Everything you can think of is provided, making the stay really good. The lady who manages this gem is really professional and goes over and above to provide guests comfort.

Our shower had two entrances, and outdoor entrance did not have a locker or it did not work:)

Was a great stop in-between Auckland & Coromandel. The owner welcomed us and showed us to our room, nice facilities including spa pools massage chairs & swimming pool, bbq area was a cool set up. Our room was comfortable and clean. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed including tea & coffee. Thanks would stay again

Beds were comfy, accommodation spacious and our hostess was friendly and very accommodating - even letting us park while we cycled the Hauraki Rail Trail and returning the following day

She is a dog lover and other guests without dogs were also fine with my dog being in communal areas. The venue is located almost opposite the Gorge with amazing walk ways.

The walls were paper thin so if you are a light sleeper, pack some ear plugs. It didn't bother us, we slept well.

Facilities were great, a bit rustic, not plush but plenty of gear to cook with, no shortage of cooking utensils, crockery or cutlery Super comfy beds, great showers, essentials whilst touring. Anita is a great hostess, always happy and chatty, ready to share local knowledge and tips for sightseeing etc. Nothing seemed too much trouble for her. Many thanks for being such a kind and caring person. Would definately recommend this relaxed and friendly bolthole.

Reviewed Dec 26, 2025An excellent location, as close as possible to the Karangahake Gorge. The instructions for arrival were neat and clear, perfect for a smooth check-in. The common spaces that we could use (kitchen, living room) were thoughtfully arranged and decorated, comfortable, agreeable to live in. And the spa was enjoyable. The room itself was love at first sight, with its assorted bed linen and cushions. I also highly appreciated the communication with our host.
