Home away from home. Comfortable beds, clean and spacious unit that had everything we needed and more. The welcome treats were a much appreciated touch. Being able to pick delicious apples and collect free range eggs was such a treat! The kids also loved the trampoline and swimming pool. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Absolutely perfect and professional!

Total fuss free stay, lovely cabin, had everything we could need and more. Chocolate, eggs, milk, some drinks, extra towels, easy parking. Cabin was clean, comfortable bed and nice outdoor space with BBQ. Location great as in between Nelson and Abel Tasman.

The location the accommodation it was top notch and how attentive the owners were when we needed help to light the oven. One of the stairs were broken mentioned it to the owners and they had a builder fix it next day. I will come back again to this accommodation the little touches like a box of chocolates fresh eggs milk cans of fizz beer cider and milk was appreciated. There was also tea coffee salt pepper all the little things you needed. The unit was spacious very clean great and plenty towels. The closed in fence meant we could let our dogs run in the garden. The laundry facilities were beautiful no need to pay to get laundry washed and dried and there was washing powder to use. All in all a brilliant place to stay we were there for a week with our two dogs and elderly parents

Maybe a soft chair along with the sofa not enough room for four people to sit on sofa. The chairs round the table would be a bit hard to sit on for a long time. Maybe the owner could get two soft fold away chairs

We loved our stay! The units are a great setup and fully fenced for our two dogs, such a bonus!! We can't wait to come back!

We loved the location, so quiet and peaceful in nature felt like we were on holiday. Beautiful surroundings. The heated pool and trampoline was great to have to use fur the kids. The extra treats in the fridge was a really nice touch that we enjoyed. Great shower. Loved the outdoor area and lawn for kiddos to place on.

The fridge was quite small for a family. Would have been tricky if we were staying longer than a few days. A jug of cold water would have been great. For me the bed was way too firm.

Our chalet was clean, comfortable and contained everything we needed. The milk, refreshments and fresh farm eggs in the fridge was a real treat! We had a great stay!

We really enjoyed the lovely clean modern facilities and using the outdoor furniture. The beds were really comfortable and the swimming pool was excellent. Great touches with the chocolates, drinks and eggs and also the ability to wash and dry laundry in the separate area.

Not much that can be improved except - a mirror in the main bedroom. We did find the couch low and a bit uncomfortable.

Quiet location with everything we needed. Loved the fruit trees and the fact that it was fully self contained. Guest laundry was a bonus, as was the pool. Loved that we could shut the gate onto our own yard. Beds were very comfortable, loved the shower dome in the bathroom.

The whole thing is good. However, the shower is amazing, I loved the little touches like free fresh chicken 🐔 eggs! Chocolate biscuits, some drinks, and lovely coffee ... and the energy was so peacefully secure it was easy to be totally relaxed 😌 🙌

If I had to pick, it would be the book of information that was in the unit with the black color case 🤔 it was ripped and the information could be structured better maybe with a nice colorful case round it ...I did love this place

It was very comfortable.. felt home away from home and to top it all they provided us with some complimentary eggs and milk for our breakfast.. very neat and clean and peaceful stay … definitely if we have another visit to Nelson we will stay there only …

Nothing I can think off

Fresh farm eggs and grapefruit for breakfast were excellent. The Aucklanders hadn't seen eggs that colour naturally for ages! The shower pressure was amazing. Fully fenced with chicken wire was just the best for our non-shedding knee high dog, she loved the grass, spent so much time rolling on it. Plenty of parking made it easy for our few guests who visited. Short run to supermarket. Easy drive to airport and the venues we needed. And a quick get away south out of town!

The only suggestion we had was perhaps having four king single beds in one unit/hut so adult siblings/cousins don't have to face the prospect of sharing a bed - it didn't work when we were kids! However the sofa was more than comfortable.

I loved the night we stayed here in this accomodation. The place was lovely and clean. The nice bonus of a free drink and some chocolate biscuits was much appreciated after the long day we had driving from Christchurch and then having the roads closed due to flooding this place was the best place to stay for the night. Also the free range eggs in the fridge were amazing. I had to go and look for the chickens in the morning and thank them for the eggs and of course I patted one! Cheers Sharlene Nash

Nice modern units with everything you need for a stay. The complimentary items in the fridge were a bonus and the kids loved going looking for eggs in the hen house. We will definitely be back to stay again.

everything! The space, layout, property, furnishings, peace, surroundings. Was great to have a lovely outdoor setting with table, BBQ and space.

We arrived to a lovely welcome of fresh eggs, drinks and chocolate! The House was immaculate, heaps of towels, everything we needed. Beds super comfortable, kitchen well appointed and very private. We all loved the swimming pool, laundry facility and the fruit trees!

The owner is extremely helpful and friendly with swift communication and provided not only tea coffee oil etc but also eggs milk chocolates and beer . You have a beautiful pool and fully equipped laundry at your disposal . The beds are very comfy and the shower is heaven with excellent pressure. The unit is modern and clean and only 7min drive to Richmond

Literally the only thing is the yard is not 100% dog proof ( little dogs) as is missing wire around the side so we had a few escapes

Easy instructions and easy entry

The place is amazing we stumbled upon this place when we were passing through earlier in the year and had said we would now make this our vacation spot. We love going there, especially with the added pool and farm-like feel. This place is what we needed to be able to relax and unwind from our busy day-to-day lives. Hopefully, we can visit again soon.

Excellent facilities, very comfortable and warm. The cottages were very roomy and had everything we needed including dishwasher and heated towel rails. Thanks so much for treats. Thoroughly recommend. Very quiet and peaceful.

Liked that it was a well equiped kitchen with welcome drinks and chocolates. You had your own grassy area that included a rotary clothes line.

Could not see any of countryside did not feel out of city. Each unit looks at the next. For this unit the outside dining was overlooked by double storied property on the fence line. Not private.

Really great set up for a family, very confy beds and extremely clean and tidy. Would recommend to family groups.

No instructions for using the tv and it seemed that someone was else was logged into the system , we managed to get on Netflix but this went off at 10pm, again it seemed like someone else was using the account. The fire alarm went off while cooking breakfast despite having the fan on full and all the windows and door open.

Great location, handy to Richmond. Welcoming treats in the fridge much appreciated. Fresh eggs were brilliant and the pool was much used.

It was a big surprise to find the fridge stocked with drink,eggs and treats. There was an ample number of towels . A pool and free laundry, what more would you want. Great value for money.

This is our 3rd time staying at Country Retreats....in the 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom accommodation finding all the extra touches (fresh eggs, biscuits, juice and beers & toiletries) that you never find anywhere else a very generous touch!! The unit was very clean and with all the home comforts! Very quiet but also a handy spot to travel from. Will definitely be back. Thank you again

Everything was amazing. Nice touches like drinks and biscuits on arrival, the facility felt like it was brand new and had everything we needed including big bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner and kitchen staples. Outdoor area was beautiful too!

The position was excellent for visiting family members. overall we found the place fantastic and appreciated the eggs and welcome gifts in the fridge.. When there was a problem with the gas oven, the manager quickly sorted it out. Some great meals were cooked on the barbeque outside.

Perfect accommodation for our weekend away at a show. So nice and warm and fantastic to have our four legged babies able to relax in our own private yard.

Wow we were so happy with this accomodation, it was perfect for our family of 4 for the night great location comfy beds Netflix for the kids even a full kitchen was such a nice touch to come in an have free range eggs there was coffee an milk an complementary drinks for us all , that's what made this place stand out above the rest ! we will definitely recommend to friends an family an we will be back to stay next time we come to nelson ☺️
