We sat in front of our unit and watch wild deer at the edge of the parking lot feeding on acorns!

I liked the location it was good.

The overall cleanliness

No breakfast provided. Bed was clean but poor quality linens.

Curtains literally falling off the windows, I was reluctant to turn on the air conditioner as the vents were filthy with dust. Shower curtain stained and mildewed. Bathroom in serious need of an overhaul.

Run by new people now who are barely ever there to check in or check out people. The rooms are very trashy and overpriced. Two nights was almost $300. These rooms are worth no more than $49 a night.

Beautiful view, room was very spacious for our needs, staff was very friendly.

No maintenance done to the property their was broken tree limbs everywhere, cigarette butts cover the parking lot , the chairs outside your room where all pretty much broke or tour up you really had to question weather you actually wanted to sit in them I was scared the whole time thinking I was going to fall through, the room smelled like they dumped a whole bottle of cleaner in it ,was clean but so strong we had to leave the doors and windows open for hrs just so we could stand to be in the room, the shower is something to be questioned leaked steady and no pressure what so ever,

Bed was comfortable for a cheap motel, free wifi and tv.

Everything stained and slightly dirty. Room was damp and smelled musty on arrival but also smelled like cleaner so it seems to have been cleaned recently despite the spiders, cobwebs, and marks on the walls.

Everything. First room offered was disgusting. Dirty.had a bad odor. Second room only had one bed and was also not clean. Mould in the bathroom and on the shower curtain smoke alarm had been removed. Everything needs to be cleaned. I do not recommend this place.

The bed was comfortable. The Motel was in an ideal location for us travelling.

Das Wild Wood ist in Top Lage bei Shelburne. Vieles zu Fuß erreichbar und Mall mit dem Auto ca. drei Minuten. Hat alles was man braucht Klar, man soll das Wild Wood nicht mit einer Luxusunterkunft vergleichen. Aber das weiss man ja im Vorfeld schon, was man bucht. Service war gut. Waren schon das zweite Mal dort.

Optische kleine Ungereimtheiten, die aber nicht relevant sind bzw. waren. Ein bisschen Rost an Heizung und Badewanne, kleines Loch in der Wand 🤷. Hat uns alles nichts ausgemacht.

The corners of room and bathroom were dirty. The bathtub needs new caulking. The bathroom doorknob latch was non functional. No breakfast facilities anymore.

If you needed a bed for the night, this place will do. The unit needs an update. The lamp on the night table needs power. The coffee maker in the room did not work. On the good side, the tv got alot of channels. The bed was comfortable. 3km to Tim Horton's.

As a budget class motel that accepts pets, it is satisfactory, well located, presents well from the outside, good WiFi, comfortable beds. The interior condition of the rooms, could well see some minor and not overly costly improvements.e.g. , bedspreads were a bit tatty, ($25 per bed), bathroom door was old delaminated and did not close properly ($50 for a composite interior patterned door). But overall met our needs, but the complex is from the 1950s- 1960s, the exterior has see

By far one of the worst rooms we have ever stayed in. We didn’t have high expectations based on info provided in the description but it was only for one night. Should have kept driving!! Bed covering was stained so we were quick to remove it. Pillow provided was the size of a throw pillow. In the morning we intended to have a shower, first off there was NO hot water (couldn’t even get warm ish water). Scrap that idea but here’s the worst shocker, once we moved the shower curtain there was black mold on the wall. The only positive I can say about the room we were in (unit 12) is that the flooring had been updated with what I believe is vinyl.

It was clean and easy and inexpensive. Great for its ease of access

A hole in the screen on the main window. Mold around the windows and tub. The stool where you put your suit case and loo for items in the suit case is very dark. The toilet paper holder was broken.

It was off season when we stayed at the motel. In my opinion it was average, but it served its purpose. The couple running the front were pleasant to deal with, I only interacted with the female as she spoke English and I’m assuming it was her husband, spoke in different language. Not rude in any way though. Overall experience was average, there was a ring of dirt around the inside of the bathtub that could use a scrubbing but for the evening spent there it was quiet around the motel, lovely town to explore. If need be I would use this motel again. Beds were comfy enough that I slept through the night, sheets were clean, and besides the dirty tub the bathroom was decent. Most likely it was a busy season and they’re catching up on deep cleaning now. Hope this helps. 😊

I went for a weekend alone to explore Shelburne, the motel was perfect for my weekend.

It suited our needs for a one night stay

Set back from main road so it was quite.

Location was great can walk in to town

A perfect spot for a pitstop to crash for the night between Halifax- Lunenburg and Digby-Brier Island leg of the road trip of Nova Scotia.

The property maintenance is not up to mark. Looked like the toilet of the motel room we stayed at was not cleaned for a while.

