Location was close to everything and the convenience store was literally just 2 minute car ride. The house was properly insulated and had plenty of heaters. The house was roomy and the deck was amazing to relax on. Kitchen was full of utensils and clean. Bathroom was clean.

The house was cozy, clean, and very well-equipped—everything we needed was there, including a washing machine, dryer, and full kitchen utensils. It made our family trip so much easier, especially with young and older members. Darryl was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and very welcoming. He provided clear instructions and was easy to communicate with throughout. The location is ideal: it’s only about a 10–15 minute walk to the town centre and the Church of the Good Shepherd, which was super convenient for sightseeing and meals. We truly felt at home here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Lake Tekapo. Thank you, Darryl, for a memorable stay!

The location was excellent — with easy access to Lake Tekapo, the town centre, and convenient routes for visiting Mount Cook. Communication from the host was smooth and helpful throughout. Overall, we really enjoyed our short stay and would happily return.

唯一可惜的是，廁所只有一間，對我們四個人來說稍微有點不方便，但整體仍然非常喜歡這裡的住宿環境

Reviewed Sep 20, 2025Very spacious property with a nice fire that was set up ready to go, you could definitely stay here easily on a longer holiday or a shorter one. Plenty of space for everyone and walkable from the main town if you'd like to. Cooking and cleaning facilities were all pretty much as new.
The couch probably needs a deep vacuum in the gaps and cracks, other than that there's nothing I would be able to think of to fault the place. Well worth the Visit.

It was the perfect size for a group of friends. The shower was good as well - which isn't always the case. The heater was on when we arrived so it was toasty and warm when we got in at night.
We had to change the gas bottle when we arrived because there was no hot water. It was easy but it was night.

Beautiful big windows to allow lots of light in. Great location for kids. I would imagine when it’s not covered in a foot of snow the deck and front lawn would be great to run around in. The driveway has a gate, so kids would be safe to be in the yard. Driveway and path was nicely shoveled free of snow for our arrival.
Took a little while for the bedrooms to heat up, but once it was toasty, it was perfect!

Fan was a life saver in the bedroom as it got a bit warm. Kitchen was nice though we didn’t use it as we were only there for a night. Overall would definitely stay there again though there was a sold sign out front so not sure how much longer it will be available?
