Sweet Time Bungalows

Very quiet at this time of year giving a luxurious feel to the beautiful beach. Shoes are not required for this stay as you are only 50m from the beach and the white sands stretch back to the bungalows. The views are stunning and the sea is warm.

Sand flies, mosquito and insects are quite active antihistamines are advised

Lovely place so much more authentic than other hotels on the beach. We felt part of the family and the staff was always ready to make our stay better. Food is homemade and really good.

Nothing really important

The location is excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is also very delicious, especially the grilled fish from the barbecue, which was a real highlight. The place definitely has even more potential, but overall I would still highly recommend it. Koh Rong Sanloem is a beautiful island, and staying at Sweet Time Bungalows is an experience you won’t forget.

Such friendly staff!! They picked us up from the pier when we arrived and took us to the pier when we left. The food was amazing, both local and western food. The location is perfect on saracen bay! it’s close to popular resorts and hostels so there were many food options and not to mention it’s a couple steps from the beautiful sea. The room had great aircon and a powerful shower. There wasn’t hot water but it wasn’t too cold. We also had the local dog sleeping on our porch which was a cute suprise.

At first, the owner/manager was friendly and welcoming, trying to offer us additional services. However, our experience quickly deteriorated once we got to the room. The bed linen was extremely dirty—honestly quite disgusting—and the air conditioning was not working at all. When we informed the manager, his attitude changed noticeably. He came to the room and insisted that we simply didn’t know how to use the AC properly. He became slightly agitated and told us to wait, as it might take some time to cool down. We explained that it had already been running for a couple of hours with no improvement, but he continued to blame us, saying we hadn’t pressed the correct buttons—despite it being set exactly as he had shown us. We decided to follow his instructions and waited longer. After another one to two hours with no change, we contacted him again. This time, he responded quite abruptly, saying, “No worries, I’ll call the technician—it’s not the end of the world.” Unfortunately, the technician never came. Throughout our entire stay, the air conditioning never worked, and no alternative solution was offered. Given the manager’s increasingly aggressive attitude, we chose not to raise the issue further.

Das Hotel hat gutes Frühstück und Abends kann man dort super essen und trinken. BBQ ist sehr gut.

Das Hotel ist renovierungs bedürftig und an den Wänden sind überall Larven. Es gibt nix zum Sachen ablegen. Der Jonny hat uns eine Fahrt mit Nachtbus verkauft was eine Katastrophe war (20 Stops, Menschen schliefen im Gang, Kakerlaken, Kein richtiges Bettzeug, sehr laut, keine Toilette ) Ich war danach übersät mit Insektenstichen. Die Raststätte wo wir hielten waren genauso die letzten Absteigen von Sauberkeit. Also mit dem Unternehmen nie wieder :ChampaTourist Bus !

Vynikající poloha, dobrá restaurace, klimatizace na pokoji, dobrá cena za ubytování.

Povlečení a prostěradla byly ušmudlané, působilo to, jako by je po předchozích návštěvnících nevyměnili. Ručníky zapáchaly, v koupelně bylo málo odkládacího prostoru na toaletní potřeby. O tom, že zde není teplá voda jsme věděli dopředu a byli jsme s tím smířeni. Zamykání apartmánu je jen jakási imitace. Stačí v místě zámku lehce zatlačit a šoupací okno se lehce otevře i při zamčené klice. V okolí restaurace je docela nepořádek.

Un peu plus d’équipement serait parfait (notamment une bouilloire avec 2 verres ou tasses dans la chambre ferait une réelle différence et une note 5⭐️)

Trzeba pamiętać, że to mała wyspa nie ma tam dróg samochodów. To zaleta tego miejsca. Drogi się budują to i samochody będą w przyszłości. Mam nadzieję że tak szybko to nie nastąpi Wyspa jeszcze dzika pełna pięknej przyrody. Ładne morze i piękne plaże.