Very old property , they are trying but simple things like cleanliness might make up for some of the “old”…long way to go to make it a place I would ever return too or recommend

TV remote did not work as the batteries were dead so had to use our own batteries. and most channels not available. Cobwebs in the corners and lamp was dusty. Floors squeaked when walked on. Step into room was way too high. Curtains had to be held closed with clothespins and were dirty.

It was so clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful.

We made love like crazy and could be as loud as we wanted. It was mind blowing.

Would have been nice to have breakfast included after a night of love making..

Its a clean room at a good price. Convenient location. I can’t complain it is what we were looking for

Good place for such a small town

The motel was easy to find. Looked a bit run down on the outside and inside but was clean. The bed was clean and fairly comfortable, the mattress could soon be replaced.The bathroom was dated but clean. Airconditioning worked and was not too load. Tv worked great and the area was very quite. All units were rented accross the road where we were but noise did not travel. Overall satisfied

Wifi did not work TV remote did not control TV, only set top box so needed to manually open close tv. Bath drain was so slow to drain the water in the bath was at ankle level by the rime my shower was done.

Motel served its purpose for a one night stay where no other reasonable accommodations were available.

Beautiful setting. Nice room. Wish they had an ice machine. No breakfast (Expedia shows breakfast included).

It was a nice quiet location, beds were clean and comfortable. The people working there were very helpful when my mom fell getting into her room they brought a cement block to help her get in and out of the room.

It was an older building and getting into the rooms if you have any mobility issues could be difficult needs another step, it should be a 2 step into the room. I had no toilet paper and the shower curtain was stained. You can tell renovations have been made but hopefully more will continue to be made

It did the job with friendly service and no pretense. We appreciate that. You cannot expect champagne on beer budget. Very accommodating staff. Clean and comfy beds, nice strong shower.

Had to air out the room a bit - the rear windows had screens and the window unit had fan function to also help.

What breakfast....none available No glasses one tiny 2"soap bar....dirty room...dirt all pushed to corners....stains on bed covers...dirty everywhere. No utensils or even a spoon to stir coffee....never again....

Quiet place to stay. The room was clean but regular cleaning is not offered. I requested a cleaning on the 2nd day of my stay. It was done in an expedited and poor manner. There are no public transportation at all in the area. Beware of this if you are going to rely on public transportation: buses, cabs, rideshare services like Uber or other. The staff was broadly nice. There are a couple of eateries in the town at walking distance. The room was big with AC/ fan. The room rate was too expensive for the quality provided.

Only the warm hospitality of the reception staff. They were great since the time of arrival at the motel.

What was there to like otherwise? The rooms were extremely outdated and smelly. There was 1980s phone, appliances in the room. The bath tub wouldn't drain water making it very inconvenient to shower. It was all simply terrible, especially considering we paid more than what it costed us at a 3-star hotel in Moncton.

Well the overall stay was fine . The room was very smelly , the windows were moldy and could have used a good scrub . There was hair on the wall behind the bathroom door and the pillows were terrible . We got through it though but would not likely stay at this place again .

We went with a bunch of friends on our side by sides. We were all together which was great!

Easy access real value for money

I liked the friendliness of the staff, they were extremely accommodating for our need of a larger space to park as we were towing a large trailer! The beds were comfy.

I did not like the smell in the room (smelled like a barn) or the cleanliness of the room. There were pop/coffee stains on the wall by the garbage can. There were questionable spots on the wall. The bathroom fan was held in by painters tape. The room looked like it was purposely set aside for a discount room

Not much close in the way of restaurants

We stay here a lot while visiting Shelburne as we like the size of the room and the location.

This is a very old motel that is showing its age. It appeared clean but some heaters and other metal were rusted. Outside was not tidy. Leaves not raked, a bit of litter. Ok for the price.

I have stayed at the Wildwood for 3 separate work projects in Shelburne. The staff is flexible in terms of changes to dates and duration of stay based on the progress of the projects I was involved in.

Very dirty. When speaking with owner. The reply was it's as small town what do you expect. Unprofessional. Do better smh

Only thing that bothered me was .there was only two people to this hotel and they put us along side each other lol .and the walls are paper thin .I actually had to say through the wall .that I could hear every word they we're saying lol .no jk .and I had my tv and tablet on lol just letting you know.

The washroom is not senior friendly. Lacks consideration to senior amenities. Tv has little programming.

Room as not very clean. Coffee cups were dirty, had to b returned for clean ones. Surfaces dusty.

Typical motel layout in a courtyard, looked ok from exterior with blue white paint scheme. Interior of rooms were dark. The room was acceptable but the managers were reluctant to acknowledge improvement

I liked that we were isolated ....but the ceiling was damaged ....and there was no ice machine

More thorough cleaning needed. Needs serious modernisation. Reception area not a welcoming space - messy and there was a very unpleasant, overbearing odor of food being cooked. The Receptionist was very friendly, however. Just moved to the area from Ontario and therefore has no knowledge of the local area yet. Hopefully, the owners will move quickly to update the motel.
