Cabañas Matavai

La cabaña era linda y tranquila, con implementos suficientes para cocinar y pasar días agradables. Violeta siempre fue muy atenta y amable, asegurándose de que estuviese cómoda y que no me faltara nada. Está cerca del centro pero no dentro del mismo, lo que la hace tranquila y con una preciosa vista al mar.

Bonita cabaña con unas vistas preciosas. Perfecta para pasar unos días en la isla, ya que está cerca del centro. También hay restaurantes cerca. Cama cómoda y, en general, bien equipada. Violeta, la dueña, es encantadora.

Muy buena ubicación y la dueña Violeta fue muy amable y atenta.

La ducha estaba tapada.el agua subía hasta las rodillas , el wc lamentablemente salía muy mal olor.

My husband and I had a great experience here. The best part about these accommodations is that you can see the ocean from the patio and from the (very comfortable) bed. The host was very accommodating. She was extremely responsive when we had questions and spent a lot of time going over how to see each moai site, pointing out which ones needed a guide (surprisingly complicated; we relied on the map she marked up a lot).

Die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit bei allen Anliegen. Bezaubernder Ausblick auf der Terrasse, man sieht und hört das Meer. Kurze Wege zu allen Restaurants und Cafes am Meer.

Cerca del centro , cuenta con ventilador . Nos estaban esperando con collar de flores . Buen recibimiento y acogida por parte de la dueña .

Imagenes referenciales no es lo real , cabaña asignada no tiene vista al mar , no cuenta con lavadora, aunque nos ofrecio lavarnos la ropa no corresponde a lo publicado en la pagina

L'emplacement face à la mer et à proximité du centre. L'air de la mer et la brise qui cassent un peu la chaleur étouffante.

La route bruyante juste devant la maison, la chaleur étouffante dans le logement, ventilateur mais pas de clim. Toiture en tôle ondulée. Humidité+++ . C'était l'étuve, mais c'est la saison qui veut ça. Protège matelas en polyester qui tient vraiment trop chaud... Dormir sur du plastique.

The payment process is difficult if you don’t have cash ( chile pesos or us $.) there is Wi-Fi but it’s very poor and we used data or went local cafe.

L'accueil de violetta, sa patience (2h 30 passés à la douane de Hangaroa) sa gentillesse, sa générosité ( merci pour mon anniversaire) son souci de voir ses clients satisfaits ( elle s'est dérangée pour nous, à l'office du tourisme, car nous n'étions pas contents de ces nouvelles lois d'obligation de prendre un guide partout...) L'emplacement est idéal en bord de mer.literie très confortable. Calme. Parking. Petit jardin bon rapport qualité/ prix.

Pour nous français, il manquerait : un grille pain, une passoire, au moins 2 casseroles,un peu plus de vaisselle, des portes manteaux, une grande poubelle avec sacs, un endroit pour ranger les affaires. L'escalier de meunier très à pic n'est pas fait pour des personnes ayant des problèmes de jambes. Robineterie cuisine et douche vétustes, à voir, avant fuites d'eau .Mais cela n' est pas une critique juste pour améliorer les choses !

Todo estuvo genial. La atención recibida, la ubicación, las vistas...Tuvimos un cambio de horario de última hora en nuestro vuelo y no hubo ningún inconveniente por su parte en modificar la hora de recogida en el aeropuerto. Excelente atención.

No hay nada que reseñar, todo bien. Ojalá regresar!

Que la vista es hermosa, que la Sra violeta nos ayudó en todo, totalmente recomendado si quieren una cabaña relajada con vistas estupenda y cerca de todo. Fue mejor de lo que esperé y estoy muy feliz!

Cabaña con excelente ubicación, y la persona encargada con muy buena disposición para ayudarte y preocupada de si lo estás pasando bien (de principio a fin). Recomiendo estas cabañas 100%!

Incredible location and a very charming cabin. Comfortable, quaint, affordable, and an excellent view. One of the best stays in recent memory. Listen to the waves crash as you fall asleep!

Loved the property - by the sea and very close to the centre, there´s a restaurant right on the doorstep. It came equipped with all of the necessary facilities, including instant coffee. We were very well looked after by the host. All in all had a great holiday. Special thanks to Manini who picked us up from the airport and dropped us off on the last day.

