it was easy to find the places and it was very clean and quite. we were not disturbed by any1. we were able to make our own breakfast. we had clean towels and kitchen set. Excellent service with the cleaning stuff our room was clean every time we left and came back. Thank you very much we will definitely come back 1 day....

The fact that the beautiful setting at the restaurant is closed. It would be so nice to sit at the restaurant and have something to drink after a long drive like in the past.

I needed a few days to rest away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. And what I got was that and so much more. A quiet and peaceful place. Oh I got all the rest I needed without a sound or any distractions.

Beds were very comfy. Hospitality wonderful - nothing too much trouble. Enjoyed the private braai lapa.

Beautiful cabin kitted out with everything needed for a short break. Lovely quiet and tranquil location under 10 min drive to Kimberley. Friendly and helpful staff and tasty breakfast served in the restaurant.

We have stayed at StableWood Lodge a couple of times and love it as it is a little bit out of Kimberley and you don't feel like you are staying in a city. We also love the 1 bedroomed cottages which are spaced far enough apart from each other so that you feel you are completely on your own there

The location is very beautiful. I loved the fact that is close to NELOS 😁 The lodge is a stand alone, which makes it more unique, the braai area was indeed a bonus.

Stablewood offers clean units and fair value for money in a quiet location when traveling between the Western Cape and the north of the country. The aircon was on when we arrived. Much appreciated in Kimberley's summer heat!

The matress on the bed could be replaced at some stage.

The houses are not connected, so it's very private. It's pet friendly.

The apartment and the peaceful, nature environment, the lady was very helpful and friendly whom assisted us.

No notice that they are renovating, and we booked to use the facilities as well, quite upsetting going and not use the facilities you payed for.

I liked the quiet harmonious location and the spacious room.

Gas stove which I cannot use as a result I couldnt prepare breakfast.

1.No WiFi- Most if not all accommodations come with this as standard and its important for travelers to know and for the premises to specify that they dont offer this. 2. Highlight that the premises have no pools and that the photos are of a separate entity though its under the same name. This feels like a false advertisement. They should specifically state this as i feel most guests assume its part of the package. 3. the unit needs some tlc. a)shower doors needs to be adjusted and secured as they might cause serious injuries if the glass breaks. b) rivets need replaced on some windows secure bars as it makes it feel unsafe. c) rooms were not cleaned the next day as they promised. d) satellite TV has issues and doesn't play simultaneously. one has to be off for 1 to be functional. remotes need battery replacement.

We love the separate little houses with proper electricity, electric headset and Aircon. I hardly ever go back to the same place, but this our second time here and will come again.

The gas stove didn't cut the gas off completely, so I had to open and close the gas bottle every time I wanted to use the stove for boiling the kettle. I would suggest to rather put an electric kettle in there.

It was ok for a one night stay and it was a little bit out in nature. The lady who showed us the unit was friendly and helpful. The beds and shower was nice to use and the unit was neat and clean.

The units are super close together. It’s pet friendly, but just note that there is no fencing around the units and the property fencing is just farm barbed wire. There’s no wifi in the units. You have to go to the restaurant to use wifi. There are only a few DStv channels, so pack enough of your own digital entertainment if that’s important to you. A lot of ants in the kitchen but that might be a seasonal thing. People in the surrounding neighborhood blasted music now and then. The toilet brush could use washing or replacing.

We really enjoyed the surroundings and coziness of the little chalet!

"There was absolutely nothing not to like about StableWood Lodge. As a solo traveler on a work trip, I found the lodge to be the perfect sanctuary. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly witnessing the beautiful sunset over the Kalahari, an truly unforgettable experience. The lodge is perfectly situated just outside of town, providing an ideal sense of peace and quiet that allowed for complete relaxation and focus after work. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and would highly recommend StableWood Lodge to anyone, whether for leisure or a peaceful work-related stay.

The water pressure in the shower could be better, though this is a personal preference.

Unfortunately, our experience at the lodge was disappointing. The host was very rude and unwelcoming, which made us feel uncomfortable throughout our stay. We stayed for two nights, but our room was not refreshed or topped up with basic essentials like sugar for the second day. Definitely not the level of hospitality we expected.
