No se cumplió con lo acordado, no otorgaron tour, ni vehículo. Nos obligaron a salir a las 10 de la mañana, teniendo vuelo a las 16.00hrs. Poco criterio. Pésima atención, jamás llamaron para saber si había alguna necesidad como estufa. Ya que hizo frío. Mal educados.

Elegí el alojamientos para mis papás de 70 años. Quedaron fascinados con la isla y la amabilidad de los anfitriones, les organizaron e hicieron los tour y los orientaron durante toda su estadía. Sin duda volverán a la isla y se volverán a alojar con Kevin y su madre. Gracias!

We had a fantastic time at Cabañas Kitai. The place was walking distance to everything in Hanga Roa and the kitchen meant we could self cater as well as go out. Kevin’s tour was outstanding, so fascinating to learn the history of the island and the Rapa Nui people from a descendant of the Miru tribe. Bonus, he has super friendly cats!

A severe storm meant we were trapped on the island due to cancelled flights. Honestly the best place to be stranded!

Kevin meet us at the airport with a sign. He also drove us back to the airport. The accommodation was clean. Everything worked. Kevin gave an excellent tour.

Todo me gustó, solo sugerir un espejo de cuerpo completo y más útiles de cocina como tostador. Pero con lo que había se podía tener una estadía agradable.

Ein gemütliches, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Häuschen mit einer Terrasse mit Blick auf das Meer. Was den Ort aber besonders liebenswert gemacht hat, war die Hilfsbereitschaft der ganzen Familie in jeder Situation, sei es beim Organisieren eines Mietwagens oder eines privaten Reiseführers.

I was picked up at the airport and given a warm and friendly greeting. The hospitality was fantastic and the people were lovely. They made my stay very special.

Buona location a due passi dal campo sportivo, dai ristoranti e dal mare. La cabaña è spaziosa e ci sono tanti gatti 😍 Kevin è stato molto gentile e ci ha accolte calorosamente.

Purtroppo abbiamo trovato diversi scarafaggi e altri animali all'interno della nostra cabaña. Il servizio di pulizia quotidiana è assente, gli asciugamani non asciugano, la carta igienica era centellinata e, siccome sull'isola non si può gettare la carta igienica nel wc, abbiamo dovuto cambiare in autonomia il sacchetto dell'immondizia del bagno ogni giorno. Nel complesso ci siamo trovate bene ma ci avrebbe fatto piacere ricevere maggiore assistenza, magari anche anticipando i nostri bisogni

The location is really excellent, right on the shore a small beach is just a few steps away. Restaurants, shop and the centre is all really close. The hosts are really kind, they picked us up and dropped off at the airport.

We had the back cabana and it could be a little more clean. The bathroom would need an upgrade. I think the front one is more modern.

Todo! Magnífico recibimiento de Kevin & Lynn en el aeropuerto. La cabaña está muy bien ubicada cerca de la playa y del centro de la ciudad. Todo dentro de la cabaña se encuentra en perfecto estado, limpia, bien ventilada e iluminada. El baño es grande y hay hasta un secador de cabello. La cocina está bien equipada. La comunicación con los dueños es muy buena desde que se hace la reserva. Kevin es guía local y nos movilizó por la isla compartiendo todo su conocimiento y cultura. Nos llevaron de vuelta al aeropuerto también.

Kevin, Lynn en zijn familie zijn geweldig. Zij hebben ons verblijf op Paaseiland tot een onvergetelijke ervaring gemaakt. De ligging is top vlakbij de gezellige restaurantjes. En op 15min lopen van de zonsondergang bij de Moai. Wij hebben ook alle tours bij Kevin gedaan. En dat kan ik iedereen aanraden. Hij is een echte Rapa Nui en zijn liefde en kennis over zijn eiland/cultuur is fantastisch. Hij is ook een prettige verteller om naar te luisteren en zijn Engels is uitstekend. Bovendien wilden wij de tours verspreid doen over de dagen dat wij er waren en ze dachten werkelijk is alles mee. Mijn vriendin en ik hebben enorm genoten en raden die van verblijf van harte aan iedereen aan.

