Beautiful house, large and very nicely decorated. Lovely main bedroom with a comfortable bed. We also loved the shower, which is off the main bedroom. The house is very quiet and tranquil. Kitchen very well equipped. The house is tucked away on a quiet street but very near the centre and there is a Carrefour supermarket about a 5 minute walk away. Check in was very easy with the code.

The stairs are steep. Unfortunately I slipped and fell near the bottom of the main stairs and as there is no additional rail, I did hurt myself. I didn't break anything luckily but I'm pretty bruised! Because of this I would say to be very careful on the stairs, especially if you are elderly. The owner did turn up at the house 10 minutes before check out time which we found a bit disruptive, he mentioned a couple of things of things to us about the house (such as we accidentally left the lights on) which made us feel like he'd been watching the house whilst we'd been staying in it, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable.

The location, views, and most rooms were incredible. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. It was not cramped at all. Absolutely stunning in decor.

The washer/dryer is old and does not work well or fast. It is also very loud right next to the bed. Our clothes came out blue the first load we did. The next load took a very long time to dry. I do not believe this was user error, as we had used a similar (but new) washer/dryer at a unit before this one and had zero trouble. Also there were quite a few cobwebs throughout the home, and the shower tile and grout did not feel clean.

It’s exactly as per description, very well equipped and clean. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We opted to pay for his parking space in the secure garage on the same street, which was super convenient and well worth the cost.

A casa é super aconchegante, as roupas de cama são muito boas, a localização é ótima! A casa é muito confortável e melhor que nas fotos! As louças são lindíssimas , tudo de extrema qualidade e bom gosto!

Faltou água quente nas nossas últimas 12 horas de hospedagem. Apesar de prontamente terem ido até o local não conseguiram resolver e ficamos sem água. Solicitei um desconto pelo desconforto para a família e nos informaram que tinha água , só não tinha morna! Estava fazendo 9 graus . Então, nos concederam a taxa de turismo que temos que deixar em dinheiro 💴 na casa na saida. Achei a tratativa sem empatia e sem soluçao.

Tight stairs for 2nd and 3rd floors. Awkward that you have to enter through the bedroom to use the shower, which was narrow entry with no light.

Great location, central but quite. Cosy place, well equiped. Place was nice and warm which we appreciated as stayed in very cold days.

La casa es espectacular de bonita. Dispone de todo lo necesario (tostador, cafetera, calentador de agua, horno microondas,...), y además tiene lavadora secadora que nos vino de maravilla porque viajamos con un niño y una bebé que se ensució más que nunca. Está en pleno centro, así que no se tarda nada en llegar a los principales puntos de interés. Tiene dos bicicletas, a nosotros nos pusieron una cuna sin haberla solicitado y también tiene disponible una cama plegable. Dejaron abiertos dos cajones repletos de juegos, mi hijo se volvió loco y los ratitos que estuvimos en la casa estuvo súper entretenido. Además tiene un cuento de Brujas explicada a los niños en 3 idiomas diferentes que nos encantó. Brujas es precioso y gana encanto el viaje al quedarte allí a dormir y poder disfrutarla por la noche. Sin duda fué un acierto.

The property was really spacious with great facilities for cooking and the beds were very comfortable. It was in a quiet residential area but was just a few minutes walk from the main square. We met the host and he was very friendly and gave us some suggestions about where to eat.

Nothing, I liked everything about the property.

The location was the perfect spot to walk to the city circle.

Perfect stay for a group. Had plenty of space and all utilities we required. Easy to check in with code and short walk into city centre. Hosts were lovely. Would absolutely recommend.

FYI, Shower facilities are located in main bedroom.

Second visit here, which may tell its own story: this is a great place. Generous, well-lit space, well-equipped kitchen, big and comfy beds, great location for the centre of Bruges (10min walk to main square) but also quiet and near small but quite good supermarket (and a great local bar, the Red Hunter). Also great value compared to other properties of similar size and location.

Nothing, all good! (But worth knowing that the bathroom/shower is located off one of the bedrooms (toilet is separate and always accessible to everyone) and the upper bedroom is open to the stairs (but all other rooms have doors, so only to the stairs). We are a family group so this is fine for us but, like I say, worth knowing in case it matters more to you.)

