Drumgowan House

Our family (made up grandparents, parents and 2 young children) stayed at Drumgowan House for 2 nights and we couldn’t recommend it enough! Paul met us at the property and briefly showed us around explaining how everything worked. The home is lovely, spacious, comfortable and clean. Probably the best stay we have had in our 4.5 weeks of traveling the UK and Ireland. Everyone was happy and no one was eager to leave! The property and surroundings were lovely and peaceful, we left feeling completely refreshed. It was incredibly homely. A perfect cosy country setting. The property is situated a couple of kilometres from Donegal, a 5 minute drive away. Do yourself a favour and spend some time here! You won’t regret it!!

Very spacious house, clean, and comfortable bedding

Ost wating waiting for us when we arrived. Showed us how to use everything. Property was spotless and anything you need was there. Milk butter and bread left for us in arrival. Like a home away from home. Would highly recommend but you would need a car to commute 😊

V tomto krásnom dome s prekrásnou záhradkou sa nám páčilo úplne všetko. Dom bol pekný, priestranný, čistý. Kuchyňa vybavená. Pán domácí nám tam pripravil aj mlieko do kávy, samozrejme kávu, čaj, cukor, ale aj maslo, lekvár a ešte ďalšie potraviny boli k dispozícii. Krásna velká jedáleň i obývacia izba. Internet fungoval dobre. Dúfam, že aj on bol spokojný s námi, že sme všetko zanechali vporiadku.

Trocha sme zo začiatku si museli zvyknúť na zapínanie kúrenia.

We stayed 2 nights at Drumgowan House. We loved its situation in a very peaceful area at 5 min by car from Donegal. A beautiful garden. The house is large, comfortable with everything one can expect from a family house. 5 large bedrooms, very well equipped kitchen, living room and dining room looking at the garden. We had a great time .

We had a great stay at Drumgowan House. Our host was in touch the day before with instructions and was on hand if we needed anything. The house is large, with plenty of room in the lounges and bedrooms. The house was spotlessly clean, there was milk in the fridge and tea/coffee in the kitchen. Wi-Fi was fast, the beds were comfy and the showers were hot! The house is in a quiet, peaceful valley, but a short 4 minute drive or 8 minute cycle into Donegal town, so close by the buzz.

Very nice home to stay in.

It was located close to Donegal town. The house itself was big and beautiful. Everything we needed was there it was like going from home to home.

Such a beautiful property, a modern exterior and traditional interior set in lovely quiet surroundings. We had everything we needed for a wonderful 3 day stay. 7 minute drive to the centre of Donegal which is a great little town. Would definitely stay again.

When we arrived there Thurs evening, Paul was there to meet us. He had the heating on and the stove lighting. It was brilliant to come into the comfort after a long drive. Not only that, he had all the essentials and more in the house, as well as milk, eggs, and chocolate biscuits 😊 It is a beautiful house and the beds were so comfortable. We were attending a family wedding at Harvey's Point, so the house was an ideal location as only at most, a 15 mins drive and also only 5 mins from Donegal town. He also had lots of leaflets of local attractions, and we did enjoy a lovely looped wall on Sat morning before Day 2 celebrations as well as a swim at Murvagh Beach, only a few kilometres away. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Meeting Paul for the keys was very easy, the house had a beautiful Christmas tree and fire for us upon arrival. This house was amazing, great value and in a lovely quiet location. Only a short drive outside town.

Large 5 bedroom home, clean and well equipped

Everything. A beautiful, spacious property - clean and comfortable. The view is breathtaking, good facilities. Comfy beds. Cot, stair gates and highchair provided for grandchild. Close distance to beaches, places of interest and Donegal town.

Good size home, 4 bedrooms upstairs 1 bedroom with en suite downstairs. Everything you need air fryers extra blankets and pillows. Beautiful gardens and a piano my dad played music for us all. So near the town on a fab quite road. welcome biscuits and tea coffee and milk for us. Clean and cozy home 🏡

Beds not comfortable my back was in bits so was my family members. The floors upstairs are so creaky u cannot move an inch without any of the boards making noise. V noisy house. But clean and loads of room. Beautifully kept gardens and books and toys for kids. Tea bags sugar and milk there great bonus. Few min drive from the town. Lovely quiet area.

Great location just back today after a 2 night stay and it was brilliant away from everything lovely and peaceful and only a couple of minute drive to the town.THE VIEW

5 large double bedrooms. Bedroom downstairs with en-suite was ideal for my mother who has very poor mobility. Welcoming fire on when we got there with milk and biscuits and plenty of other bits and pieces in the kitchen which had all mod cons.

Fantastic property, homely and nice view. Owner met us on site and had left milk and cake - perfect for large family get together not far from Donegal town

Location was quiet and beautiful

Lovely large house 5 minutes drive from the town in a lovely quiet and scenic spot. The house is roomy and had everything you could need. Hosts had lit the fire before our arrival so the place was lovely and cozy. They had left us milk and biscuits also which was much appreciated.

Fabulous house and very reasonably priced. 5 minute drive to Donegal town and less than 15 minutes to Harvey's point so it was ideal for our trip. In a rural area so a car is needed to get about.

Great location, the property has everything we needed!👌🏼 Great facilities and local contact numbers provided in the house. Travelled into Donegal Town each evening with local taxi who were very friendly and great craic! The host was fantastic and communicated really well with, we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Property was clean and very cosy!

In short it's a little palace in a beautiful place and an amazing host. Very much enjoyed the stay. Kitchen was full of all essentials including fresh milk can in the fridge which we hardly see in any holiday homes. Cleanliness is exceptional. Great garden outside .