Transfer from the airport was included. Warm welcome by Lynn. Set back from the main road Cabin is centrally located in the centre near restaurants & main activities. Arranged my tours with Kevin Lynn’s partner who is a qualified tour guide. Meaning time of tour with smaller group was more personalised. Stayed 3 nights which is recommended.

Cooking facilities limited. I only wanted to prepare breakfast so a toaster would have been useful.

We stayed here in February for 3 nights and have to say it was amazing and a once in a lifetime experience made better by our hosts. Kevin and Lynn run the Cabana's and are the best! They picked us up from the airport and gave us had made Lei's! We decided to spend a little extra and do our tours with Kevin rather than some of the other providers. Wow was that a great Choice! You see, Kevin is a direct decendant of the first who arrived on the island. He knew like everything literally, including which Moai were his family! We overheard some other tour guides talking and they could not hold a candle to Kevin. Kevin even adjusted our tour on account of some rain showers...How cool is that? Our cabana was quaint, and basic but had everything we needed not to mention we were walking distance to everything in Hanga Roa which was super cool. We even walked across the street and went swimming in the local pool, so awesome. To top it all off Kevin and Lynn gave us a ride back to the Airport as part of our stay and some big hugs for a wonderful send off. Thank you for making a trip of a lifetime so much more memorable!

Emplacement parfait! Kevin et Lynn sont des hôtes extraordinaires! Le fait que Kevin soit guidé est super, il est un très bon guide qui nous a fait découvrir toute l’île aux moments les plus propices.

Les équipements de cuisine sont basiques pour se faire à manger. Ça prendrait un four ou un four grille-pain ou un BBQ pour manger quelque chose de griller (une pizza, un poisson, un steak…). Mais bon ça va! C’était quand même un séjour parfait!

Fabulous location, overlooking sea and close to many great restaurants. Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful hosts, who also have excellent private tours of important sites throughout the island. Kevin had such insightful information about the Rapa Nui people, their history and culture and the island in general, plus he was super flexible about working around the weather and also avoiding crowds. I can’t imagine we could have had a better guide!

We have been traveling around the South Pacific for two months and this is absolutely one of our top experiences. The bungalow was great: spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Bed was comfy, shower large and warm (and even provided with conditioner!) We were also very happy with the location in the middle of Hanga Roa, at close walking distance to all kinds of restaurants. Maybe a 15 minute walk from the ‘sunset moai’. The best of all though, were Kevin and Lynn. Exceptionally friendly hosts, with 12 awesome cats to top it off. We went around the island with Kevin for two days and we learned so much from him about its history and tradition. His stories added a ton of value. He speaks excellent English and is so passionate about Rapa Nui. We could not have wished for a better few days.

If you are severely allergic to cats you should be aware that there are cats who live in the garden and who sometimes come to the veranda of the bungalow. We did not mind it at all.

Such wonderful owners. Kevin and Lynn helped us with everything. They picked us up from the airport. The Cabana had everything we needed. There was a big fridge. We could hang up our wet clothes in the back. The patio in the front is nice as well. Bed was very comfortable. We had always hot water in the shower, the bathroom was spacious. Whenever we needed something Lynn or Kevin would help us. We booked private tours with Kevin for the 4 days and still had enough time to explore areas on ourselves. Kevin is one of the best guides I have met. Very engaging and always friendly. Sorry for the delay of this review - I thought I had done it already. :)

Superbe petite cabane - simple, mais avec tout le nécessaire, y compris un distributeur d'eau potable - avec terrasse agréable et une vue sur la mer. Accès facile à l'océan pour nager (dont la petite plage Pea où il y a des tortues) et au centre-ville. Emplacement calme. Lynn et Kevin sont des hôtes charmants et discrets ainsi que les parents de Kevin ! Le wifi et la communication via whatsapp sont excellents. Leurs conseils sont très utiles. La visite guidée (Super Tour) de Kevin était formidable, bien organisée et riche en informations historiques, culturelles et également contemporaines. Très appréciables également les transferts depuis et vers l'aéroport (l'accueil avec colliers de fleurs). Merci à Lynn pour les pierres, liens de coeur au-delà de la distance. Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement et la visite guidée complète.