The situation was great. A short walk to the historic centre and the bus to the station stopped at the end of the street. Historic and comfortable house.

Host was great. The property exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our family of 4 (9 and 12 year old kids). Amazing location, great kitchen.

Super fijn verblijf gehad in Hamiltonhouse. Voorzien van alle gemakken en perfecte locatie. Erg comfortabel bed!

Aandachtspunt zijn de trappen zonder extra leuning. Ook heeft de bovenste verdieping geen deur, dus onveilig voor kleine kinderen. Voor ons echter geen probleem, omdat de kleine nog in een ledikantje slaapt en hier ook niet uitklimt.

Місце розташування дуже зручне, доїхали на авто, зустрів власник. Дуже приємний, розказав детально інформацію де припаркувати авто, куди варто сходити і що відвідати. Помешкання старого будинку, але досить доглянуте в чисте. Є кухня, плита, мікрохвильовка, якщо хтось хоче готувати. Можна зробити собі чай/каву. Також є фен, пральна машинка, праска, все, що потрібно.

На усі три поверхи є лише один туалет і душ

Our host was extremely kind and responded to questions. Giving good recommendations. The kitchen and house on the whole was well equipped and was very comfortable. The location is superb for visiting Bruges. A short walk from everywhere, but quiet. One can catch a bus to the train station from one road away.

The shower takes a bit of organising ,as it one bedroom, but we knew that when we booked.

Outstanding location offering a short walk into central Bruges. Comfortable living and sleeping with a clean, functional kitchen.

No soap in the toilet sink for washing hands, and almost none in the bathroom sink. The bathroom has no door and adjoins the master bedroom, which proved challenging logistically for two adults and two teenage kids to navigate shower and dressing arrangements. Even a basic curtain across the bathroom enclosure for privacy would help.

Bathroom facilities not good for two couples

It was a perfect location. 5 min walk to the main square, but on a quiet street. It was comfortable and pretty, with many extras provided. Wonderful rainfall shower head. Everything was charming. Best rental experience.

Everything was perfect. The stairs are a little steep, but that seems to be the norm in Bruges. There were some beautiful Christmas ornaments dotted around which added to the ambiance. The owner called round after we had let him know we had arrived, just to check everything was ok. We would choose this property again ourselves.

Parking can be a challenge, park at a free carpark and use an Uber. About 11 euros.

The location of this property is perfect. Only a few minutes walk away from the centre of Bruges, and a 5 min walk from a local supermarket by the canal. Yet also private enough to be quiet and removed from the centre. We couldn't have asked for better. Inside, the property is beautiful. Set over 3 floors (toilet on middle floor landing), with two bedrooms (the shower and sink are ensuite for the large middle bedroom, therefore the upstairs bedroom guests need to walk through the middle floor bedroom to use it), and a good sitting area, dining area and small kitchen. Main bedroom had super king size (2 singles together). There is a (tiny) outdoor area and plenty of light. Having a door access code meant we didn't have to stress about keys. There were 2 TVs and the wifi was reasonably good. We didn't use them but there were also a couple of bikes. Lots of glasses, cutlery and a dishwasher too. A coffee machine, kettle, fridge (no freezer) and little oven/microwave was all we needed. It also felt a very safe area. It only took us around 20-30 mins to walk to the station with our luggage, through beautiful cobbled streets. We visited in October when it was between 14 - 22C, so had no problems with being hot or cold.

We would give this property 8.5 out of 10 (maybe 9). Some things cannot be changed - a 3 story house near the centre of Bruges has limits! For example, a small shared toilet on the landing, or having to access the shower through a bedroom. Not a problem at all for a family, although there is no door or curtain on the shower. The listing had some unusual things mentioned that weren't part of the apartment - for example, there is no hot tub and no balcony (there is a 3x2m enclosed outdoor area downstairs at the back of the house) and there is no coffee shop on-site. Some tiny things in the kitchen would be helpful, e.g. hooks to hang up dish towels. We also couldn't get the toaster to work. We also wished there was a guest book with basic instructions (e.g. the heating and how to use the microwave/oven, which is quite small, and more information about what can and can't be recycled) and it would have been nice to leave a thank you message with tips for the next guests. The main beds were a kind of foam mattress that you sunk into, but we slept well regardless. We would have liked a headboard for the bed, as it's against a stone wall. We didn't meet the host Raphael, but he left his number if needed. These negatives did not spoil an excellent holiday and we would return to this property in a heartbeat.

