We absolutely loved the location, surrounded by the beautiful garden created and cared for by Rita and Michael. It was wonderful to see how much love and attention goes into the garden, especially with all the birds around — perfect for a bit of birdwatching! The cottage itself was incredibly cosy, comfortable and welcoming. Being in Clifden was also perfect for exploring Connemara, with places such as Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park and many other beautiful sights within easy reach.

Cottage confortable et plein de charme, cuisine bien équipée, salle de bain moderne, poêle à bois agréable. Chambre spacieuse et lumineuse avec bon linge de maison. Emplacement calme malgré un peu de circulation à proximité.

Un peu d'humidité et un début de moisissure dans la maison, malgré le chauffage (poêle et radiateurs) utilisé quotidiennement et une aération régulière. Une meilleure ventilation ou un déshumidificateur plus efficace seraient bienvenus.

The location is quiet and it’s just a short walk to Clifden town centre and to the bay. It has everything you need. Big outside area. The hosts are super friendly. Very clean and cute details in the rooms. Very spacious indeed. We definitely recommend this cottage. Thank you.

Nothing to complain about

Geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet, viele kleine Details. Schöner Garten. Große und geräumig Zimmer. Im Wohnbereich einen schönen mit Holz zu befeuernder Ofen. Rita & Micheál sind äußerst zuvorkommend und liebenswerte Gastgeber!

Excellent location. 10 minute walk from Clifden. Beautiful beaches within 15 min drive. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Lovely garden to sit out in the evening. Would definitely stay at Potters Cottage again.

Overall space and the kitchen was well equipped. Rita very friendly and responsive.

Didn't fancy the walk into town.

The cottage was very clean, cosy and well equipped. The owners, Rita and Michael were very warm and welcoming. We paid a little more than we usually do for the two of us but Rita left us a lovely welcome hamper and a lot of thought had gone into making our stay special.

Lovely, single storey one- bedroomed cottage situated about one mile outside Clifden. Walkable into town along a footpath. Would be lovely in better weather. Cottage very well equipped with several oil-fired radiatiors to supplement heating in cooler weather. Very helpful owner lives in house on site and easily contactable if required.

Very little to not like. Suggest some larger bath towels, and a j-cloth or similar, in kitchen. Otherwise, everything was fine for us.

Very homey stay at The Potter's Cottage., We loved it. They thought of everything, including lists of places to visit and their favorite places to eat. Plus it is walking distance to town. Would highly recommend.

I can't think of a single thing that wasn't perfect.

boîte à clé derrière la maison , pas très clair , le cottage est dans le jardin des hôtes .. ( même si cela n’est pas très dérangeant , on a l’impression en lisant le descriptif que celui ci était plus isolé..) , faire du feu et mettre le chauffage électrique pour avoir suffisamment chaud

Roomy for two, thoughtful design, lovely view of the garden, walking distance into town. We did meet our host, Michael, upon arrival. He was friendly & helpful in getting us situated.

The shower tile walls need a good cleaning, the only unsatisfactory thing about the Cottage.

The Potter’s Cottage is absolutely charming – full of traditional character and equipped with every modern amenity you could need. The attention to detail throughout is great, from the cosy décor to the spotless presentation. Loved the spacious bedroom and wonderfully comfortable bed, ensuring a great night’s sleep after a day exploring. Kind and welcoming hosts: Rita and Michael who clearly take great pride in their lovely cottage. The location is ideal too – just a short walk into Clifden town and an ideal base for discovering the beauty of Connemara. Highly recommended.

It would benefit from reliable WiFi. Purely for the reason its a shame not to be guaranteed to watch Netflix in a very cosy environment.

Lovely little cottage for two people. Comfy bed, good facilities. Easy walk into Clifden town for an evening out.

Very well equipped, comfortable and good space for two. Friendly, welcoming hosts who provided good recommendations for local walks and restaurants. The cottage is well located for waking to Clifden and surrounding walks, and exploring further afield around the Connemara region.

Well equipped kitchen, spacious bedroom and large bed. Great shower and very clean. Loved the cosy living space. Everything was great.

Amazing stay at the Potters Cottage in Clifden 😁 My wife and I loved every minute there - so chilled and relaxed and Michael and Rita were lovely - the perfect hosts! Couldn’t recommend it enough 😁

Comfortable bed, super clean, great shower, nice kitchen with all appliances, welcoming hosts, and easy walkable distance to Clifden. Happy to come back one day.

Maybe a bit cold during winter, but plenty of electric heaters available.