1 semaine de séjour était trop courte tant cette île et sa population sont attachantes et tranquilles.

The location is perfect, you can walk everywhere from the apartment. The swimming area across the street was a nice surprise, starlink Wi-Fi was strong, cabaña was super clean, airport pickup and drop off was so nice. We had the best tour of the national park sites with Kevin - stay here just so you can tour with Kevin. It was AMAZING!

Great little cabin - simple, but with everything you need. Easy access to the water and the centre of town, but quiet location. Lynn and Kevin are lovely hosts - really good communication and helpful tips. Kevin’s tour was brilliant and one of the highlights of my trip to Chile. Highly recommend.

Kitai Cabanas was an amazing place to stay. It felt like this was the real start to my holiday and I really loved Easter Island. Accommodation is in a great location right across from the seafront, very close to a number of nice restaurants and approx 5min walk to the main streets of Hanga Roa (and the shops). I stayed in the front property which had a small balcony with table and chairs. it was large and clean and has a small fridge and gas hob for cooking (I didn’t use this). Bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was good. The tv channels didn’t appear to be working but that didn’t matter as I preferred to use Netflix anyway. Lynn and Kevin were lovely hosts and also include airport pickup and drop off which was very handy.

Lyn und Kevin waren super nett und haben uns vor Ort immer unterstützt wenn wir fragen hatten. Wir würden von beiden persönlich vom Flughafen abgeholt und wieder hingefahren. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und geräumig. Die Lage war super. Top Restaurants direkt in unmittelbarer Nähe. Preis Leistung war auch völlig in Ordnung.

They come to pick you up at the airport; provide all the info to have a great stay and are always available to help. The tour with Kevin is highly recommended and potentially the best activity you can do! He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his island! Overall an excellent place run by a very friendly couple!

Great location close to the port, cabin with the ocean view, quite spacious. Basic kitchen equipment, large bed. I got some recommendations for restaurants and other places to visit. The owner is also a certified guide so I used his services to visit the statues and the island.

The cabin looked clean at first sight but I would recommend to do a deep cleaning. The bathroom was clean but the main room had some sticky stains on the floor and the table, the kitchen part was also sticky. There was a container for water but I did not use it because there was a lot of dust.

It’s a cosy home stay across the road from the ocean. Had everything we needed for 4 nights on Rapa Nui - we loved sitting on the front deck after each day & being able to make a coffee in the morning to drink in bed. Lynn & Kevin were great hosts.

We loved our stay here and were sad to leave. I am a light sleeper & wish I’d brought ear plugs as there are roosters and dogs everywhere who wake up early! This would apply anywhere on the island so isn’t a criticism of Kitai.

The location is one of the BEST on the island. The privacy and peacefulness is absolutely amazing. The hosts are super nice. Great coffee shops and restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Very spacious. Kitchenette, fridge. Great WiFi.

This is the perfect place to stay if coming to Easter Island. The cabana is great, clean, well equipped and right in the center of Hanga Roa, next to the beach and with plenty of restaurants around. Kevin and Lynn are awesome young hosts- we did all the tours with Kevin who is also a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He showed us all around the island. i can’t forget about the cats that also were very friendly and great hosts. this have been the perfect way to spend time in Easter Island and I would recommend to anyone!

Todo fue genial. La cabaña tiene cocina y es muy agradable. La ubicación es perfecta, en el centro de Hanga Roa y muy cerca de una pequeña playa. Además, el anfitrión nos acompañó a visitar todos los lugares arqueológicos con tours privados a buen precio, y fue un guía muy conocedor y atento.

