This is such a darling property. It is in a great location and very well maintained. The gardens are gorgeous. Amanda was a great host and served a wonderful happy hour for all her guests. We highly recommend Coopers Inn!

Breakfast was excellent. Several choices available including one with eggs, bacon and toast. Packed a sandwich for us to take when we had to leave early to catch a ferry.

Amanda was very welcoming. Everything was ready upon. Arrival. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Bed, pillows, shower pressure all good. Extremely quiet yet close to main town.

Amanda runs a beautiful and very welcoming inn, and she’s an excellent host. We particularly enjoyed the happy hour on the patio, with a complimentary glass of wine. It was a nice way to meet some of the other guests and share travel stories in the area. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious, too, and three different choices were offered. We had dinner at Charlotte Lane, which was delicious and only a 3-minute walk from the Inn.

Location and character

Owner was delightful hosting a daily happy hour where guests can mingle and compare notes on their experiences exploring the South Shore. The location near the entrance of the main waterfront street is a 10 with most things in town within a short walk.

The only category that didn't score a 10 in my opinion was, through no fault of management, that the Wi-Fi was spotty. Between Bell, Roger's, and Telus, none have been able to pull Shelborne into the 21st century and provide decent business internet access. The owner had clearly attempted on numerous occasions tried to find a workable solution and is still fighting the battle. A very small blemish on an otherwise perfect score card!

Quaintness, welcoming and so perfect from the moment we drove up. Parking right beside the garden. Welcome wine and just a beautiful home.

The property was beautiful and the host was both welcoming and lovely to chat with at the social hour.

The little fridge in our room as well as the AC unit were both quite noisy, we had to unplug the fridge during the night to sleep.

Beautiful old house, very comfortable. Amanda and Sydney make the stay even more excellent through great engagement. Evening glass of wine with Amanda in the stunning garden is a very enjoyable way to meet her and other guests,

Das Cooper’s Inn ist ein wunderschönes B&B. Historischer Charme wird von Amanda der Eigentümer mit exzellentem Geschmack ergänzt. Jedes Detail ist perfekt und der Aussenbereich mit viel Liebe bepflanzt und gepflegt zwingt den Gast innezuhalten und zu entspannen. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und jeden Tag wird die Standardauswahl durch ein neues „Special“ ergänzt. Die kleine Weinrunde am frühen Abend ist Gelegenheit um ein wenig mit Amanda und anderen Gästen zu plaudern. Alles absolut hervorragend, ein Ort, den man nicht vergisst.

It was a thoughtfully and comfortably restored inn with charm and authentic touches. It was right in the historic district and close to everything. The breakfast was lovely and the staff very pleasant and helpful.

The room was exceptionally sparkling clean, the decor was upscale, the shower had great water pressure and was plentiful, the toiletries were of great quality, the bed and bedding were lovely- and much appreciated as two beds in a room are rare in an inn- loved that there was a Nespresso in the room❤️! 👏We really enjoyed the breakfast, with the French press coffee at our table and the delicious French toast and blueberries- so yum!! What a delightful stay….highly recommend!

Beds were the best and great breakfast in morning. The check in was simple and the owner and help out standing!

L’emplacement face a la mer et les couchers de soleil sont un complément au service exceptionnel de la propriétaire. Elle nous reçoit le premier soir dans son jardin pour partager avec les pensionnaires autour d’un verre de vin, ce qui rend déjà au départ l’expérience hors du commun. L’auberge est impeccable et possède un cachet tout à fait particulier. Avec les déjeuners inclus, notre séjour a été mémorable. Je recommande Cooper’s Inn sans hésitation. Nous y retournerions à coup sûr.

It wasn't our host's fault but Shelburne is very quiet on Sundays. All the shops and museums were closed

The location is amazing.

We stayed in the Smith room and I missed having a chair to sit on. Even a small kitchen chair would be sufficient.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberinnen. Die Idee mit einem gemeinsamen Gespräch für alle Gäste ist wundervoll! Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und zumindest meines hatte auch einen Blick direkt aufs Meer.

Die Duschen hatten wenig Wasserdruck. Man kommt damit aber klar.

Everything was wonderful. Amanda and her staff were lovely. Very quaint home, quiet area and within walking distance of so much. The breakfasts were so good. We were in Nova Scotia for 3 weeks and this was one of our favorite places to stay and visit. Our room looked out over the water. Thank you so much Amanda for making this such a special trip.

An absolutely charming place! Amanda was a wonderful hostess and cook. Everything was great.

Great place to stay! We really enjoyed our stay here in June 2026! The structure is very beautifully built and represents historic value. The stay was super comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing! Amanda is a very good host, and it shows in every little thing. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was beautiful (I had granola and yogurt amd it was perfect ) in the historic home’s dining from. I literally could not believe the location- so beautiful right on the water. So clean and pristine - every view.

The inn is very nice and breakfast was excellent.

We didn't know our room was in a separate building and not in the Coopers Inn heritage building circa 1785. That was disappointing.

Poor breakfast, owners dog around, cold water (3 mins to get shower hot, low water flow). Owner does not acknowledge negative feedback.

The owner was very personable. The inn is a beautiful, well restored home from the 1700's. The breakfast was fantastic.

Ein wunderschönes B&B direkt an der Seepromenade. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und die Zimmer sind sehr schön. Die Gastgeberin ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück wird mit Liebe zubereitet und man kann zwischen 3 Frühstücksarten wählen. Sehr nett und freundlich ist auch das Anstoßen der Gastgeberin mit den Gästen mit einem Glas Wein am frühen Abend auf der sehr einladenden Terrasse.

Amanda is an excellent host. The property is characterful and has everything you'd wish for.

Easily accessible sockets for charging and a wee shelf in the bathroom for toiletries would be nice.

The location is lovely, close to the water, a very short walk to a nice restaurant, in a quiet village. A great place for a peaceful get-away. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was excellent! We highly recommend Cooper's Inn!

Coopers Inn is a beautiful, well kept B& B just a stone’s throw from the waterfront in SHELBURNE. Immaculate inside and out with a lovely garden and very tasteful rooms. Beds have wonderful linens, and are air conditioned but windows also open if that’s what you prefer. Breakfasts were wonderful with 3 choices available each morning. Host was friendly and helpful.

The owner greeted us at check in and was super pleasant and friendly. She walked us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was charming, clean and well organized. Cocktail hour in the garden was a delightful extra we weren’t expecting. We met some of the other guests and had a relaxing time after sightseeing all day. The breakfast choices were delicious (3 options) and the french press coffee was great! We absolutely enjoyed our time here.

The little town doesn’t have many restaurants. The place we did eat at was recommended by the owner and she was spot on. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive. The outdoor dining area was perfect for a warm evening.

Location is excellent and inn is well-equipped. Coffee readily available in the room.

It was a great location. The owner and staff were great. The breakfasts were just what we needed to get a good start to our day. Our room was perfectly decorated and very clean with easy access at ground level.
