The bed was not hard, not comfortable.

The bathroom shower didn't have hot water.... Our bed pillow had stains.... Mould on the ceiling.... Dirty walls.... The cleaning staff chatting away and making noise while we were still sleeping. When you book a stay it's usually for relaxation purposes but it wasn't nice to be woken up by voices of chatting ladies early morning. Please do better..

We had the poorest service and the worst experience. The booking on Booking.com does not clearly specify the type of room, which was very misleading. We had to upgrade our room, and the process was a real hustle. Since it was already late, we had to call the manager to assist us. The room itself was not properly maintained. There was paint on the walls and ceilings, and the painting was untidy. To make matters worse, there was no water until the following morning. They eventually brought us water in a 20-litre bucket, but by then, we had to leave without bathing. 😭 At exactly 00:00, a man knocked on our room asking for assistance. We referred him to reception, as we felt this was completely inappropriate and uncomfortable. Honestly, this is one of the worst places we have come across in Nelspruit, not only because of the poor condition of the room but also because of the terrible service. I will never go back there, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The room was not cleaned to the expected standard. Most of the the equipments are not in a good condition like the fridge door doesn't close properly, the bed base it looks old and stripped on the other sides. Toilet and shower are really not in good condition and were not cleaned properly

The room was small, no walking space, no space to put out clothes, no space to eat we had to eat on the bed, shower was a bit dirty, the power cut. The wood near the bed fell, almost hitting us. The room was toooo cramped.

Receptionist was very pleasant. Pool was clean and attractive and provided a pleasant venue for poolside drinks/snacks/take away meals. There was a braai place but no real self catering facilities

First night there was a puppy crying either on the property or next door Casa Palmeira proprietor should have intervened. Hot water was used up by 6:30 am. No glasses provided. no bowls for cereal (only flat plates). Only one key for the room.(Had to hand it to reception when going out and then collect it upon return. Shower door broken. Old mattress. No remote for property gate - needed to hoot for opening.

There was no water to fill the kettle, small cocroaches on the floor next to my luggage. You can't see them when there's light but once you switch off they appear. This was a dissapointment.

Blankets provided was torn on the corner. Dujet had black stains. Door was full of dirt around the handle. Bathroom had a smell of something that hasn't been taken care of. One of the tile kept falling off. I could feel the springs of the bed. The following morning they didn't have water coming through our rooms but taps were working on the yard, so they had to bring water with backets....

We love Nelspruit and its beautiful natural surroundings. The area's scenery and peaceful atmosphere were the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, the accommodation itself did not meet our expectations and detracted from what could have been an enjoyable visit.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) My stay at Casa Palmeira was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Our booking was for two adults and one child, yet we were given a room with only a double bed. No proper sleeping arrangement was provided for our grandchild, who had to spend the night on a couch, which was very uncomfortable to sleep on. This was unacceptable and did not match the booking we had made. After a long road trip, we were looking forward to taking a hot shower, only to discover that there was no hot water. When we informed the host, we were simply told to let the water run because it would eventually get hot. We followed this instruction and let the water run for approximately five minutes, but the water never became hot. As a result, we had no choice but to wash with cold water after a long day's travel. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the accommodation were also disappointing. The cups provided for making coffee were dirty and chipped, which raised concerns about hygiene and the general standard of upkeep. The hosts were also very unprofessional and unhelpful whenever assistance was needed, which only added to our frustration. To make matters worse, the wastewater drains were overflowing, causing a foul sewage smell to come up through the shower drain. The stench made using the bathroom extremely unpleasant and significantly affected our stay. Overall, the accommodation fell well below expectations in terms of service, comfort, and basic maintenance. Between the lack of proper sleeping arrangements, no hot water, the unpleasant sewage smell, and the poor response from the hosts, this was not an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Casa Palmeira based on our stay. Rating: ⭐ 1/5

The location was good.

I was not given the room that I booked for online. The bathroom that I was given was not good. The water from the shower was spilling all over the bathroom area making it very uncomfortable to visit the toilet and for bathing in the morning.

The back yard was the only thing that was represented accurately in the photos.

Everything- our rooms had black mould on the ceilings and walls. The shower was missing a panel of glass. The toilet seat was broken. There were burn holes in the sheets. We requested a baby cot/ camp cot and didn’t receive one.

The accommodation is well located and offers good value for money. Since I was just passing through, it suited my needs well. For stays longer than a couple of days, some guests might find themselves missing a few amenities. Overall, though, it was a satisfactory experience.

The bathroom was quite basic. When showering, the entire floor got wet, and there was no shelf or holder for shampoo and soap. There was also some noise from people passing by in front of the room. Perhaps placing a sign asking guests to keep quiet could help. The shared kitchen was not very well equipped and was quite dirty, likely due to the previous night and some guests not being considerate of the communal nature of the space. Overall, these were relatively minor issues, but addressing them would make the experience more comfortable for future guests.

The room had an excessive smell of cigarettes smoke, it was unpleasant and everywhere. In the curtains, opening the aircon made it worse. They promised towels and they never brought them, the fridge makes a noise, you’ll think it’s raining outside. But then again for a budget room, they might’ve not paid attention to detail. It’s fair

I booked a deluxe King room, only to get a room with a bed as small as a matchbox. On their website they say no loud music allowed, but there was a big party going with lots of alcohol.

I can't really think of anything that I liked about the place. When we arrived before 3, the room was not done yet. When we eventually entered te room there was a smell. The bedding had marks on it, the white walls had dirty hand marks on it, it just felt off to be in there. We kept seeing cars arriving and everybody kept unloading a lot of alcohol. The room above us blasted their music so loud. We were there for an hour or 2 when my husband said we had to leave. Without making a scene or anything we just packed our stuff and left. Terrible experience

Everything actually. If you go to a accommodation place, you see reception first, right? If you know what reception looks like, you will have a feel for what the rooms will look like. We should have left when we saw reception

The bed was not comfortable, The shower basin was falling apart, after eating you have to wash your hands in the bathroom, they only provided 1 towel , while mentioned on the booking that it was for 2 people.

It’s in a great quiet neighbourhood. There was no unnecessary noise, towels were provided. It looked very good all in all.

The cabin door does not close at all, so I have to lock the door in order for it to be closed. The shower in the cabin doesn’t have a curtain so there was just water everywhere after using the shower.

I canceled my booking 40 minutes after making it. I was not happy with the place. The room had only enough space for the bed. The only way to get onto the bed was from the foot of the bed. The right side, left side, and head of the bed were fitted against the wall. The house and the inside of the room smelled of cigarettes. I was not happy with the place. In the future, they should state the size of the room and the condition of the place.

The checkin was awesome and quick, the lady at front desk was excellent and friendly. Our room was super clean and it smelled great. The place is situated in a quiet neighborhood. I'm definitely coming back for the pool.

Nothing; instead, they prefer cash clients because it's easier than using bookings.com. I paid a deposit upon arrival, but I was told no, they didn't have a reservation, claiming it was a technical glitch and shifting the blame to Booking.com, which makes the platform look bad. I'm very disgusted. I'd never recommend this place to anyone. It's corruption at its worst. I drove 4:50 hours for nothing.

The furniture is old and needs to be renovated. Their curtlery needs to be replaced. Toilets are leaking, bathtubs are not working only showers. Microwaves and kettle not working. The pools is not maintained in the right way. They don’t use chemicals to clean it.
