Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Loved the character of the property. Beds were comfortable and there were a good selection of cleaning products/toiletries which we didn’t expect.
There were lots of maintenance jobs that were very simple to resolve but we felt were neglected. Walls marked, pictures hung at different levels, stair banister half painted/not finished and lots of other repair jobs to plasterwork that were left tatty or unfinished. The top floor shower didn’t consistently produce water and leaked onto the floor when it did work. The only communal sofa was broken and sloped in different directions, separating in the centre.
Clean bedding and beds quite comfortable and hosts did their best
Came back first afternoon to find water all over the floor where the fridge freezer had a leak. Boiler failed so no hot water was rectified by the host but endured two days of workmen coming in and out. The top bathroom was mouldy and smelt awful highlighted in previous reviews also No pool cues and no darts until the last day of our visit this has been highlighted in other reviews from a year ago Washing machine broke so unable to wash clothes which for for a family of seven with limited hand luggage was a must Fly infestation in top bedroom The property offers courtyard views. I can only say that this was a hazardous dangerous area containing filths and rubbish, including cigarette ends. Again highlighted in review reviews from over a year ago. Flooring needs attention as do the stairs. I nearly fell down as rickety. Again highlighted in previous review reviews. The owner did their best to rectify these matters but it caused us a lot of stress and worry, especially as we were there for a World Cup dance competition They promised some compensation on further consultation both with Booking.com and the owners this has been refused and my message has gone unanswered
Nice place for big companies at very reasonable price
We had a wonderful stay at the Four Sisters in Dublin and would easily give it a 9 out of 10. It’s a charming place that truly felt like a home away from home. What we loved: - The Atmosphere & Staff: The hosts were incredibly welcoming, warm, and full of great local tips. - Location: Perfectly situated for exploring Dublin. We could walk/quick uber drive to most of the main attractions, yet it was tucked away enough to offer a peaceful retreat from the city rush. - Cleanliness & Comfort: The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and the beds were comfortable.
The only reasons we aren't giving it a perfect 5-star rating are just small things. First, the building is a bit thin-walled, so you can occasionally hear footsteps or muffled conversations from the hallway, neighboring rooms and especially from above. Second, the bathrooms were a bit unusual and quite small, but manageable. Lastly the billiard table in the common area was a bit old, wobbly and slightly broken which made playing a proper game a little tricky.
Location Large house Great fast communication from the owner All facilities were in good condition
2 kitchen situation was odd and felt like cooking involved both and carrying stuff up and down stairs
The house was very clean, looked exactly as shown in the pictures. The downstairs entertainment area was brilliant and looked great with the old stone walls. Great for a weekend away as a group of adults but would also be great with kids as well. It was in a great location and really easy to get to everywhere we were going. The house was modern and well set up. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Unfortunately shower heads were quite loose and would get water everywhere and the drains smelt really bad. They would just need a good flush out. There was a small outside space out the back of the house but it was so messy and just let the house down for how great the rest of it was. It would need cleared out of rubbish and the old bath removed, leveled and even some stones thrown down and it would make it look so much better and wouldn't cost alot to do.
Brilliant house, perfect of a larger group like ours! Toilet on each floor which was very handy. Real quick walk to the centre. The house itself is set in such a quiet and quaint area. It was also incredibly clean and lovely, filled with amenities we used to make ourselves a lovely breakfast. Honestly made it hard to see Dublin as we didn't want to leave the house!!xxx
The communication with the host, the stylish ambiente, the facilities.
Beds could have been bigger, and the stairs need to be repaired
Everything!
Nothing!
Close to the centre so taxis were cheap, we were all able to stay under the same roof as a group amd the games downstairs were really cool, decent spread of toilet facilities. The lock box was extremely helpful and host was very good with communication 😊
Perfect location, very spacious. Immaculately clean. Perfect family entertainment. Comfortable beds
Geräumige Unterkunft für bis zu zehn Personen Betten für zwei Personen jedoch eher schmal Zimmer hübsch eingerichtet Ganzes Haus für sich allein Billardtisch 2x Küche, drei Badezimmer Authentisches Wohnen im Originalhaus Einfacher Check in Checkout Ruhige Gegend Zu Fuß in 25 Minuten an Half Penny Bridge Dekoration und Inneneinrichtung Guter Ausgangspunkt die Stadt zu erkunden.
Wohnbereich und Küche im Souterrain. Gemeinschafts eher klein. Badezimmer klein. Jedoch das Beste draus gemacht und geht nicht in die Bewertung ein.
Family environment, large space. The house has many rooms and a pleasant atmosphere. It is close to the city center.
That it accommodates a party of 9, the rooms were of a good size and worked really well for us.
Near the centre of Dublin
The Cost of parking outside of house
Lovely property, perfect for 10 people and had everything we could need
There are only 2 bathrooms with sinks in and 1 of them is an en-suite. This made it a bit tricky in the mornings with 10 people, but is a minor inconvenience. We had a fantastic time!
