Excellent location close to the centre, fabulous breakfast, and sole use of the garage for our motorbikes. A gem of a find.

Ruime kamer met uitzicht op de tuin. S´morgens ontbijten aan 1 grote tafel met alle nodige zorgen. Je ei word ter plaatste gebakken hoe jij dat wilt. Vriendelijke en hulpvaardige mensen die je echt een vakantiegevoel willen geven.

Amazing breakfast - so much fresh food on offer - nothing was too much trouble. Friendly hosts. Free off road parking. Nice rooftop area and pretty gardens.

Bathroom wasn't exactly what we would call private. There was a separate toilet and then a shower/wash room on the landing outside our room which were made 'private' by pulling a floor to ceiling curtain round from our room door, along the stair banister to the shower room. Clever idea and did seem to work but would have preferred a private bathroom that opened directly from our private room. Just think this is worth a mention

Very nice breakfast

Los anfitriones eran muy dispuestos a ayudar y a complacer a los clientes. El aire acondicionado de la habitación, en un verano muy caluroso y, por supuesto, el desayuno abundante y variado y muy rico.

Breakfast was nice, plentiful and eating in the garden, communally was lovely. The rooms were clean and suited us fine. Shower had good pressure. Location was excellent and the free off-site but close parking was a bonus. The building is lovely and it was very nice to be welcomed to look in the main house, despite us staying in the annexe.

In the entrance to our room (in the annexe) there was a smell of electrical burning in the evenings and throughout the night, which was a bit unnerving. We didn't raise it with the hostess, but perhaps she will see it in this review. A second but small thing- the coffee wasn't hot at breakfast. But the owner worked so hard to look after everyone, we overlooked it.

Good location and breakfast

The bed was not comfortable as the mattress was not good. Also toilet and shower were in s cupboard with sliding door which did not open and close very easily.

Heel gezellig proper onderhouden gebouw! Leuk tuintje! Mooie kamers, alles wat je nodig hebt was aanwezig! Zeer leuke aangename gastvrouw! Lekker uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Op ongeveer 7 minuten wandelen van de grote markt van Ieper.

Lungo la Vlanderenroute noi che siamo cicloturisti lo abbiamo apprezzato molto. Dopo una giornata sui pedali puoi lasciare la bici custodita ed in ricarica per andare comodamente a piedi a goderti il centro. Meravigliosa la gentilezza della proprietaria e la simpatia del figlio. L'ordine e la precisione. Molto consigliato.

El desayuno hace honor a la categoría del hotel: "B& Breakfast", porque el desayuno es impresionante, y tomado en el marco de un precioso jardín. El hotel es familiar en un edificio antiguo rehabilitado. La ubicación es excelente, céntrico pero tranquilo, al lado de un parque. Parking para las bicicletas en el interior. Parking gratuito para el coche en el exterior. Muy recomendable.

The property was charming, in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the main square and the Maine Gate. The upper floor family annex had two double beds and a single bed, arranged as a bed sitting room, with en suite bathroom. Kitchen are equipped with, hob, fridge, kettle and coffee machine. We were staying for one night on route to Bavaria, so this met our needs perfectly. Magda welcomed us on arrival and advised on breakfast and parking. Unfortunately we had a change to our travel plans so we were unable to stay for breakfast.

Not a criticism but an observation, access to the annex is via a narrow circular staircase, which has quite narrow steps. This would make carrying larger suitcase or bags a bit of a challenge.

Het ontbijt was tot in de puntjes verzorgd, het weer was goed waardoor we buiten konden ontbijten. Ruime kamer met klein keukentje.

Klein minpuntje: het raampje boven de deur had geen gordijn waardoor diegene die op het klein bed sliep, het ochtendlicht in zijn gezicht kreeg en extra vroeg wakker was, ook in de rest van de kamer was daardoor veel lichter.

De omgeving. Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid.

De badkamer was vrij klein.