Zbyt dużo śmieci wyrzucanych przez morze. To problem duży dla turystów i władz miejscowych. Dlaczego się tym nie zajmują? Resorty, hotele pensjonaty oczywiście starają się sprzątać ale to nie wszystko. Wymaga to większego zaangażowania władz nie tylko tej wyspy ale całego regionu.

This is a very unhygienic fly ridden resort. There was the same rubbish around the resort for all four days I was here, they just walked past it. As for the evening barbecue all the plates with salad and sweetcorn are left uncovered and the flies swarm around them. I would never eat here. The fan rooms were in a terrible state of repair. There are quite a few pleasant lads working here. Why doesn’t the owner get them to clear the place up? He just walks past it all.

Was good value for money at 17$ per night for a basic backpacker style room that is not too far from the ferry drop-off in Saracen bay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room was a fan room. Staff were super friendly and helpful, offering various additional services. Food was tasty, the portions were good and drinks were also very reasonable.

Staff were often sitting on their phones listening to random social media on loud speakers while guests were sitting and eating. Especially when there are things for them to do, such as pick up the litter on the beach or put out beach loungers or minor repairs. Guests come to the island to hear and see the sea. Although in their defense, this seems very common throughout Cambodia, where people are unaware of noise pollution. Where much of Western cultures find it to be inconsiderate to others. We enjoyed the food so much that we returned a few days later, when using the ladies' bathrooms in the restaurant found that the toilet seats were missing, as well dustbins to throw the tissues in. It looks like there are some dustbins that were taken out to empty and just forgotten to return. I eventually fetched 1 myself as I did not want to put the tissue in the toilet.

Tout. Pour commencer il a de la rouille sur la clés et le cadenas pour rentrer. Ensuite la chambre empeste l’humidité. Puis il y a du moisi du sol au plafond en passant par les draps bien évidemment … Sans oublier qu’il n’y a pas d’eau chaude et que le propriétaire n’en a que pour votre argent et ne s’en cache pas. Il est aussi aimable qu’une porte de prison.

They collected us from the ferry and took us back.

The place is run by kids. There are no adults. It is the dirtiest place on the beach. They swept but left all the plastic bottles and drink cans on the floor. There was sand in the bed so the sheets had not been changed.

Staff are friendly, foods are good. Bath towels are smell bad. 😔

Very close to the beach and there were loads of food options.

Breakfast was good. I wish the restaurant would invest in a few Cafetieres in order to serve ground coffee rather than instant coffee. They could make more money too. I happily paid $3.50 on Lazy Beach for a cafetiere with Lavazza ground coffee used. The food was very good generally, and the drinks were fairly priced too.

Could you please put a big mirror in room B03, and also sweep under the bed!!! A waste paper bin in the bedroom would be useful too...

Very very unclean property, pillows were covered in mold and sheets covered in stains. Felt thoroughly unclean . Towels had dead bugs in them and were unable to use .

Amazing stay, staff were wonderful and so helpful helped us get to the departure pier free of charge, location was amazing right on the beautiful beach, restaurant was great we ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner both days we stayed here as it was delicious and very reasonably priced, definitely recommend you booking this place

Comfortable stay. Nice to have a little porch to chill after a day at the beach. Staff helped us book a ferry back to the mainland, as well as transport to the pier.

Wifi worked, but was spotty at times. No real complaints, though!

Location was good, beachfront, large rooms/cabins, kind staff. Happy with most things. Pancakes on their menu were delicious (Nutella and fruit filled)

We had a wonderful 5 nights here. The bungalow is basic but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect location, with easy access to nearby piers and in walking distance of other beaches around the island. The boat trip organised by the accommodation was a fun way to see more of the island. Great BBQ every night with a range of fresh fish to chose from. All the staff are friendly and attentive. They provided wonderful service and kindly picked us up and dropped us to the pier. Big thanks to our friend 168. We hope to visit again in the future!

Location is great and staff are very friendly, food in there restaurant is really good as well. Would recommend staying here as it was good value for money

Great location in front of the beach. Nice restaurant and comfortable rooms.

The setting, staff and food here were all excellent. The little chalet was sweet and the bed was comfortable. The Aircon worked well and there was outside space to sit on the porch too.

