Tasman Village Cottage

Everything was just perfect. Great location & all the things you would need were there. Homemade cereal & yogurt & wee chocolate treats. Lovely & warm even with cold weather. Lovely afternoon tea delivered the following day which was warm apple pie. Fabulous hosts, beautiful setting. Hoping to return again soon. Lots of space for bags & things.

What did we like..... everything! The perfect mid winter escape destination. Will come back again in the summertime to experience the stunning garden in full bloom.

The cottage is perfectly fitted out with everything for a very comfortable stay. It is set in a gorgeous, serene garden environment. The hosts are wonderful and very thoughtful.

Tasman Village Cottage was a beautiful place to stay and we really enjoyed our time here. The cottage is much more spacious than we expected and felt very homely and comfortable. Everything was well set up and we had great facilities including cooking equipment, a washing machine and a really nice shower. The gardens are gorgeous and being able to pick fresh vegetables for our dinner was such a lovely experience. We had corn, tomatoes and basil and it was honestly such a highlight of our stay. The hosts are a really kind and welcoming couple and made us feel very at home. The location is also perfect for visiting Abel Tasman National Park. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

What a lovely garden cottage that is so thoughtfully arranged! Absolutely stunning outside area to sit, drink coffee, and enjoy the birds. Everything you need it there! The hosts, Maria and Cameron, were so kind and helpful with day trip planning. We will return!

The location was superb, close to the town of Mapua for cafes and restaurants and close to the Abel Tasman National park.

Mysigt välkomnande av värdparet. Fantastiskt fin stuga placerad i en ljuvlig trädgård. Vi fick en mycket god hemgjord granola och yoghurt till frukost. Finns bra faciliteter som tvättmaskin och grill. Vårt favoritboende på hela vår resa! Önskar att vi hade bokat fler nätter.

The neighbourhood is quiet. The cottage is the most beatiful one with flowers everywhere. Maria and her husband are so nice and I'm grateful to their hospitality.

We geven niet vaak een 10 maar deze cottage was het beste die wij tot nu toe in Nieuw Zeeland hebben gehad. Aan alles is gedacht: inrichting, de tuin, keuken faciliteiten en een super goed bed (met dekbed met hoes en niet zoals in de rest van een dekbed met laken). De eigenaresse gaf ons hele waardevolle tips voor de rest van onze reis.

The cutest cottage, set in the most beautiful gardens, with the friendliest host. Very well equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean bathroom and comfortable bed. As a bonus, Maria provides plentiful coffee, teas, milk, chocolates, and homemade muesli. We liked everything!

I absolutely loved this stay, Maria was so welcoming & accomodating. The cottage itself has everything we need & was so beautiful. The little town was quaint & full of local galleries which I loved. So I will definitely be coming back. Maria was incredible.

Everything about Tasman Cottage was perfect for a couple. The cottage is beautiful and spacious. It has a large bedroom and nice bathroom and the kitchen has everything you could need to cook with and is beautifully set out. The decor throughout is very nice and it has its own little veranda for a glass of wine overlooking the cottage garden. The location is great and it is very quiet but just a short car ride to Mapua or Motueka and on to Able Tasman National Park or to the vineyards close by. We stayed for 4 nights - could easily have done more. The hosts are lovely and provided nice touches like flowers and fresh fruit on arrival. I would highly recommend Tasman Cottage and we hope to get back there one day.

The cottage is beautifully presented and located, surrounded by a very inspiring garden. The location is quiet but close to the highway to access all that the Tasman area has to offer. Maria was super helpful and attentive to our needs during our stay. We had a lovely time and had every comfort we could need. We highly recommend this property.

This beautiful cottage had a fully fitted kitchen and fresh flowers, garden vegetables and lovely furnishings. The hosts were friendly, and did everything to Make our stay perfect.

The cottage and garden setting were absolutely exquisite and our hosts were charming and helpful. It was the perfect place to return to after a busy day exploring Abel Tasman National Park.

Everything. Our hosts Maria and Cameron were so friendly, helpful, including Buffy the dog. The cottage is absolutely perfect with your every need catered for. So comfortable, furnished and finished to a high spec. A wonderful seating area outside adjoining the owners beautiful garden which Maria is only too happy to show you around. A perfect home from home. So convenient for a short drive to Mapua for excellant restaurants and stunning views.

That we hadn't booked to stay longer. We fell in love with the cottage.

The property is surrounded by stunning gardens making it a very peaceful stay. The cottage had everything we needed plus more, the attention to detail is outstanding. The hosts went above and beyond with their hospitality and we would highly recommend the cottage to others.

The best accommodation I have ever stayed in - by a country mile ! The reasons 'why' are too numerous to list. Hosts Maria and Cameron were so friendly and lovely to chat with. I intend to return, with or without my husband !

Very peaceful

This cottage is immaculate. The Host, Maria, welcomed us to the property (which is beautiful). The bedroom is large, warm and very comfortable - the bathroom exceptional and the fully equipped kitchen a dream to work in. The gardens surrounding the property are beautiful, sadly the weather was too wet to enjoy them, however our host was more than helpful advising places to explore and enjoy. We will certainly be back. Could not recommend highly enough - 10/10

Tasman village cottage is the perfect location for biking to Motueka and / or Mapua. Situated in a funny spot away from the main house with its own driveway. Comfort bed and fantastic kitchen with appliances for breakfast and dinner. Would recommend to all. Will be be back. Lovely host..

We loved everything, from the cottage to the beautiful garden, this place is spectacular and we loved how peaceful our surroundings were and how private it was. We would also like to thank Cameron and Maria for going out of their way to help us with transport when we didn't have a car to get us around, they were kind enough to take us to Motueka to do some shopping so we could have something to eat on our first night and Cameron for taking us to Mapua the next day to do some sightseeing and to grab some lunch we are forever grateful for your help and awesome hospitality. You have got to be the most genuine people we have ever meet. We will no doubt be stay here whenever we are in Nelson, there won't be any other place we would rather stay...thank you!

Maria, our host was wonderful. Fresh flowers and tomatoes from her fabulous garden, chocolates every day. Loved sitting on the verandah having a wine and enjoying her garden and visits from Finn, the border collie every day.

When you look at the photos of this cottage and property, you wonder if they are truly representative. Believe me, it’s even better than the photos. The cottage is comfortable (bed, chairs, window seat, deck furniture), convenient (full kitchen, washer, drying racks), modern, clean and quiet. Maria and Cameron are lovely people, ready to help with anything we might need. The garden is beautiful and so relaxing - it is clear that they are attentive to every detail. There is a small town just to the south (Mapua) with several good restaurants and a small grocery store. An added bonus for us: Finn the Border Collie! We cannot say enough good things about our 3 night stay here.

Great place and really nice ambience. Maria was very welcoming. Garden is amazing and dog is super friendly and well behaved. Maria was also very gracious and did not charge us for the day that we lost from arriving a day late due to a cancelled flight.

we loved everything about our stay, the hosts were fantastic, the location was perfect for our biking as it on the Nelson taste trail, the cottage had everything you would want & need, the cleanliness was taken to the next level, the hosts garden was exquisite & very relaxing, great off street parking & excellent wifi .

as you can guess the only thing we didn’t like was we couldn’t stay longer, hopefully will return.

Maria and Cameron are wonderful hosts. Beautiful garden and super comfortable beds and bedding. We got in late most nights and Maria kindly switched on a light for us and the heating. Maria is also an amazing baker! We would highly recommend staying here, can't wait to return!