Las cabañas son confortables y estan muy bien situadas en el centro de Hanga Roa. Han sido perfectas para nosotros. Lo mejor es la atención de parte de los propietarios Kevin y Lynn. Ambos encantadores y muy atentos con nosotros. Además Kevin hizo de guía (para ver los principales atractivos de la isla es obligatorio ir con guía. Kevin nos explicó con mucho conocimiento y pasión en cada uno de los puntos que visitamos y consiguió transmitirnos su cultura Rapa Nui. Gracias a Lynn y a Kevin el viaje fue maravilloso y nos llevamos un pedacito de Rapa Nui con nosotros. Gracias Lynn y Kevin por todo!!

Casetta vicino alla costa fornita di tutto l'occorrente per cucinare e di bagno con doccia con acqua calda. Vicino a piedi a tutti i punti di interesse di Hanga Roa. Il punto forte però sono Kevin e Lynn, che gestiscono la Cabana. Super accoglienti e soprattutto Kevin è anche una guida del parco nonché un Rapa Nui Doc. Abbiamo fatto tutte le escursioni con lui e i tempi sono stati perfetti per evitare la massa di turisti e le spiegazioni davvero interessanti. Inoltre con prezzi concorrenziali rispetto agli altri tour. Consiglio al 100%

L'unica cosa che manca è la colazione ma sono sicura che ben presto saranno in grado di offrire anche quella (cmq a pochi passi è pieno di locali per colazione /pranzo/cena)

It is a very good place, near to a lot of locations, good restos and of course the coast is at the nearest proximity. Everything is in the hut, and the comfort level is good, even more the bed. I recommend Kevin as a tour guide too, he really deserves a lot of clients! Go on, my Friend! :)

-Despite I was made aware that the direction if we want hot-cold is mixed up, hot water did come only by some extent, but I guess if I complain, that could have been sorted out too. I did not want to complain at night. -The window blinds were hitting the wall when it was windy, so that made a loud voice. This should be worked out somehow, like having something for the window blinds what fixes them.

Todo nos gustó la ubicación perfecta todo está cerca los anfitriones son demasiado amables Kevin y lynn nos ayudaron en todo!!!! Kevin nos sirvió como guía turístico lo recomiendo aparte de tomarse su tiempo para explicar en cada parque es amable !!! Y tiene toda la disposición del mundo … recomendado todo !!!

Estuvimos 7 días en la Rapa Nui y nuestra estadía en la cabaña fue simplemente maravillosa. La ubicación es excelente: a solo 5-10 minutos del centro y del supermercado, con una vista espectacular a la puesta de sol. La cabaña estaba muy bien cuidada, limpia y con todas las comodidades necesarias para sentirse en casa. Los anfitriones, Lynn y Kevin, nos recibieron con mucha calidez y siempre estuvieron atentos a lo que necesitáramos, haciéndonos sentir como en familia, sin nunca dar la impresión de que éramos una molestia. Además, tomamos los tours con Kevin y fue una experiencia única. Es un guía excepcional, con un conocimiento profundo de su tierra y una manera muy cercana de compartirlo, siempre dispuesto a responder todas las preguntas con paciencia y entusiasmo. Su pasión se nota y se contagia. Como si fuera poco, es un excelente fotógrafo, lo que hizo que nuestros recuerdos fueran aún más especiales. Nos gustó todo. Desde sus anfitriones, Lynn y Kevin muy amables y atentos nos vinieron a recoger al aeropuerto. Contratemos los tours con kevin, guía certificado. Nos transmitió su cultura e historia. Cama cómoda y ducha caliente. Todo perfecto. Nos llevamos un enorme recuerdo de la isla gracias a ellos.

La cabaña me encantó. El lugar es hermoso y la cabaña súper bien equipada. Transporte del aeropuerto ida y vuelta a horarios precisos, información clara, muchísima amabilidad por parte de Lynn y Kevin. Mi peor miedo eran los bichos de la isla y la verdad no vi ninguno en toda mi estadía en la cabaña. Estuve con ellos durante la evacuación y se portaron excelente conmigo en todo momento a pesar de la urgencia. Debido a la contingencia no pude tomar ninguno de los tour de Kevin por estar corta de tiempo, pero sin duda cuando vuelva los tomaré. 100% recomendado! Tienen que ir :)

