Poor communication and long wait at the gate. The entrance to the venue is uncomfortable and difficult to drive on which also resulted in our car's bumper damage as the steep hill is too much

The guesthouse itself is beautiful. The view of the dam from the room was calming. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, fresh towels were provided. Sesi Thembi was very kind and welcoming. The location is ideal and close to shops and restaurants.

They ran out of muesli. Always good to have a back up.

Scatter cushions, bedside lamp need to be replaced.

We didn’t have a microwave in our room, so had to go to the kitchen to warm our food

The property is in a great location and has a beautiful view overlooking the dam.

Unfortunately, the power went out right as we were checking in and their backup generator was not strong enough or working in order to return power so we all had cold showers and spent our first 24 hours in the dark. We eventually had to end up, checking out and finding a new accommodations because the power was not going to be turned back on.

The location is great and the staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was nice, the bed was comfortable and the TV had a good selection of channels.

The parking was a bit difficult, definitely needs more lighting outside. We stayed in the Blue Room which needs some TLC. The water pressure in the shower needs fixing, and the hot water tends to come and go.

Towels and gowns (bath robes) were all frayed and had holes in them. I think for the standard price of R1400 p.n. new towels can be bought and the old ones thrown out. The lady charged us more for our massages saying that the prices on the list AND the website were "specials" and are not longer valid. I chose the 'neck , back and shoulder massage (30 min)' for R300 , then was told its R350. My partner chose the 'cleansing and relaxing back treatment (60 min)' for R400. He was still charged R400 for only 30min. Could someone please explain to me why this was ??? The Spa Treatments menu needs to be updated and bare minimum stated that it was only a "special" and not the official Treatment menu. Not only once we get there and would like to pay that suddenly the price has increased and the time half. This is false advertising. There were also no slippers provided for the spa.

The view towards the Dam

I was told that I am supposed to pay extra 600 for LATE COMING , in which i arrived at the Lodge just before 21:00. I flatly rejected that ,but was so disappointed ,first time ever i came across this since i became a member of booking.com morethan 10 years ago.I did not even know that Booking.Com has late arrival charges.

The room was not that clean. The bath was cracked at the bottom. The linen of the cushions was dirty. For us the amount we paid was not worth the room we got. We also had neighbours that were very loud with music playing. Overall this was a very bad experience and we ended up not even staying for the night.

La ubicación excelente, con vista a la presa, los cuartos cómodos, ideal para escapada romántica, el baño muy amplio.

El baño está comunicado con la habitación y no hay puerta que los separe, en este caso yo no iba con mi pareja, si no con una amiga, dificultó un poco la privacidad. El retrete al llenar el deposito continuaba tirando agua por alrededor de 5 minutos. En 2 ocasiones nos quedamos sin agua al estarnos bañando y en 1 de ellas no pude encontrar al staff para resolver el problema.

Main gate to Annie's was broken so had to enter and park at Stirling Manor. Not ideal. It made it a big hassle to walk to our suite which was directly above Annie's parking lot. Hopefully they will sort out the broken entry/exit gate ASAP.

The towers were old which makes them look untidy(not even ironed),shower not working well,the furniture looks old i actually think the whole place needs a revamp,it was not value for my money at all,they don't qualify to call them self a boutique 😢

The staff are amazing: Friendly, helpful, attentive, proactive and great Customer Service in general. The view is perfect and in the Blue Room the shower has an amazing view aswell - what an unexpected treat. We had a room upgrade and breakfast included through Booking.com.

Time to upgrade those bath and swimming pool towels. Also the lamp shades and a bit of paint here and there. This is overlooked by the incredible value for money and the excellent customer service.

Thambi and Stanley were the best, the breakfast was delicious, the view breathtaking.

I paid R1100 for a room that normally costs R1700 on specials. The room was Damp and smells of dampness, place is not on par and definite not worth the charging price. I cancelled our stay and moved next door to Stirling Manor which was exquisite". I would suggest that Annie Guesthouse declare these types of things when posting rooms. Other than posting the nice view to catch us knowing once you pay they wont pay u back

Very disappointing experience at Annie’s Boutique Guesthouse. I specifically booked and paid for a full dam-view room, but on arrival we were given a ground-level room with no view at all. The room itself was in poor condition: torn blankets, a TV that did not work, limited and unreliable WiFi, lights and a fan that were not functioning, faulty shower taps, and doors that did not lock properly. The pool was dirty and clearly not maintained. Breakfast was advertised as included, however no vegan or halaal options were available, which is unacceptable given today’s basic hospitality standards. The entrance and exit system requiring codes and meters was extremely inconvenient and added unnecessary frustration to the stay. Privacy was a major concern. While we were in the room relaxing, staff members opened our door and entered without permission to fix issues that should have been addressed before check-in or while guests were out. This was intrusive and uncomfortable. We requested to speak to a manager, yet no manager came, no apology was offered, and no accountability was taken. This reflects very poor management and customer service skills. Overall, this stay fell far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this guesthouse and would honestly rate it a zero if that were an option.

The location was not far from anemities.

We waited for 4 hours for our room to get ready. We could not use the swimming pool as it was dirty and the deck around the pool is broken in some places, which is not safe for guest and the same deck is a walkway.

staff were great, breakfast perfect but didnt start until 730 so if you book excursions make them later!

we had 3 rooms all different. One room the shower didnt work, or the TV. The one on the ground floor was nowhere near as nice as the ones around the pool that had a wonderful view but was priced the same.

My Man and I had a great time there and all thanx to Thembi and her 100% good customer service ❤️😊. We definitely coming back

The supply of room coffee, milk and sugar were very limited especially when you visit during cold weather seasons, please try and improve on the. Secondly make a plan to put microwave and iron in rooms. The gate is not working properly, especially when you leave it doesn't close it keeps on freezing, please look into it as well

The room i got had a wooden base and my weight its like 95kg so whenever I do movements the bed made sounds but then mattress was the best It will be best to also add microwave as a basic need
