A smart, modern cottage in a convenient and peaceful location. Te Awanga Cottages is a bright, airy, and very well-presented property with excellent attention to detail. The cottage is comfortable and thoughtfully equipped, with a fully fitted kitchen, a very comfortable bed, and everything needed for a relaxing stay. The outdoor seating areas are a real highlight. With both a deck and a patio at opposite ends of the cottage, it’s easy to enjoy sun or shade at any time of day. The location is ideal for exploring Hawke’s Bay and the south-eastern coast of the North Island. It works equally well as a quiet retreat or as a convenient base for touring, and is particularly well suited to couples. If you book this property, I’m confident you’ll be delighted — we would happily stay again.

Location, ambience, beautifully appointed.

Surprisingly the curtain linings. The bedroom became very bright at sunrise despite shutting all doors, louvres and curtains. The bed and linen was very comfortable but sadly it was impossible to sleep beyond sunrise. Otherwise a fabulous location from which to explore the surrounding area. Visiting the Gannet colony an absolute must!

Beautiful setting and lovely cottage.

Beautiful peaceful cottage looking out over farmland. Not a long drive from Napier so felt quiet but easy to go get groceries or to restaurants. Well equipped little kitchen and we really appreciated the extras like washing machine/dryer and the bath.

Not much to mention except the water pressure for showering/bath was very low. Otherwise we had a lovely stay and would definitely book again

The garden cabin was perfect for our tour of NZ offering us privacy as well as all the usual amenities. The provision of yoghurt and muesli was a nice thought and was much appreciated.

Couldn’t get any signal for tv . Etc Didn’t know how to ask hosts how to fix despite turning on and off ..

It was so lovely to step into the cottage and see the beautiful decor, with a gorgeous view of grazing sheep on a green meadow through the floor to ceiling dining area windows. It was new, clean and fresh. The bath was beautiful with plenty of hot water and the sound of happy birds chirping outside was so relaxing. We had everything we needed.

The mattress was a tiny bit hard for us, but of course that’s only a personal preference.

Cottage was comfortable, clean quiet and in a nice location.

The TV didn't really work luckily we had books!

The cottage is beautiful furnished and equipped for comfort. Loved the front and back table and seating area to enjoy the sunshine at all time of day. The view of the sheep and llama was lovely. Everything was fully stocked, luxurious and thoughtful.

We could find shampoo amongst all the spa options, however this wasn’t a big deal as we had our own.

Loved the bath - one of the reasons we chose this accommodation. Very spacious, clean, sunny with peaceful rural outlook. Good cooking facilities. Everything you would want for a relaxing self contained stay.

Really pretty minor in the overall context, but we were surprised at the amouny of early mrning traffic on what looked like a very quiet road. Our unit was closest to the road.

These were perfectly appointed units, perfect use of space. We were close to many wineries and the hosts provided bikes which we used to travel along the beach to Elephant Hill Winery. Try Hygge @ Clifton Bay bistro nearby.

Parking could have been a bit better.

The home was beyond beautiful! All the amenities, fresh eggs, the coziest linens and incredible views. We absolutely loved Te Awanga Cottages.

Clean, comfortable, well set out cottage. Roomy kitchen with lots of crockery and cutlery, great shower and laundry area. Spacious lounge with gas fireplace. Lovely surroundings. Very attentive and helpful hosts.

Small average TV and we don’t like Sky Channels. They need a chrome cast. Fridge is very small for an upmarket cottage as this was our most expensive accommodation. Parking was very tight for our mid size AWD. They need to trim the scrubs.

Very bright, quiet and private. The fresh eggs provided from the hosts farm were delicious. Location close to wineries was nice.

Bugs and mosquitoes. It was warm and we needed to keep some windows open at night with no screens or AC. Was eaten up pretty good by mosquitoes while sleeping but also understand it is on farm property.

we loved the privacy, all of the extra thought around the facilities and the perfect outlook. The small extras were great, such as the eggs and fresh milk! we would have loved to have spent more time there.

Cottage was very comfortable, immaculate and pleasant surroundings. So peaceful. Lovely having the sheep and lamas at our door. A nice visit from the family puss too. Great cycle tracks in the Bay. Rode Te Mata Peak from Te Wanga on the Saturday

Quiet spot, well appointed and had all the necessary items for a quite relaxing weekend, plus a bathtub to soak up in after the 1/2 marathon :).

No Mobile reception at location, so relied on wifi inside the property. But not a bad thing sometimes :)

We had a most relaxing time at Te Awanga Cottage. It was a rainy weekend - but it meant that we were able to stay warm, relaxed, calm and at peace in your beautiful cottage. We didn’t mind the rain at all. We will love to stay again soon

We loved our stay at Te Awanga cottages. We arrived well before check in time on Easter Sunday and Paia who was cleaning the place made us feel really welcome, kiwi hospitality at its best. The cottage itself was immaculately clean and we were impressed by how well designed it was with everything you’ll need. Sheep and llamas to look out at from the deck. Wineries, cafes and fish and chips within walking/biking distance. A very memorable stay, we hope to go back one day.

We loved the privacy that we had. Close but yet have our own space. My partner loved the outdoors. If we could we would have gone for adventures following the tracks

Honestly only thing i can think of is i couldnt find a power point in bathroom for hairdryer.