I cannot recommend enough this place. This is a very unassuming simple cabana/place but clean, very safe and has all the daily essentials including a smart TV with Netflix. Location: excellent, just minutes walk to the city center where there are many places to eat, shop, and also the tourist information where you can buy the park ticket. There are 2 indoor artisanal markets close by which are excellent for souvenir shopping. Amenities: has electric kettle, small fridge and stove, pots and plates; blowdryer We felt very safe. The cabanas are inside the host family property. Fresh air from outside. Nice soothing beach wave sounds. Noise comes from nature- rooster waking you up in the morning. The hosts : Kevin and Lynn are super awesome/ welcoming and very attentive. Kevin is a certified, truly Rapa Nui native guide. Hire him for the SUPER TOUR and you will not regret it!!! Visiting this island is tough so make it worth it. Kevin will make sure you will leave this place with the exciting history of Rapa Nui stuck in your head. Don’t get tempted that other tours are cheaper - Kevin’s tours are private and complete. He also leads you all the way inside the long underground caves. He also shuttles you from and to the airport. He also takes awesome pics. Tips: bring your own shampoo, instant coffee. Bed is more a full size but there’s another twin size bed. Depending on the season, mosquitoes might be a problem. In July, it was not an issue. But it does get cold at night so bundle up!

I feel like I stayed in the best place on Easter Island. I had to push back my arrival by one day due to an international airline issue, and Kevin was able to make that happen, still allowing me to stay my full 4 days. I really appreciated his willingness to help me with this. He picked me up from the airport, and I also booked all my day tours with Kevin, who was an awesome guide. We split up most all the island sights over 3 half days, so it was easy to see everything without rushing, and it was just Kevin and I, so we got in and out of places easily. He even drove us out for the sunrise view of the Moai, which was an amazing experience. The cabana was very comfortable and I appreciated the fan in the room to use at night, even though it really was a comfortable temperature. The little kitchen had enough utensils so that I could fix my breakfast each morning. The big new grocery store is just a few blocks walk so easy to stock up. The location of the cabana is really good, just a few feet from the ocean and a short walk to the harbor area. Thank you, Kevin, for a memorable visit to Easter Island!

The host couple Kevin & Lynn did an amazing job making you feel great during your stay. I can only recommend using Kevin as local tour guide also - he is great, nice and kind. Knows where to go and when to beat the crowds. Everything was good at the property. Great location. Well supplied. Everything was working.

One of our favourite properties we’ve ever stayed at. A simple, comfy and cosy cabin. Minutes walk from the Pea pool where you can see turtles. Airport pickup and drop off is included. The owners are lovely genuine people. So gutted we only stayed 2 nights, could easily do a week here. Easter Island is the best place you’ll ever visit.

Location and hosts. Right on the shore line and perfect view of the sunsets. Lots of local places to eat or grab a coffee and pastry. Easy walk to many sites. Host Kevin is a certified guide and took us anywhere we wanted to visit on the island at a very fair price.

Location and privacy. Kevin was also our guide and he is very knowledgeable. His speaks good English. Kevin and Lynn went out of their way to help us when our flight back to Santiago got cancelled. They picked us up from the airport and helped us to obtain a bed for the night.

Fantastic location - just a couple of minutes walk from the main street, half a minute from the coast and many restaurants. Lynn was helpful and friendly and picked us up and dropped us at the airport.

Some comfy chairs on the little terrace would have been nice. Accommodation and kitchen were nice but quite basic, but not faulting as it was a cabin!

We stayed 7 days at Cabana Kitai and loved every minute. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and spotless clean. The location is absolutely perfect - it is right in the center still is is peaceful and quiet. There are restaurants around the corner and a little coffee shop where you can buy breakfast. The natural swimming pool in the sea is just across the street. Kevin and Lynn are excellent hosts, they are very friendly, helpful, speak good english and Kevin is probably the best guide you can get on Rapa Nui.