The bathroom functioned as a toilet with a tiny hand basin. There was a fixed shower head but nowhere to stand to take a shower. The tiles were broken and very dated . It is a shame this small room let this chalet down so much. There is space to make this shower room larger and refit it so you can take a shower.

Great location, right next to orchid pier and 20 mins walk from other pier, lovely quiet beach, stunning clear water.

Bit run down but basic and get what you pay for, would still stay again. Construction going on at back producing bad smel, dust and smoke. We’re picked up from pier on arrival by boat and helped with bags however on day leaving weren’t offered any help and had to walk to the pier 20 mins away as orchid wasn’t running due to bad weather so keep that in mind if weather changes.

Good location

Very unclean. There was a maggot in the bathroom. Bed was uncomfortable, stained and had bugs on it. No proper lock on the door. Kept awake by construction next door and the roof sounded like it was going to cave in at one point with things dropping on it. Took ages to be served by staff for food. Average food. Did the job for 1 night but wouldn't recommend staying here.

Great little bungalow on Saracen beach, very close to everything.

The rooms are very basic and there is no hot water.

we were not picked up from pier as promised and had trouble communicating with Sweet Time Bungalow staff as they did not respond to emails and did not have WhatsApp.

Staff is very good. Good and value BBQ to go through.... Offers taxi boat service and other private options to reach anywhere, really good.

Budget bungalows/room are bery poor. Much better to choice expensive and big one.

Beach location with nice sized bungalow rooms with porch, and a hose for washing the sand off your feet before entry to your room. Good AC.

A cold shower (fine as it is hot weather) but it goes directly over the toilet. Thankfully the bathroom drained quite well. Only 2 coat hangers - would have liked more. Overpriced for what it is, just due to its island location.

Staff very friendly, decent accommodation along the beach. They do BBQs in the evening which is great value for money as well as a normal menu. We enjoyed the breakfast options.

Good value for money right on the beach. Basic but comfy rooms and a restaurant attached. Central along the beach. Good starting point for the amazing beaches on the other side of gje island that can be reached by 30 minute walk through the forest.

The beach in front can be narrow when the tide is up and the sea is rough, and is quite shallow for swimming.

Customer service is very poor, had no response from the resort at all! Would not recommend!

Was amazing value for money! Right on the beach and in perfect location for the island. The island is beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious and Johnny makes the best cocktails on the island!! Rooms were super clean and spacious! Would definitely reccomend and look forward to staying again! All the staff were really kind and helpful:-) thank you!

Great location and friendly owner

It’s the perfect location for a lovely island stay. It seemed like our room was newly renovated, everything was clean and worked well. It’s really good value for money, especially for an island! We were in a fan only room and it was more than sufficient to keep us comfortable. The staff are really lovely - we left an item behind and they’ve gone to a lot of effort to get it sent back to the mainland which is very much appreciated. They also dropped us off in their small boat at the pier so we could make our ferry on time. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was good

This island is paradise! Sweet time bungalows is in the centre of the bay right on a beautiful stretch of beach. The accommodation is located just behind the bar and is basic but clean with good air conditioning. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. They arranged our transport getting there from Phnom Penh, met us at the ferry pier with a small boat to avoid us having to carry bags across the sand and arranged our onward travel too. Good selection of food on the menu. Arranged a boat trip for us too to snorkel, fish and see plankton. I did not want to leave!

Nice ubication, in front of the beach. Nice bar/restaurant. They pick up and drop from any pier you need.

There are roosters outside, so don't pretend to wake up late. Futhermore, the AC was very noisy.

The location was fantastic, the staff were so kind and helpful they even booked us onto a boat trip! The food at the place was great and good priced you can pay on card too. The bed was comfortable and the Aircon worked well. I loved that we had a little patio to sit on too. The hotel compound was super clean and tidy too.

The rooms could do with a bit of updating, the bathroom especially. Our shower drain blocked easily and water didn't go down very well after the shower.

