Fabulous stay. Pictures don't do this place justice. The perfect getaway in Kinsale, right in the centre minutes from everything. Ruth was also very kind to accommodate us throughout our stay.

Very close to the city center. Well stocked kitchen with a washer and dryer. Clean and comfortable. Had a nice sitting area off the back. Despite being hot out, house stayed cool.

Check out at 10:00am seems a bit early. Beds were comfortable but didn’t use a flat sheet which we enjoy. Pillows were also a bit flat which took away from the sleeping experience.

Located near town

The property was nice but did evolve being able to walk steep hill or steps to get to shopping.

Location was perfect. The apartment was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a wonderful visit to Kinsale. Our bus to Kinsale was late arriving, and Ruth was very kind to meet and help us get us settled after a frazzled travel experience.

While not a problem for our group, access to the apartment does require climbing the stoney steps which is 107 steps, or an alternative route with a steep hill. This could be problematic for guests with mobility issues.

Loves the townhouse and the location was great! Ruth was very helpful and accommodating!

Cozy home

We struggled with the hot water, washer/dryer and stove/oven. As foreigners we were not familiar with the operation of the appliances. Note cards with instructions would be very helpful. A working coffee maker would be appreciated.

The host was available to help when we got a bit lost around the town

Fantastic location. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Living area was spacious and comfortable. Ruth was helpful in directions and keys. Pictures on listing are very accurate.

Was disappointed in the cleanliness. Smelly messy garbage was left in the small garbage can in the kitchen and dishwasher was full. We did not know if the dishes were clean or dirty. Although not the owners fault, neighbor parked their car half into our parking space so we had to park down at the pier our second night.

Literally steps from everything!! The location is excellent!! The owner Ruth was so helpful and lovely!!

The master bedroom was perfect but the other bedroom was not really suitable for adults, better suited to a family with young children

This was a wonderful place. I can't imagine a better location. It even had a full washer and dryer and they provided soap. The view was also nice. Ruth met us at check-in and gave us lots of tips about the town.

Location was great, could not be better. The home was modern and very tidy. All the facilities we needed were there. Communication was superb and our local contact was very generous with time.

We advised we were close to arriving and Ruth had kindly put the heating on, Xmas treats on the table and advised the door was unlocked with key on the table. 20 minutes after arrival Ruth came by to ensure we had settled in, had everything we needed and showed us how everything worked. So lovely.

Great location within walking distance of anything you could need in Kinsale. Lots of restaurants and shops a short walk away.

Great location, the house was ideal for our needs. With a bonus of washing facilities. The conservatory was nice. Everything we needed was there.

The dirty dish sponge, there was no cloth to wipe the kitchen bench. A little extra attention to cleaning would be ideal, as well as the mattress & pillow covers.

Directions to the place could be improved, as there are many #2s on Higher O’Connell.

This place was perfect for our family trip in Kinsale. The place is pretty much like the pictures. Location was awesome. You could just walk to all kinds of restaurants and places. We would stay here again if we revisit Kinsale.

would have like to have been able to bring a pet dog and kept her outside. check out time was a little early at 1000hrs but other than that, great location and nice people to deal with. House was perfect.

We made our own breakfast... Location could not have been more perfect -- up high, with a view of the town and its rooftops, and the water... but right out our down was the staircase down to the center of town. If your goal is to explore Kinsale but also have a bit of remove and quiet, you couldn't do better.

Often rentals have at least a few kitchen staples on hand -- salt and pepper, ketchup, coffee, cooking oil, etc. It would be nice to have these available, to facilitate some cooking

It is such a cute property. It is very clean, is so nicely decorated, and very close to everything.

The check in instructions could be a little more clear, but we quickly got in touch with someone who was able to tell us exactly where it was and how to get in.

Nespresso machine did not have any pods We had an ant infestation on the sun room sliding doors , we dealt with it using ant spray & the vacuum

Excellent location, Ruth the caretaker was lovely and friendly.

The communication, check in instructions and parking instructions are very poor via the booking.com messaging. We were using a different phone number as we are overseas and we didn’t know how to get in and messaging the owner (I think) via booking.com was useless because they just gave us the caretakers phone number again (which we couldn’t call using our phone). The caretaker had called our other number. Also note that maps won’t take you to the correct location. I think these processes need to be streamlined and there needs to be clear communication from the outset.

The address listed in Booking.com was incorrect, so it took us a bit to figure it out. We alerted the manager so that should be resolved going forward.

Everything we needed, plenty of towels, comfortable beds. All the things you need with children, washer, dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker etc etc. location was brilliant, literally 2 minutes down stoney steps and you in the centre by the harbour…..and pubs…….lots of pubs 😀

The property had been superficially cleaned, the kitchen surfaces were wiped, the bathrooms had been cleaned and the sheets were changed. The decor although not new was tastefully done.

The house suffers badly from damp, there was black mould over the walls and ceiling in both bedrooms and the en-suite bathroom. The main bedroom had mould on the lampshades and blinds and there was paint peeling from the walls. The toilet seats were badly fitted and the wooden sink surround in the en-suite was black with mould. The blind in the children’s bedroom was broken and many of the lightbulbs throughout the house were not working. When we arrived there were food crumbs on the sofa and the table cloth was dirty, there was old cooked rice all around the table. The cupboards in the kitchen were all full so there was nowhere to store our food. The crockery and cutlery was not clean and we had to wash up what we needed before we could use it. There was out of date, unusable food left in one cupboard. In addition to this there were no usable mirrors in the house - the one in the main bedroom was just balanced on the floor so far too low, all the clocks in the house were wrong and the bedside tables in the main bedroom had the paint peeling off, presumably due to the damp.

The check out time is very early and doesn't feel value for money. We however were very grateful to be allowed to leave our bags as it was pouring.

We loved this location in Kinsale. The property is incredible, with lovely views of Kinsale. We loved relaxing in the living room as a family, or sitting out on the sun porch. The location was fantastic - all of Kinsale right at your doorstep. Rita was very nice, providing directions to us over the telephone when we arrived at the wrong location. Beds were supremely comfortable, and there was no noise at all so we got great sleep. We appreciated the books in the unit, a couple of which we used as bedtime books for my 3 year old. (It's hard to travel with enough books to keep a kid entertained for weeks!) I would recommend this property to anyone as the perfect way to see Kinsale.

I wish the directions to the trash bins (to empty the household trash on check-out) were written down somewhere in the unit. Rita very nicely described how to access them when we checked in, but I forgot some details between check-in and check-out and it took us a while to find them. Very minor thing though. I worried a little about the long staircase if our 3 year old decided to leave his room at night, but ultimately wasn't a problem. Overall, a lovely property.

There were only two things that were small issues. The bunk bed for children needs to be changed for safety reasons. The other small issue was parking was tight but we know that is outside your control. Thanks

Online pictures matched properly exactly. One bedroom had private bath so that was great View from back patio was of they city Very quiet

The streets are very narrow so parking can be an issue.

Location was excellent.

I booked for 2 nights for 5 people. booking.com had a glitch in the system that they admitted to this and emailed me confirming. The property owner thought it was for 2 people. But it took over 6 hours on the phone to booking.com and 3/4 phone calls to the property owner to sort this. The property owner then requested a €2,000.00 deposit or they would refuse to take us. We booked this back in September of 2022 and this all came to light the day beforehand. one of the most stressful experiences and unsatisfactory customer service I have had in my life. spoiled what was supposed to be a good weekend.
