Reviewed Sep 10, 2026The house is lovely and PLENTY of space. This was our only stay in 3 weeks where we had access to both a washer AND a dryer!! Thank you so much for having a dryer! We were 2 couples. The bedrooms are both upstairs. The larger bathroom is also up and a smaller one down. We didn't cook in the kitchen, but it was plenty big enough. The view out front is beautiful with the neighbors horses in the corral. The living room had plenty of seating and it was about the only time all trip that we watched any TV at all. =:P We would definitely recommend a stay here!
We found it a bit tricky to find the right house, but the instructions all made sense. It's just finding a place you've never been that's a bit off the beaten track can be confusing the first time. There is not much nearby, but we did manage to find a restaurant open/available after a long day of travel and sight-seeing.

It was spotlessly clean, well-equipped and on a great location - close to Donegal but towering on a picturesque rural location. We would definitely stay there again and we wish we could stay longer.

Reviewed May 22, 2026The house was just lovely. Very cozy, clean & beautifully decorated. It was wonderful to have a nice kitchen and comfortable living area after a long day of traveling. The bedrooms were upstairs--and we slept well. The views were simply beautiful. The house faces west and looks at lots of woods and pastures---but you can definitely see the water. We got great pics of the sun setting--particularly from the upstairs windows....Also, and for no additional charge :-), we were greeted by the friendliest horses in the pasture to the left of the house. They came running over to the fence for head rubs everytime we came outside. The house is also very convenient to Donegal Castle, etc--about 8-10 min to town and about an hour to Slieve League.

The beds were very comfortable and everyone got a good nights sleep. Very spacious kitchen and washer and dryer to use. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The place was well maintained and clearly looked after with care. The host was truly exceptional; incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. When the weather turned bad, he went above and beyond by offering to extend our stay and allowing a later check-out, which we really appreciated and made a big difference to our experience. Overall, this was a wonderful property with an outstanding host. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Reviewed Oct 23, 2025Alors là, c'est vraiment le luxe, le top du top. Une villa magnifique, des pièces immenses et bien équipées, 3 chambres.. Un parc et une vue splendides. La porte d'accès était ouverte (appel téléphonique auparavant) et un mot d'accueil nous attendait à notre arrivée. il est vraiment dommage que nous soyons tombés sur la journée la plus pluvieuse de notre séjour car nous aurions pu profiter un peu plus de cette charmante demeure. il y avait beaucoup de photos de Michaël Caine et notamment de son rôle dans Zoulou (Zulu) en 1964. Ce bel acteur aurait-il vécu dans cette demeure ?

Reviewed Oct 14, 2025The house was large, but private enough to feel cozy. I appreciated the laundry facilities, and the cooking utensils. The beds were comfortable. All in all I would definitely recommend this place.
Unfortunately one bathroom was down and needed a plumber. This was the bathroom closest to the bedrooms on the second floor. I also expected simple spices such as salt and pepper for such a beautiful chef kitchen. However I couldn't find any salt.

The location was very hard to fine. The code for the property and location finder had it's location completely off from its true location. It continually was telling me we were there, but upon finding out its true location. We would have had to walk a mile over a hill and through fields and pastures. The owner did give some directions but due to the roads poor markings it was still very difficult to find. Even though we had these issues. I highly recommend the property!