Der var rent. Det ligger rigtig godt, og man kan parkere lige foran. Vi kunne spise morgenmad udenfor i haven.

Der var vandseng, hvilket ikke fremgår af beskrivelsen af værelset. Der er meget lydt, så man kan høre mange lyde. Vores værelse havde et loft-cindue, hvor gæsterne ovenpå kunne kigge ind fra tagterrassen og vi kunne høre alt, hvad de sagde. Det “blødkogte” æg til morgenmaden var sort inde i.

Het was erg warm weer. Er was een ventilator neergezet wat wel hielp tegen de warmte, maar niet genoeg om lekker te slapen.

Short walk into town, quite location, good breakfast, nice clean room with comfy bed, out door seating area, all good. Garage for motorcycle/cycles, lovely garden to eat breakfast outside.

Rooms are available with aircon, but didn't take up the option to upgrade which was a mistake on my part as the temperatures were in the 30s, a fan was available so just made it bearable.

Our host Marta wa very welcoming & friendly. A great breakfast and good position.

Wide ranging continental breakfast selection plus the hostess also provides hot food such as an omelette if desired. Very good quality food. Nice shower with good water pressure, nice toiletries and towels. It is a lovely building with a very nice garden. There is a 1st floor roof terrace and another terrace in the garden. It is very clean and well furnished. I travelled by motorcycle and was able to park my bike in the garage (€5 per night which is very acceptable). The hostess, Magda, is a very pleasant lady and very easy to talk with.

Host was very friendly , location was very good ,a 10-15min walk from Ypres center. good selection at Breakfast. Free Parking was alo available close by which was a bonus.

We did not realise that washroom and toilet were out on the corridor from the room, it does not mention this in the description. Host has done their best with it Curtains etc. But it was still a surprise.

Ter Vesten B&B is located in a very quiet area of Ypres, yet it's within easy walking distance of the town centre. We stayed in an upstairs room overlooking the pretty garden, which was a lovely feature. Although the room does not have air conditioning, a good-quality fan was provided and made a big difference during the hot weather we experienced. The bed was comfortable, and having breakfast in the garden was a real highlight of our stay. Our room was accessed by stairs, so guests with limited mobility may wish to enquire about room accessibility before booking, as there is no lift. We only stayed for one night, but we were very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend Ter Vesten B&B. We would certainly stay there again when visiting Ypres.

Excellent location, lovely room with access to large roof terrace and gardens. Very large choice for breakfast which was served in the garden on a beautiful morning we also had acces to the garage for our motorcycles.

Absolutely nothing

The host is professional and gracious. The room was very comfortable, quiet, with big operational window. We stayed an extra night as it was so restful. The city is a gem and quite local, not many tourists. We highly recommend Ter Vesten and Ypres.

A great little b&b in a quiet area but within walking distance of all the sites. Magda is a welcoming and friendly host. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a wide variety and amount of food for Breakfast. There was also secure parking for my Vespa for a small extra fee.

Great for cyclists. Can store cycles in the garden at the rear. Great location near the centre to see the Menin Gate. Lovely breakfast.

Magda was a welcoming and generous host. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower had good water pressure and hot. Breakfast was a very generous variety of breakfast options. The guest house is positioned a close walk into the old town and very quiet at night.

Room was a little basic - bathroom small and macerator toilet, but comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent! Parking nearby was free and off-road. Easy walk to the centre of town.

The location was pretty good about 5 to 10 mins walk for the centre. There was car parking at what appeared to be an abandoned shopping car park next door. This felt safe.

The interior of the b&b and our room was a little too rustic and old fashioned for our taste. The ensuite was partitioned from the rest of the room by a concertina screen. The bed was very uncomfortable and neither of us had a great night's sleep. This was the second most expensive nights stop over on our 6 location trip, but probably felt like the worst one we stayed in. Having said that it had a fridge which was good and the location was good for town centre and the war memorial exhibits.