Great location for exploring Bruges. The area was very quiet and we felt safe. A lovely comfortable home from home.

Easy walks to all locations. This apartment was comfortable and a lovely place to land after the hustle and bustle of Brussels. My family wanted to stay longer than the 3 nights we had booked. Our host, Raphael, was wonderful too. He checked in on us to make sure we were doing well and had great answers to our questions. We had a wonderful time in Bruges and would highly recommend Hamiltonhouse.

Excellent property with lots of space and all facilities needed. Rafael was a great host and very responsive. We stayed as family of four with two teens, and had plenty space between us. Very comfy beds, great cooking and kitchen facilities and relaxing living space. Also perfect location for the town - 10 -15 mins walk from market square, shops, bars etc, but also situated in quiet street so no noise. Would definitely book this house again.

With 2 teenage girls another toilet /shower would have been handy but this really didn’t impact our stay, we just had to be organised in mornings!

We had a wonderful stay, and it felt like home away from home. Everything down to the smallest detail has been thought out. Excellent all round.

The location was central to the town, yet on a much quieter street. Great access to grocery, bridges, restaurants and all sites. The apartment was immaculate and very well maintained. The furnishings and decor were welcoming and stylish. The pictures don't do it justice. The host was accessible and did not put a lot of demands on departure--so easy!

Spiral stairs are steep, so be advised. Watch little ones and elderly. I loved the charm and character of the staircase, but I have balance issues. Just know to be cautious.

It felt like we were living in a friend's home. It was comfortable and complete . All the little details extra towels etc even though not needed was most appreciated. A very cozy feel with all the amenities of home. Quiet zone very close to the centre.

A lovely property situated within 5 mins walking of the main square in Bruges. Central to lots of great eateries and bars and yet a very quiet location. Feels like a home from home. Raphael was very welcoming.

The house was lovely, had everything we needed and was very comfortable and warm. The position is great for exploring Bruge. I would highly recommend this property.

If you want one room to be a twin make sure you ask the owner before you arrive as although the property is advertised as a twin and a double, both rooms were made up as a double. We fixed this easily tho but worth asking before so you don't need to worry when you arrive.

This place was amazing. Centrally located. Beautifully decorated, so Zen. Bright and airy. Lots of coffee and every kitchen gadget and supples you could ever need. Hated to leave. But adventure calls !

Absolutely nothing. LOVED this home.

Nicely furnished living room and dining room on 1st floor, very comfortable master bedroom on 2nd floor, adequate bedroom on 3rd floor. Raphael, the host, was easy to communicate with, and offered suggestions about Bruges. He provided 2 bikes for our use, and we easily rented 2 more, and had a marvelous bike ride to Damme (5 mi away) and Sluis (5 mi further). along a canal and in the beautiful Belgian countryside. Fans provided for the summer heat. House is in a great location.

We were 4, our 2 granddaughters were in the bedroom on the 3rd floor, and we took the master bedroom. The shower was on the other side of the master bedroom, and so, was reachable by others only by walking through the master bedroom. A toilet and sink were located on a landing outside of the master bedroom, where it was accessible from either bedroom.

It was a very comfortable and well-furnished apartment that was also perfect for our travel situation with two bedrooms. The location was great, with easy access by bus to the train station, and elsewhere by foot.

The steep narrow stairway was a little bit of a challenge for my spouse who had recently injured her knee, but it was only a minor inconvenience for us. People with serious mobility issues will probably want to know that is the only way up to either of the bedrooms.

Location of property was good. Fairly comfortable although not very clean.

The host of this property was extremely rude and racist which was unfortunate. This host has particularly prejudice against people from the UK and made it awkward to leave our bags for a few hours after checkout so we chose not to. They stated that ‘people from the UK’ were untrustworthy and reckless. Rafaelle is happy to take your money but not so easy to make your stay pleasant so be warned. Property was not cleaned thoroughly with earring butterfly found in the bed and several variety of hairs in the toilet. Not pleasant with groups of more than 2 as only 1 toilet and a shower in one of the bedrooms that doesn’t have a door.

The owner was very helpful and let us leave our bags at the property a couple hours after checkout to suit our schedule better.
