Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Vriendelijke gastvrouw die een heel nette B&B uitbaat. De kamer was ruim en het bed comfortabel. Het ontbijt was heel rijkelijk, ook vers fruit stond op tafel. Deze b&b raden wij zeker aan bij onze vrienden en wij komen zeker nog eens terug
Jammer dat er een gedeelde badkamer is, maar dat hebben we overleefd.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. But it’s worth mentioning that it’s a domestic house so no lift and everything is up stairs for the not so mobile people.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026Deze B&B ligt op slechts enkele minuten lopen vanaf het station, en ook het centrum van Ieper (bijvoorbeeld de Menenpoort) ligt op loopafstand (ongeveer 20 minuten). De woning van de zeer vriendelijke en gastvrije mevrouw Vandenbroucke bevindt zich in een uiterst rustige wijk, met vrijwel geen verkeer. Mijn kamer was uitstekend, met een comfortabel bed. De toilet en badkamer was vlakbij, en wordt eventueel gedeeld als er ook gasten zouden zijn in de andere kamer (er zijn in totaal twee kamers in de B&B). Het ontbijt, op een vooraf afgesproken tijdstip, is een feestelijk begin van de dag, met een zeer ruime keuze aan produkten! Hulde voor deze B&B, en complimenten aan mevrouw Vandenbroucke!
Er viel mij niets tegen, maar vanzelfsprekend moet men zich realiseren, dat men bij iemand in huis gaat logeren, dat is ook juist de charme ervan! Uiteraard krijgt men een sleutel waarmee men alle vrijheid heeft om naar believen de woning te verlaten en weer terug te keren.

De ligging is rustig en het centrum is gemakkelijk te voet bereikbaar. De kamer heeft alles wat je nodig hebt (TV, airco, kleine koelkast en mogelijkheid om koffie/thee te zetten), goed bed. De kers op de taart was het koninklijk ontbijt, werkelijk zeer uitgebreid.

Town is an easy walk of about 15 minutes with a lot going on there. Very hot during our stay but room had air conditioning so a good nights sleep too Thank you

One bathroom for 2 rooms although the host said she only booked both rooms giving prior knowledge to customers and if people were happy to share. There was only us there.

Got a little lost finding it - would have helped knowing to find the pedestrian pathway IN the train station and then to follow the marked ped/bike path.

We had the use of the garage to park our motorbikes. The room we stayed in was air-conditioned. We would stop again if visiting Ypres.
There is nothing to dislike. It is shared bathroom facilities. We were the only guests, so it wasn't an issue.

Sharing the very clean bathroom was no problem. In the morning we were treated to a lovely breakfast table. Definitely recommend this B&B and would stay there again on a future visit to Ypres and area.

Fine for a short stay, maybe a little bit expensive for what it is, which is a private house. The walk into town is quite pleasant, about 20 minutes, but it’s seems longer on the way back after a couple of beers! Not to do with the hotel, but be aware the Menin Gate is currently undergoing restoration, so it’s covered up.