The host was very warm and responsive. The location was great with direct view of the ocean. The facility is basic but clean. There is a fan, but no AC, so during the hot afternoon could be a little uncomfortable. Then we realized this is “normal “ on the island, since most businesses, including the airport, have no AC either. All in all, we had a great time, it’s hard to be unhappy in such a unique environment!

Overall, that was a great experience! Violeta (host) met us at the airport, on the way to cabana showed us all key places on the main street, provided clear instructions, and btw on our departure day she also gave us a ride to the airport. The best thing about our cabana is view! It's fantastic, you can enjoy the ocean view, rocks and waves as long as you want. The cabana style is tropical countryside which is very nice. It's filled with light but you can use roll blinds if you want. It has beautiful terrace, great for chilling time. There is all necessary inside cabana, even in case you want to cook for yourself. We had just a few days and preferred restaurants, but there was still great to have fridge, coffee machine and microwave (to warm up empanadas:) Bed was comfortable. And there was hot water in the shower, no problem. Only good memories!

If you are a light sleeper as I, you may have some issues with a noise from cars and motorbikes from the road nearby. However, the road is not very busy, so generally it's not that bad. For my boyfriend it was not a problem at all. So, it's personal thing. One thing I'd recommend to the host - place anti-mosquito nets to the windows. It's hot to sleep with closed windows in summer season, but with the open ones you can be bitten with mosquitoes. It didn't ruin our trip though. Just some discomfort. Again, overall, that was great experience.

Location, Location, Location. Outstanding view of the ocean from the house. We would get together every evening on the balcony and were happy to spend hours talking with the ocean in the foreground. It is 5 -10 mins walk from downtown, restaurants, and stores. Ocean sounds and cool breeze lulled us to sleep every night. Large enough for 2 adults (& a child), good beds, adequately provisioned kitchen. Violeta (the landlady) is communicative, responsive and very helpful.

Bathroom needs updates and a more thorough cleaning. I can understand that it is difficult to do in humid climate and that too so close to the ocean. The property can do with modernization.

The view and the host were absolutely amazing!

Excellent location overlooking the ocean. It is wonderful to wake up to blue skies and the sound of waves breaking. The host make a great effort to keep the place clean. It is small but cozy. There are outside seating areas with flowers around, and at least when we were there, the weather was very benign and great for sitting outdoors. The centre of Hanga Roa is just a short 5 minute walk with plenty of restaurants and other facilities.

Quite cramped and old with creaking doors and minimum kitchen space. The door to the outside must be watched like a hawk. If you close the door behind you without the key, you'll lock yourself out, and if you didn't take your phone out or your wallet, you'd be in a bit of a mess.

Perfect location with sea of the ocean! and Violeta is a warm hearted host…can only recommend this apartment everyone who is visiting Rapa Nui

It was a great stay. A short walk to town with a great view and sound of the ocean couldn't be beat. Violeta also is one of the kindest souls and is super friendly.

You're across the street from the ocean, and can hear the waves hitting the shore at night. Convenient location a five minute walk from the center of town. One of the best restaurants we tried is next door, Taha Tai.

It can be a little warm in the room during the day, but cools down at night and is quite comfortable.

Outstanding views ....cabana was first class , everything you needed ...great value for money. Violetta was friendly and helpful. If we return will be staying there for sure !!

She informed us about the Island, things to do around and lend us a book to read about Rapa Nui She also organised to be collected from airport for free The Cabaña was very clean and served the purpose. The view from the balkony was beautiful. Location was great and the owner was really helpfull. We really enjoyed our staying here.

This place is amazing - the location, the view, the beds. Violeta is a wonderful and kind hostess who will go the extra mile. We even got a free Gato friend thrown in (our children love cats) - though as he was a neighbor's cat, I can't guarantee he will stop by when you are there.

Everything was great - there was nothing about this stay we didn't like.

A simple rustic cabin that is yet comfortable and has everything you need for a couple of days exploring the island. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is hard to beat. Cozy balcony, very friendly and responsive host, wonderful meet and greet and the airport. The location is excellent for those who want to be close to the city and explore Hanga Roa, walking distance to everywhere.

This is the sweetest accommandation ever. Pickup included, and welcoming with flowers was absolutely amazing. The apartment is suuuper clean and has everything you need and more. Even soap and mosquito repellent. Kitchen is wellequipped and beds are so comfy. View is breathtaking, lovely porch and it’s only a short walk to the center. The host is the sweetest and most helpful woman. Thank you so much for making our stay on the Island so memorable. Highly recommended. 10/10, and would have given it 12/10 if possible.