Location perfect, being able to cater for ourselves and come and go as we pleased. Also plenty of off road parking. Close to amenities. Would definitely recommend.

A gorgeous property. Very tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. Lovely garden in front of the cottage. Close to Clifden.

Unfortunately the noise from the road seriously took from the enjoyment of our stay. The property is located right on a very busy road, so much so that the cottage shook when vehicles passed. Cottage was a bit cold too despite lighting the fire and using the heaters.

Loved loved just loved it.. this is an amazing property. Both Mike and Rita are wonderful hosts. The cottage was very clean. It just felt like home. It had all the positive vibes. Location is the best 15 min walk to Lidl and city centre. I will recommend everyone to stay once there and you will also fell in love with the place.. thanks Rita and Mike ❤️

It’s located back garden of owners house so as not private as we thought, Very close to proximity to the main road but saying that the traffic not too noisy

On rival we noticed the place was a little chilly the fire place was there but we didn't no was loots of wood so we have to go to shop get fire place unfortunately its to close to fire alarm we got twice noise so we open window there is big orange folder in the house following rule's what you can't do so rather chill evening morning so we read the ""Bible " just expected the houst

The cottage was cute and quaint and was exactly what we were looking for. It was a 10-15 min walk into the centre of clifden (my partner is short so closer to the 15 lol) and the walk was beautiful. I loved that the host left out some wood and fire lighters to make a fire if we wanted to and the amenities were all there. Access was very easy and there was a place to park in the garden for our car.

The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the internet access or lack of. Now the host did not mention the internet as an option in the posting and did explain in their welcome pack that it was a bit hit and miss. Me and my partner had planned to come back early and watch a movie but the tv/laptop required internet to play anything so this was the only minor thing. I also planned on doing a little work in the morning from my laptop. (again I believe I should have read the posting more in detail so not the hosts fault). Maybe a wifi extender to the cottage as there is wifi available just not strong enough.

It was a home away from home and just a short walk into town with some beautiful scenery along the way. The stove and wood was a lovely touch. Kitchen and bathroom were spotless.

Excellent location. This cottage took my heart it was so beautiful so calm so well maintained. It was spotless ,it had everything you needed and more .Michael and Rita were fabulous hosts . We loved our stay in Potters Cottage . It was so cozy and so quiet we had a lovely garden to look out and sit out . I would highly recommend Potters Cottage . We will return thank you Michael and Rita for a fabulous trip .

I loved absolutely everything about this Property

Very cute and tidy. 15 minute, easy and beautiful walk to town. Full kitchen and spacious bedroom.

It was all very clean and tidy, with a nice kitchen and a lovely stove.

Location so central. All conveniences in cottage. Very comfortable bed, plenty of towels and everything spotlessly clean. Even a hot water bottle.

The cottage was very nicely decorated and easy to walk down to the town. Michael warmly greeted us upon arrival. Pots, pans, dishes etc all provided. Beautiful property

Accommodation absolutely top class, hosts most welcoming, and a very quiet peaceful spot. It was ideally located for our 2 day trip to all the local sights, Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, and Clifden itself, a treasure trove of knick knack shops and plenty of variety for places to eat out. And a MUST do for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, the walk to Omey Island (10min drive away) from the mainland when the tide is out, absolutely magnificent, don't cheat and drive across like some do, get your feet wet, like we did, shoes and socks off as the tide was just going out when we arrived, its less than a 10min walk across. And you can tell everyone you went abroad for the day, because you were !

The couches were a bit uncomfortable, but that is a very minor issue

So clean and tidy.

I needed to leave and come back work. If i had the chance, i must stay one day more.

The place was nice and cosy, and the fireplace was handy and made the duration more romantic. The location is well suited for our choice.

The water heater was too small. You have to choose between washing or doing the dishes. The hot water was not enough for two adults showering one after the other, nevermind if my partner would have liked to wash her hair too. Find out with a cold shower sadly. Also, i think there were too many reminders of "rules" around the property, and "request" that the guests to remove the bedding, and clean up and what not. You get the picture. Based on the above mentioned facts, i wouldn't recommend booking this place, until the owners make sure the hot water is enough. The place has potential. But It need corrections.

This is an exceptionally attractive conversion of a very old cottage in a delightful garden setting. Well equipped, spacious and a pleasant walk into Clifden, which is itself an interesting and attractive small town. Very friendly hosts.

No steady WiFi connection. It only sometimes connected to our phones but that didn't really bother us. We just had a relaxing evening playing card games.