Family run (very important to support locals on the island as it’s being taken over by resorts). Very good value for money compared to other bungalows on the bay. Really central location, right in the middle of Saracen bay so lots of bars/restaurants next door. The food at their restaurant is really good, especially the pancakes for breakfast & the fresh fish in the evening. The accommodation was basic but had everything we needed, the bed was really comfy and AC helped a lot as it was very humid (first week of April). They arrange pickup by boat from the piers which is SO helpful as otherwise you have to walk along the beach with your stuff in the hottest part of the day! The owner is very happy to help with booking tickets for ferries & onward journeys to other places (PP/Siem Reap etc). There are a choice of loungers & comfy chairs at the front, lots of places only have tables to sit at so this was ideal. We would stay again.

Poor lighting in bathroom, the light didn’t make a difference as it was so dim but this is something minimal.

Our room’s AC had a problem. in a very hot island AC is very important. It took a while to fix and the staff seems bothered that we had to keep calling them to fix it. It got foxed eventually but not without grumble from the staff. We arranged for an early boat the next day and the staff even got annoyed that we tried to and said yeah he has been told earlier. Come the next day and there was no boat. and the staff were no show at all. The only good thing about this stay was it’s beachfront but there are other stays in this area that are also beachfront at same cost. so if you don’t want a headache just go with those.

Vers good place, very kind team

We knew where we were coming. The staff was nice and helpful, the food and drinks are good and the plankton tour was really good. The location is also super central and you have your feet in the water.

Our bungalow was the n⁰1 and it's the worst, pretty unequal compared to the other ones. The room should be better cleaned.

Independently owned unlike other non-Khmer owned, chain hostels on the island. The busier evening bars like Onederz can be accessed easily from here, but it's a lot more budget-friendly. It's not fancy but you get what you pay for, a good nights' sleep!

Our room was the only double with a smaller window, and the ones with the bigger windows looked a bit fancier. I'm not sure if they were the same price or not though.

The location was good

The room and bathroom were not very clean or seemed very old. No mosquito net for the bed and I think there were bed bugs. The room did not have an actual door lock but used a padlock instead.

I had a bungalow with air con which was necessary as it was very hot on the island overnight! The room was basic but fine, the location was amazing, right on the most beautiful white sand beach, with plenty of seating overlooking/on the beach, and other places to sit/eat/drink nearby.

Very expensive for what it was, and not worth the money paid. No hot water in the shower, basic room. Would’ve been great for half the price. The restaurant was only ok - I recommend going along the beach to the Big Easy to eat, where the food is much nicer & better priced.

The manager was rude. He didn’t send the pick up as requested and refused to do anything about 10 dollars I had to pay for a different pick up to bring me to the place with the luggage. When I had trouble with the lock of my door he was annoyed

Gorgeous bungalows right on the beach! We stayed in fan room and extended stay and moved into an aircon room which was worth the extra money! The rooms were spacious and all had little balcony areas. I would happily stay again if I’m lucky enough to revisit the island!

Excellent location right in the middle of the bay where there is a line of hotels with tables in the sand on the beach in the evening. The beach in this area is also kept nice and tidy, while elsewhere there are a lot of abandoned places after covid, and rubbish laying around. Very large and clean room and bathroom with a nice sitting area outside with a table and chairs. Tips: 1) If you intend to walk to or from the pier, try to arrive and leave during low tide! 2) do NOT miss out on seeing the stone carvings near Lazy beach.

The location on maps.me is wrong. It's further down the beach behind the restaurant of the same name. Shortly after booking, I got a message telling me to take a boat which is NOT running at all. to Orchard pier, which is in ruins, and looks like it has been for a long time. They said they would pick me up, but NOT if it was complimentary or not, or how much it costs. Prices not agreed on up front could come with an exorbitant price tag! Also they didn't tell me what they would pick me up with, Not all sorts of transport is ok for me. Information needs updating here. The room was perfectly fine for me, but seems overpriced as it had a bed, but nothing else, and only a cold water shower. WiFi was working everywhere, but at times it was painfully slow.
