Fabulous location and very easy to find. Great facilities - probably the best equipped kitchen for utensils that i have ever encountered in Ireland and i have been staying in self catering locations 2 to 3 times a year for the last 14 years. Having no TV is an absolute bonus as it removes the unnecessary background noise and you can enjoy the silence of the location. Clifden is about a 30 minute drive and is a vibrant town with many places to enjoy food - also supermarkets well served by Supervalue / Lidl / Aldi within 5 minute drive of each other
The only negative was the planned electricity disruption for the whole of Wednesday - which we didn't find out about until arriving on the Monday evening to see the notification card that ESB send out. We had to re-arrange plans as the outage was from 8.30am to 6.00pm. To be fair Ann the Property Manager offered to go and purchase a gas hob for us to use however we had then planned to go out for the day. The outage also affected the water which was reduced to a trickle. We returned around 5.30pm, however the electricy supply wasn't restored until just after 7pm
Everything. A hidden gem. Beautiful views beautiful house and so well stocked - really one of the best places I’ve stayed
We loved the cottage. Stunning scenery and very comfortable place to stay for our group of 4 adults.
Absolutely nothing!
The place was amazing, with a breathtaking view and direct access to the sea. Everything felt like it belonged to a rom-com. The beds were also very comfortable and the house was fully equipped.
Lovely property to visit the Connemara! Real home feeling and with above average kitchen equipment and beddings. The house was comfortable and ideal for our large group of 8 (2 families)
No much.
Superbe cottage, une vue magnifique, très confortable.
It was more than we could have expected. Perfect for two families. The best equipped holiday rental we've ever had. With a lived in feel. Beautiful
The house was really well fitted out so self catering was a dream, lots of the little seasonings cooking oil etc was there so it made life very nice. Games to play , heating worked well easy to use etc .
Only two small things, a shower door on the second bath and the rubbish bin needed a power wash something must have been put in it that smelled pretty bad.
We loved it! It's such a nice house and beautiful view. It's a home from home.
Nada
Incredible home in a breathtaking location. The entire family along with our dog was able to relax and enjoy each other company. Truly magical!
The location was beautiful and the property itself was comfortable and very well-appointed. The hosts went out of their way to help us when a snowstorm hit. We couldn't have wished for better hosts.
Everything was wonderful.
A lovely hunkered down bungalow on the shores of the West Coast. Salmon Cottage was well equipped, had beautiful views and was wonderfully quiet and remote giving us all the rest we needed from life in the city.
Nothing in terms of what this house offers. It's a lovely house for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location. Just be aware that the nearest shop is 18 mins away in Roundstone so bring your own supplies or go shopping in Oughterard for main goods or Recess for bread and milk on the way.
The house had absolutely everything you could possibly need. Quality beds, duvets, plates, pots, dishwasher, washer, and drier. The location was idilic, with breathtaking views from every window. The two fireplaces really made the house extra cosy. The house was 15 minutes away from the village roundstone. It's a great place for a day out. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend salmon cottage.
The only small improvement could be a slightly later checkout. Ten o'clock was a little tricky. 11 would have been ideal.
Beautiful, comfy, and cosy. The view and surrounding areas are amazing with lovely walks, yet the cottage is very private. The place was equipped with everything we needed (kitchen, linen, blankets, speakers, clothes driers etc) and the WiFi was excellent. We were both working remotely so the quality of Internet was important to us. The surprise was the big comfortable beds as this is not a given in older cottages. There is a bus from Cashel going to Roundstone and Clifden a few times a day. I would 100% recommend.
Everything was acceptionaly clean and home like. really calming atmosphere.
…
There is absolutely everything you need in the cottage (including egg cups😅). You can write Ann and she helps you immediately if you need help. The view from the terrasse is spectacular! Foggy mountains, a beautiful bay and you can even spot seals on the rocks in the water(even binoculars are in the cottage) !🥰 We will come back some time!
