It was private. The gardens around the property were beautiful. Our host was excellent. She was always very helpful and available to answer questions.

When it rained for two days it got a bit damp inside…but this was due to the beautiful gardens around the property and the amount of rain

Francisco picked us up at the airport and drove us to the cabana. It was roomy and clean. A bowl of fresh fruit was left for us to enjoy and we were offered a fresh mango on the second day. They have two friendly dogs that were well behaved. It was an easy 10 minute walk to town. When asked, they gave us great suggestions for food. They were very attentive and responded quickly to questions I texted them. Lovely place and wonderful people. I highly recommend!

Everything was up front and honest and there was nothing to complain about.

Had everything we needed, nice place, lovely garden and patio. Very friendly and helpful host. Nothing too much trouble, even give us lemons, avocados, bananas and eggs from the garden and their hens 👌

The only comment I would say, is the towel provided is quite small, only one each and really just a hand towel.

Marcia and Francisco were absolutely amazing. They couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Great communication and helped us get the required documents to enter the island. Also provided some great tour companies and car hire companies on the island. The accommodation was a beautiful house set in a lovely garden with lots of local fruits provided on check in.

Very minor - If you're not wanting to hire a car it is around a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of town, up a slight hill.

This beautiful house nestled behind our hosts home is surrounded by the most beautiful garden. It is private and has a wonderful terrace to enjoy the view. 10 minutes walk from town but also a restaurant just around the corner with a beautiful view of the sunset. Our hosts were wonderful and made sure we felt very welcome. If you wish to self cater there is a couple of local stores one minute walk away. Perfect location for a getaway and privacy whilst also within strolling distance of restaurants, bars and sites.

We loved everything about this property which was perfect for us.

An incredibly beautiful and authentic place in Hanga Roa. We’re so grateful for our stay, we truly appreciated the relaxed vibe and laid-back lifestyle of the island. Our hosts, Marcia and Francisco, were absolutely wonderful. They welcomed us warmly, gave us great tips before our arrival to help us prepare for the trip, picked us up at the airport, and even left us fresh fruit as a welcome gift. Nestled in Francisco’s lush, lovingly maintained garden, there’s a hand-built wooden cabana that adds so much charm. The cabana is beautifully decorated with warm colours, with an authentic style that blends perfectly with the natural surroundings. The garden itself is pure magic: private, peaceful, and full of life. You can sit on the terrace, feel the breeze, and just disconnect from the world. The only sounds are rustling palm leaves and distant roosters. Just PERFECT. ✨ P.S. We later found out that Francisco has contributed to the restoration of some Ahu sites and is a descendant of the island’s original population — an honor to have stayed in a place with such deep roots and cultural significance. We couldn’t be happier and we hope to come back.

Very nice hists

+ Marcia is one of the most amazing hosts we have stayed with. She was extremely helpful even before we arrived, as she gave us all the needed information. She helped us with contact of guides/rental cars without pushing us on certain contacts like other hotels in Rapa Nui do. She was very precise in the information, and she even sent her kind husband Francisco to hand us 2000 CLP that we had forgotten. She also told us what to get with us before we arrived. Thank you Marcia for everything! + The cabana is spacious, beautiful, and extremely well maintained. + The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. + The location is excellent. + The windows are well isolated that you dont hear the roosters that are all over the island.

Nothing, we will stay here again if we come back to Rapa Nui.

Marcia is the warmest, nicest and most responsive host we've ever encountered!! The kitchen was well equipped including newer pots and pans without scratches on them (very hard to find these days), lots of fruits await upon your arrival, 2 dogs and lots of chickens greeting you all days, we can't imagine to stay somewhere else ! Go for this one for sure! Thank you so much Marcia and Francisco!

nothing

Marcia and Francisco are the BEST hosts. From the friendly airport pick up with flower necklace to the accommodation, everything is PERFECT!!!! Well exceed expectations! Their cabana is a nature paradise! Full of fruit trees and flowers. The garden is beautiful and interior of the cabana is tastefully decorated with local arts. Marcia is so kind and goes through the facility with me. She treats you like family, always welcome you with smiles and brings over fresh fruits and eggs. Thanks to Marcia, she found me two amazing guides for hiking and moai tours. She reached out to me well in advance with good information to ensure smooth entry onto Easter Island and national park. She makes my birthday trip extra special & memorable - She got me birthday cake, sang happy birthday with traditional Rapa Nui musical instrument and gifts! The cabana is tranquil & serene, but still within comfortable walking distance to city center. Staying at Cabana Vaenga Miro, I can get a good sense how local islanders live.

As an animal lover, there is NOTHING I didn't like. The property has dogs (very friendly), cats and chickens. It is very common to find animals everywhere on the island. They can be slightly noisy at night/dawn time. However, it is NO PROBLEM for me.

All good, great host

Everything was perfect - I loved this place

The house is as pictured! It was very comfortable and had all the amenities I needed during my stay. I cooked for most of my time there so having a full kitchen, etc. was very useful. You can walk to the main part of town but you're far enough away that it's quiet (other than the roosters, but they didn't bother me). Marcia and Francisco are super friendly. They contacted me beforehand to make sure I had everything I needed in order to get into the island. When I was there, they always checked in to see if I needed anything and would give me fruit from their garden. I would highly recommend this for your stay on Easter Island if you'd like privacy!

None.

This is the perfect location for a week exploring Isla the Pascua. The hosts are so amazing, both kind & helpful and really made the best of our stay. The house is a hidden gem in a big garden full of special trees having banana-, avocado and cotton. The house has a large living room and a convenient kitchen with all the right equipment in there. The sunny veranda deck overlooking a part of the garden was the bonus of our stay. If you rent a car you can have it on the property.

Marcia and Francisco were amazing hosts! The cottage was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, kitchen was spacious and well supplied and bedroom was comfortable. Marcia made us feel very welcome and recommended an amazing tour guide to us. I can't recommend this place enough.

Pillow case was a bit warm, a cooler pillow case would make this amazing stay even better!
