book me a hiking guide from the hotel to peak of mount batur took about 90 mins for us - I am relatively in shape but not a fitness buff for reference. They also booked me a driver down to Kuta when my previous one had cancelled.

Lots of flies as others have said - but the staff provided some bait traps to try and reduce the bother- there also arent so many inside the room. The doors are quite thin so sound from outside can wake you (especially because it is in a remote area so sound travels!). The roads to reach the hotel are a bit tricky too as many are in this area.

Le logement est neuf, l’équipe est sympa, le coin est magnifique, le propriétaire a tout fait pour chauffer la piscine durant notre séjour trop agréable après le mont batur de profiter de la piscine.

Les mouches mais au final pas grand chose dans le logement après l’activité attrape mouche puis après 18h il y en a moins. Et la culture des oignons fait que les proprios n’y sont pour rien. On s’y adapte.

Le personnel est adorable, la nourriture est bonne, la vue sur le lac est superbe! Vue directe depuis les chambres. Chambre spacieuse et propre. Bon rapport qualité-prix. Nous avons fait le Mont Batur en partant directement de l'Hotel ( juste au pied) avec guide privé, un peu de monde en haut mais vue magnifique!

Mis à part les mouches qui sont très énervantes mais qui n'ont rien à voir avec l'hôte (partout dans la région)l, c'était top!

Die Räume und das Badezimmer sind sehr gross und bietet viel platz. Das Personal ist sehr herzlich und das essen ist fantastisch. Würde bei der nächsten Bali reise sofort wieder dorthin Schöne aussicht und ein Pool sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Personal versucht alles, um die wünsche zu erfüllen

The room was really nice looking and very comfortable. The bed was big and comfy. The room had great views, you could see the swimming pool, the lake, the mountains.... Great place to see the sunrise. The road to get to the hotel is really bad but our Grab was able to do the trip. The staff is really nice, kind and helpful. The breakfast is OK, they have options. We enjoyed our stay.

The only thing is that the flies in the area are a total nuisance. It's not a thing of the hotel, it's the area, but they are relentless.

The location of the place is very problematic and drivers don’t want to go there and cancel Grabs, the you must take the place’s driver which is expensive. In general there are many flies in Batur which is very disturbing.
