Sterrehemel was an absolute delight. The place is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing break. The hosts were warm, attentive, and made sure everything was comfortable throughout the stay. The hosts went above and beyond, even though we had some challenges coming from Namibia and meeting us very late at night. The room was spotless, well‑equipped, and had thoughtful touches that made it feel special and homely. I would definitely recommend Sterrehemel to anyone looking for a quiet, welcoming getaway.

The farm is beautiful and facilities are well kept including the air-conditioning that was very much needed. The host was amazing and welcoming and I would recommend this farm for a quiet peaceful stay in luxury.

It's far out of town and so difficult to get any groceries etc or to go for a meal. The road to the form is dark so travel at night not recommended. The kitchen was basic but adequate. A welcome pack of some basic groceries could have been pre-arranged and paid for but other than this it was a great place. There was some renovations taking place while we stayed there which started early but it didn't disturb us.

Ein wunderschönes, vollständig und gemütlich eingerichtetes Häuschen. Blick auf die Felder von der Terasse, Braai und jede Menge Feuerholz für einen gemütlichen Grillabend. Eine sehr gute Wahl für einen Zwischenstopp!

One ot the best appointed guest houses that we have been to. The host thought of everything. Very clean, lovely view, wish we can stay longer to read the books. Excellent

The towels could be bigger

Beautiful location...peaceful! Friendly hosts who met us, showed us around & made sure we were cumfortable. The cottage was beauifully appointed with everything we needed. Clean & very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay...just wish we had had more time.

We had an brilliant time. This is our second visit to Burger and Aletta's little piece of heaven. As two grand parents with our 2 grand children we were looking for a location that would provide us with a peaceful break where we can spend quality time with our grand kids. The facilities were more than adequate with a lovely outside braai and all the basics you will need inside The walks and beautiful surroundings were what we were dreaming of. We spend a week here. We will definately return in the future. Thank you very much for a brilliant time.

We enjoyed the beautiful farm surroundings, the quiteness and the beautiful , clean and comfortable house. The quality linnen and beds was a treat, as well as the braai and stoep , where we had our early morning coffee in the early sun.

Such a beautiful destination. There was such attention to detail in the cottage which made for such a lovely stay. Beautiful walks on the farm. The owners were so welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at Sterrenhemel. The unit has a wonderful stoep with a braai, and has a lovely view over the farm. The unit is tastefully decorated.

There were many mosquitos on the stoep in the evening, even during winter. Fortunately the hosts provided mosquito repellent.

Awesome hosts and a lovely stay. Facilities were great and such a beautiful and peaceful setting.

Everything was perfect :) From the warm welcome by Lily, the excellent moonrise and the starry sky as the name implies. The hosts provided excellent communication prior to arrival. The air conditioners were a life saver as the temperatures peaked at 40 degrees on the day of our arrival. The overnight at Sterrenhemel was the perfect stopover prior to crossing the border to Namibia. We will definitely book twice next time - depart and return journey to and from Namibia.

Great communication from the host. Superb farm stay experience in a beautiful location. Ideal for a family travelling through the Northern Cape.

Loved the comfort of the facility, everything and more was freely available. So peaceful, just felt stress drain away sitting on the patio as the sun set.

Beautifully and tastefully decorated, comfortable, with all we needed to relax after a long drive. A little out of the way from our route, but we felt it was well worth the drive. Thank you Aletta for your communication with us on the way and Lilly for your smiling welcome.

Immediately felt like a home. Very clean, had everything we needed. We felt very welcomed and comfortable.

The nearby workshop could be a bit noisy. As well as the dogs that live nearby. The surrounding property felt a bit busy with cars coming in and out.

The attention to detail is fantastic! This property is so pretty and well-equipped, and all interactions were very professional and friendly. A bottle of wine and firewood awaited us, which was appreciated.

The location was out of town and perfect for a quiet get away. The accommodation and amenities were good and more than sufficient.