It has been one of the most memorable, exciting and worthy experience in Chile - great location and comfort of house location, warm and welcoming atmosphere (greeting at the airport with flower necklaces, departing as friends with little surprise...). But nothing compares with consideration, space, personalized approach of Kevin and Lynn to the guests needs as far as tours are concerned. Kevin, we will keep your stories in our hearts and minds. It was hard to leave after 5 days... Deeply grateful and recommending to open minded people, Oksana and Grzegorz.

I visited Rapa Nui for two nights in December 2024 and Kitai Cabanas was really the best place to stay and made my short trip wonderful. The hosts are lovely persons and make the guests to feel welcome. Even before arrival communication was great and all questions have been answered quickly. Pick up at the airport was included and drop off at departure as well. The cottage is spacious, clean and a fully eqipped kitchen (which I did not use though, as Kitai Cabanas is next to many good restaurants). Water dispender is in the room, which was convinient. Room, bath and kitchen have been clean and I had a nice terrace with garden view. There are many lovely cats arround. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. I booked also an island tour with the hosts and Kevin is an excellent guide. Very knowlegable about the history and culture of Rapa Nui.

The SumUp-Device did not accept my credit card. So I had to get cash at the ATM with high fees.

absolutely amazing accommodation and hosts Kevin and Lynn. The accommodation is just a short walk from the sea and close to restaurants and the main street, but at the same time very quiet and private with a terrace to relax on. Communication via whatsapp smooth. Kevin is also an excellent tour guide, I took advantage of his offer for the whole two days and did not regret it. I got interesting information from him and we avoided large groups and rain at the same time :-). The whole family is very nice and once again many thanks to your mom for the delicious empanadas

Host is very responsive and welcoming. The apartment is spacies, clean, cozy and has everything you need. I especially enjoy the time spending on the balcony (terrace ) reading or drinking coffee. The location is unbeatable. You can see the sea from your place. Convenient to walk around.

The property is as described, the location is right on the beach in the center with restaurants, shops, and points of interest just a few steps away, but the real selling point is the personal touch in every aspect of our stay, and the fact that we got the full package, lodging and guide services, in one. The whole family was very kind, helpful, flexible, and welcoming. They picked up/dropped off at the airport, helped us with information around town. We hired Kevin as our guide for the parks, and we had the most wonderful and memorable experience with his help. He is very knowledgeable, but beyond that, he cares a lot about providing a personalized experience for his guests. We felt very well taken care of and learned much more than just the facts. He is truly a remarkable young man. We highly recommend the place and his guiding services.

Cabanas Kitai is ideally located just by the sea, close to the main street and a food and beverage supermarket. Choosing to live in Cabanas Kitai was the right decision. The hosts, Kevin and Lynn, are young and enthusiastic and very familiar with the cultural traditions of Rapa Nui, and special thanks to Kevin for taking us on a detailed tour of Ana Te Pahu and Ana Kakenga. I confirmed the tour project through direct communication with Kevin on the Internet, and I was very satisfied.

Cannot say enough positive things about Cabañas Kitai. Perfectly located, comfortable. The hosts are just gems. And please do yourself a favor a go on tours with Kevin. He is a Rapa Nui, so passionate about his culture and history of his people. Our tours with him were probably the best we had in our extensive travel! Thank you for making our stay in Rapa Nui unforgettable.

A very good house with everything you needed, and the location is pretty good, you can reach everywhere in couple of minutes, and Lynn is a really helpful girl.

Roosters crowing in the mornings were a bit loud, but was a small inconvenience.

It is in an amazing location! Central to the sea with the sea turtles and swimming. Lots of restaurants and travel excursion shops nearby. The bank is very close too. They have a mini fridge, water dispenser, a wine opener, dishes, wine glasses, cups, cutlery, towels, hand towels, a blow dryer, shampoo and conditioner and a fan etc. It’s 30 minutes walking to the museum and moai. Very clean and cute. The hosts are very nice and welcoming and same with the local cats and dogs. The hosts also do tours and Kevin is a guide/local which is super helpful! They brought us local passion fruit and natural juice as an added extra. They also greeted us so kindly at the airport with lays, which has been a childhood dream of mine! Very good price and value! Highly recommend! I hope they come to visit us in Canada! Wonderful people!
