Reviewed May 14, 2026The property had everything we needed and everything worked very well and we didn't have to look to find anything. The host communicated clearly and we had safe off-street parking. I was also very easy to find and easy to get into with the clear instructions.

Host do not sweat the small stuff with enough of everything to keep you going for a few days, coffee, rusks, milk, muskito plugs, humidifiers, high bandwidth internet, fire wood, etc. Self service checking and checkout. Baie lekker. Will not stay anywhere else if the cottage is available 👍

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026We stayed in the Moon House and it was like staying in an antique store! Very quirky furniture and decoration and extremely comfortable, especially the bed! As there was a kitchen and microwave, it would have been great to have a stove top too, as there was plenty of space.

Kitchen could be improved with a hot plate and/or Airfryer. A few extra items in kitchen could be useful if you want to eat in.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026The Karoo Moon Cottage is a little gem. It is simple yet beautifully appointed, comfortable and well located. There were nice touches of some snacks, juice and good coffee . Beds were comfortable and heated mattress pad a blessing on a chilly evening. Dinner recommendations from our host were great. Off street parking is a bonus. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this spot.

Great coffee machine, fresh juice, waters and milk in the fridge. Fabulous linens on the bed, great towels and bath products provided. This is a wonderful place to stay… maybe a few days.

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026The bed was comfortable. All the treats. The table under the tree, with the lights. Lots of unusual features. The vibe of the town. We had good food at Karoo daisy, Country Pumpkin ,The makers bru and Don Pedro's at the boutique hotel. We did the Tradouw mountain pass.
We could have done with more space. Ours was only a two day stay ,so it wasn't much of an issue.

Would highly recommend to stay here! Also the host was super communicative with us - let us know about water pressure issues in town and even notified us about a special event in town that was a highlight of our stay.

Reviewed Nov 29, 2025Einfache Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber. Richtig tolle Unterkunft mit viel Platz und einfach genial eingerichtet. Man kann direkt vor der Tür parken. Die Kommunikation erfolgte über Whats App und war echt einfach und reibungslost. Wir haben direkt noch Empfehlungen für das Frühstück und Abendessen erhalten.

Not a complaint only a suggestion. The chairs in the lounge area is very low. Difficult to get up and sit unless you are under 12 or a dwarf. The lighting in the bed area is not very good. Maybe that is the idea to help create the atmosphere.

Arredamento particolare, molto studiato e anticonvenzionale. Attrezzatissima x soggiorni brevi in quando manca un fornello x cucinare (ma c’è il microonde). I proprietari forniscono comunque tantissime informazioni utili tra cui anche i posti dove pranzare/cenare. Un posto unico e davvero incredibile da provare assolutamente.
Mancanza di fornello e luci tanto soffuse (creano tanta atmosfera ma in certi momenti manca un illuminazione forte).

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the host that thoughtfully considered every little detail to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Attention to every little detail with thoughtful touches like rusks, water, restaurant recommendations and coffee. They upgraded some of the furniture My son loved the Big poof bag couches. Our room was very nice and cozy loved the decor in the room and bathroom. The juices they gave us is Very nice
Nothing we didnt like. Would love for this house maybe to have a bigger fridge as we where on our way to a sports event and had few groceries tjat we could not refridgerate. But We managed.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2025This is a gorgeous option to stay in, so we'll appointed, so carefully decorated with antique and high-class furnishings. Great attention to detail. The bed was so comfortable! Excellent coms via WhatsApp and welcoming owners. Stunning natural products to use kitchen & bathroom. It also has a big lounge & spare bed for families as well as a separate cottage if you are traveling as a group. Awesome outside areas to lounge in and great wifi! The bedroom has an airconditioner which is fantastic when sleeping. All the restaurants are within walking distance & Diesel & Cream serves a fantastic menu! We will definitely be back!
Only thing we missed & needed was a stove top or oven... but we made use of the microwave to warm meals.

Our host was readily available if needed and the check in instructions were very easy. The houses are extremely clean and it was perfect for a family group to book both the house and the cottage together. Air conditioning was appreciated too.