Convenient location, spacious, lovely place , clean
Perfect location close to Croke Park. Great for groups. Well stocked kitchen with glasses and plates etc
The property is tired cosmetically and could do with some maintenance. Lack of bins, bedside lights
Super cute cozy house! Nice area at the bottom floor with place for everybody. Check in and check out were easy, and the host answered very fast. Only the bathrooms are a bit tiny. But absolutely fine.
Mooi ingericht huis
Location was Deadly for the game in Croke park and they put cones outside the house as to save us a car parking space and it is only a 4 min walk to the pitch
The house was lovely, very comfortable and they used every inch of it well
Good for a big group with many rooms and 3 bathrooms Clean bed linen
Dublin is very small so it's easy to walk to the centre but the neighbourhood where the house is located is not nice. Rubbish and people on the streets. The conversion of the house is DIY so a lot of doors don't close, paint work is poor, etc...There's very little light in the dining and play areas. The garden needs a lot of work.
Beautiful decor. Spacious bedrooms. Good location. It is a lovely place to stay for a group in Dublin.
There are issues with the locks on the bedroom doors of the two bedrooms nearest the entrance door. One is locked shut so this room can only be accessed by walking through the other bedroom - so be mindful of this if all of your group needs privacy. The other door does not close at all. We had to use an ornament to keep the door closed while we were sleeping. I’ve seen the issue with the door locks mentioned in other reviews. This should be fixed. It wouldn’t rake very much for the owners to do this before other guests also have to report it as an issue. Also checkout is at 11:00. Cleaning staff walked into the property at 10:58 so be prepared.
Excellent communication with Karina prior to arrival. 5 bedrooms for our family of 6. Excellent water pressure & rain head shower. Heavy comforter - with no top sheet. Allowed us to store luggage early.
Many bugs noted in first bedroom. Musty smell. Difficult trying to use the washer/dyer. Would have been helpful to have directions.
There were enough rooms for the whole family. It was quaint.
A little far away from attractions. Could use some basic maintenance (painting, bedroom door wouldn’t stay shut, another bedroom door wouldn’t unlock)
The place was lovely and classic style, easy taxi everywhere in town and just what our group of 8 needed. Comfy beds, walkable area nearby for coffee and grocery.
None of the pool sticks had tips on them and there were only 3 serviceable darts. We like these games so it was unfortunate to not be able to use the pool table.
5 bedrooms, big kitchen and the social area
Began and ended our first trip to Ireland at “Four Sisters” with my adult children, spouses and my grandson- 10 in all! House accommodated us all comfortably! House is quaint (400 yrs old!) very clean and neat with modern kitchens and bathrooms. Good location close to everything but not in the middle of all the downtown noise! Excellent communication with owners.
Bathrooms were a bit small- but found that throughout Ireland!
Perfect size for 10 people and the facilities were really great. Rooms were really roomy and comfortable.
Gorgeous house on a quiet street with everything you Need and more.very comfy beds and a very good space to cook eat and socialise.
The showers didn't get very warm.
Everyone had their own space due to the ample # of bedrooms.
We wish there had been a way to close the front door without having to lock it. Same with our bedroom door. We couldn't close it unless we locked it.
Four Sisters is a great place 20min walk to centre of Dublin. Communication with the owner was great. She went out of her way to help us. Description doesn’t do the property justice. Game of pool and darts in the fully equipped playroom downstairs was a highlight. Plenty of essentials provided. A Dublin highlight for our group.
The location was perfect. Wallaces Asti restaurant is nearby - highly recommend. The house was stunning with so many extra things. The teens loved the dart board and pool table. 2 kitchens, bedrooms were lovely. Beds super comfortable, and area was quiet. Got a great night's sleep. Will definitely stay again if available when we travel. Not expensive for all you get here. Communication was excellent and so quick and helpful to reply to any questions. Thank-you for sharing your lovely home
Nothing to dislike. Everything surpassed expectation
The number or bedrooms and washrooms were a bonus for our adult family. The Nespresso coffee maker was a godsend each morning. The hosts were great and easy to contact and helpful. The photos online were accurate and the rooms were all very large.
I wish there was a comfortable lounge room to chat in the evenings with family after all the walking/touring. After a week the stairs seemed endless. But we definitely got our daily steps in.
It fulfilled the brief of having the five bedrooms that we required for 8 adults and 2 children. The beds were comfortable and three of three bedrooms were spacious. We liked the games room/ dining space but only a two seater settee for relaxing present.
• The ‘bathrooms’ were very snug and only two of them had handwashing facilities which were small basins. The one on the basement floor just had a shower and toilet but unusually a towel. Would have been a good idea to have some hand gel. • would have been useful to have had an advice handbook of instructions for the house as the underfloor heating in the basement was too hot to stand on in the morning of Friday/instructions on rubbish disposal/recycling as well as some useful advice on facilities close by. • we were grateful for the ‘travel cot’ being assembled as requested but there wasn’t a mattress just a base and although bedding was provided it was unsafe for a 6 month old baby. We managed to improvise. • we stayed in the large master bedroom at the back of the house and were surprised to not have any bedside lights to read or get in and out of bed by.
Beautifully presented house, very warm and welcoming as were the owners. Couldn't have asked for anything more,
Perfect.
