Reviewed Sep 14, 2026The apartment was warm and homely. It had everything we needed to cook meals with including some condiments, which was really handy. we enjoyed playing the board games and having a few rifts on the guitar. A perfect secluded spot for a quiet weekend family getaway.
A mirror in in twin bedroom would be helpful.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2024Very peaceful, quiet. We love the serene of the nature that surrounded it. It was also an interesting but wonderful experience for the owner to send over their friendly dog to come play with us and kept us company for a while. My family enjoyed that very much :) but we were a bit sad that we didn’t see the dog again when we left the farm :(
The road round the hill to reach the farm were a bit treacherous at some points.

Reviewed Jun 6, 2023Kahu Farm apartment was perfect for a family weekend away. The bedrooms were extremely spacious and comfortable. The heaters provided were appreciated. The kitchen was well fitted out and we loved sitting outside on the bean bags in the sunshine enjoying our coffee. The location was great for exploring Matakana as well as the beautiful regional park at Tāwharanui.

Reviewed Jan 2, 2023Great quiet location, under ten mins drive to the beach. Helen was super helpful without being intrusive. It was great for our group of six. There’s also a coffee machine with supplied pods
BBQ could do with a heavier duty scraper as it was tough for us to clean, but great to have a barbie there too
