The accommodation is located in wilderness and has stunning views of Karangahape. It was such a nice escape from the hustle bustle of the city life and enjoy the quite luxury living in a beautiful cabin with an outdoor bath which you can enjoy under the stars. The host were extremely responsive and were able to pay attention to our needs.

We had hot water for 20 seconds before it went cold. Think the gas needed changing and the hosts kindly told us at the end of our stay, the previous guests had the same issue. Meant we couldn’t use the bath and showers were quick!

Everything was perfect. 🙌 Amazing hosts and the brownies you get on arrival are just so good. Definitely a 10/10.

A beautiful quiet peaceful private spot close to Hauraki Trail and Karangahake walks. The cottage was so lovely with gorgeous deck, hammock, outside bath, lovely facilities and tastefully decorated. Had the added bonus of some lovely brownie and muesli. We will be back

Would definetly re book again! Definetly exceeded my expectation, the place was spotless, had everything you need, the bathroom was spacious and a lot bigger than we expected! Such a great stay and well worth the money! Genuinely relaxing and the bonus brownies where sooo yummy! Many thanks to the host for this beautiful stay

Great location amongst the forrest. The facilities were lovely. Nice deck to sit out on having a barbecue while sipping on a glass of wine. Had an adorable dog that visited us but didn’t make a nuisance of herself.

There were two things I personally found were a bit of a challenge. Not being able to get off and on the bed from both sides. The continuous hum of road noise from the main road below detracted from the beautiful tranquil landscape and view.

Clean, cute and comfortable. You can see the hosts property from the cabin but it still feels super private. Bed was comfy, bathroom spacious and clean. Everything felt like it was finished to a really nice standard. The bedroom was rustic and charming with a great view too. Location great for exploring the Karangahake gorge or beyond. There was everything you would need, extra towels, blankets, hammock, BBQ etc. Plus yummy brownie and granola!

OK I'll get nitpicky as there really are no faults as such. I would personally have liked a bigger TV as the space could handle it easily. Also a bigger ottoman so 2 people can enjoy stretching out on the comfy couch, and again this is a roomy little area so could fit in no problem. Probably the one thing that I would do immediately is put a roller blind/roman blind on the kitchen window as it faces east and the morning sun woke me early, or put a curtain across the bedroom door. Either one would fix this. Another thing to think about would be somewhere to have a nice cup of tea enjoying the morning sun. Possible place could be a little table just up above the outdoor bath, I noticed it was nice and sunny there. We would love to come back and stay if in the area again.

We had a lovely long weekend here, the place was quiet and comfortable and in a beautiful location up on the hill in the bush. The hosts were wonderful, very easy to communicate with, and left us some welcoming chocolate brownies and stocked the kitchen with all the little bits and pieces - everything was so thoughtful. Would love to stay here again!

Lovely property, great surroundings, well appointed, unique.

Overall the property was lovely and unique and I would recommend it to others. The property is really well maintained and would be a lovely retreat for a couple wanting to get away and have some R & R. The property had alot of great inclusions, and the owners communication was really good. If I could offer one suggestion and that would be slightly more comfortable linen/duvet.

My stay here was exceptional - everything I wanted and more. The 'window' bed is amazing - I didn't want to get up. Very comfy and warm. Brownie treats were delicious, and so was the granola (I ate too much!). Amazing location, beautiful decor, attention to detail in every aspect. Amazing - thank you so much. I loved my peaceful solo stay and wish I could have stayed longer.

It’s in a great spot backing on to native bush, with a nice view. All of the little things have been thought of to make it an amazing stay.

Everything was beautiful, clean and so homely. Loved our stay here the little touches of homemade brownie and cereal was above and beyond highly recommended this place to anyone needing some down time!

Lovely spot. Beautiful bush and surrounding area to explore. The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable.

The personal touches of homemade cereal and chocolate brownie waiting for us when we arrived were amazing. The fire pit, fully stocked, no light pollution so we could see the beautiful night sky. Great place to stay, would book again.

This place was one of our favourites on the North Island. Beautiful, serene surroundings and such a cleverly built cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay, which was a welcome rest stop along the way to Auckland. Comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, spotless bathroom with plenty of hot water. Couldn't ask for more. Also - amazing brownies left out for us which didn't last very long!

Restful views and surroundings

Everything was perfect. This is a place everyone should stay at for at least one night. It’s far from the city and perfect for spending romantic time with your partner. The experience includes a hot bath, delicious brownies, and muesli cereal. The host was incredibly nice, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve talked to my partner, and we’re already planning to visit again soon!

Location was perfect, so tranquil and peaceful with amazing views. It was exactly what we were looking for when booking a restful weekend retreat. The facilities were pristine and clean, and included all the amenities we needed for a no fuss stay. It was a quick drive into Waihi to restock food, and an even quicker drive down to the Karangahake gorge for a leisurely walk. Would highly recommend.

Clean and tidy and plenty of room, the hammock was very nice. The view of the stars from the bed at night. The call of a Kiwi during the night.

There is nothing I didn’t like but an extra horizontal towel rail (or heated towel rail) in the bathroom would be beneficial.