I couldn’t have liked the house more, I’d move in permanently tomorrow! Charming, pretty, plenty of beds, 2 kitchen spaces, pool table, courtyard, it had everything we needed and only 15 minute walk from the thick of everything. I never return to a property as I like to experience different places each time but with this house I would return tomorrow. Hosts are friendly, helpful and responsive, they really know how to look after their guests.
The house was beautiful! The pictures really didn't do it justice. The downstairs dining and pool area was great to have dinner and chill out, and the kids loved the selection of games. The host was fantastic and responded to all queries straight away, giving advice for takeaway etc. The house is a 15 minute walk from Connolly Station and has an off license, shop, and chemist less than 5 minutes from the house. All bedrooms were very spacious, and the beds themselves were comfortable. A small few adjustments and this place would be perfect 👌🏼.
The courtyard has steep stairs to outside, so possibly a little rail to make it easier accessible. One of the guests dropped her earring under the bed and said it hadn't been cleaned under there in a while. Personally, I would add a 2nd hairdryer to the property and maybe some washing liquid.
The property was great! Exactly what we needed
Nothing!
This was a great property with modern kitchens and bathrooms! It was all very clean
Basement for a group snooker or darts. Extremely friendly host. All Irish are extremely friendly by the way.
Not really safe for parking a car outside. Best to put it in a parking. But inside it was really ok.
Large property with good facilities
Struggled with heating controls in basement
The communal areas
nothing
The space throughout the house in the different bedrooms and the basement is great. Enough space for individual space but also enough space to hang out with ten guys to watch a movie or just relax. The set up with a bathroom on each floor is also great.
The bathrooms are a bit tiny for people above 1,80 the showers on the other hand have enough space and are comfortable.
It was beautifully renovated with tasteful decor, lovely and warm, all the appliances were top quality, everything was spotless and the beds were very comfortable.
We would have liked a lounge where we could sit and chat in the evenings rather than a room with a pool table. We would have liked a bedside lamp for reading, lock on the toilet door, a welcome pack with leaflets and instructions for the house. I had to contact the owner a few times with questions.
Was very comfortable and exceptional
Nothing
Four Sisters was the perfect property to accommodate a larger group. I travelled with 10 of my friends and there was plenty of space - with 3 bath/ shower rooms, 2 kitchens and spacious bedrooms with lots of cupboard space. The basement area is great with a pool table and large dining table for everyone. The location was good, around a 20 minute walk into town, there isn't lots to do in the immediate area but you can easily get about so that wasn't a problem. The communication with Karina the host was excellent, she was very responsive and helpful and sorted any issues we had very quickly. I would definitely recommend this property.
Historical Clean Well located for city Spacious
Lots of stairs and I had broken my foot Small bathrooms
Location
The keys were an issue Didn't work people couldn't leave at different times No garbage collection
Lovely decor, property looks good. Feels like it has recently been renovated. Comfy beds.
Lacked the basics, couldn’t find and ironing board/hairdryer, limited tea and coffee - 3 pods for a group of 10 of us. Not much near the property, a good 25 minutes into town. Also sensors above beds light up every time you move and kept waking us up throughout the night. Front door needs to be locked when inside otherwise it opens - means if there is a group and someone goes back the property they have to wait up to let others in.
Bedrooms - four as advertised. Nice old townhouse.
Sketchy area. Felt uncomfortable at night. Pool table not worth the space - would rather have family sitting area.
The home is beautiful and comfortable. The location is good as well. If looking for a full home rental it was ideal.
The Wi-Fi was a little spotty on the top floor of the home but otherwise alright. (Three of the bedrooms are on the top floor). One of my colleagues had difficulties locking the door with the key but I had no issues.
Perfect location, house spotless and so spacious. Will definitely be booking again
The location was a little farther from the town center than we expected but still walkable. The area was a little sketchy felt safer in a group.
The house was beautiful. I wish the little courtyard had been cleaned up. If the walls were repaired there could put some love climbing roses or other plants in there. Maybe a slate patio rather than the weeds and an old bathtub. Not a deal breaker , just a missed opportunity. .it would have been great if the main floor bath was accessible to all rather than one bedroom. Then just little things like some liquid dish soap and a dish towel.
Perfect location and incredible house, the pictures don’t do it justice! Ideal for groups and had a great social aspect that we loved. Great essentials provided in the kitchen and host was great!
Somewhat lack of toiletries that said would be provided
Big spacious bedrooms, good communal areas, comfy beds
The upstairs bathroom was a bit of a pain, the sink against the wall is very small so it sprayed water when you used it.
The location was great, and it was a very nice and tidy place
nothing at all
The location was perfect and the house was very comfortable. A great find for our group.
beautiful house really charming and well decorated. we had a very pleasant stay with our family. Karina was very helpful and answered very quickly to our questions.
A bit far from city center, but the bus stop is very close, so not really an issue. At least the house is very quiet.
location, historical, clean, safe, unique, super comfortable, WiFi, well-appointed kitchen, pool table and dart board. harrows floors were fascinating. great job updating the property. Street parking. attentive manager.
not a thing. liked everything
The interior of the house was like a home from home. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable.
Nothing. It was a perfect house for the weekend.
