I really liked the location which was easy walking distance from the harbor but also right off a main drag with lots of great restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques. But as soon as you walk through the doors it's a quiet oasis with a pretty pool. Breakfast was great too!

This hotel exceeded expectations! Rooms are beautifully decorated and super comfortable. The outdoor bathroom was also gorgeous, and the view outside the rooms - all the trees, the pool area. Staff were super lovely! This hotel is perfect if you’re looking to chill! 100% recommend

The pool area was really nice and the eating area was great.

The garden area needed a little tending. Nothing major, but it detracted from the beauty of the pool area.

Lovely staff, very comfortable room, lovely pool to cool off in, nice and quiet - and easily accessible from the Port, a very easy 4 min walk with luggage.

Great location with a large room. A fridge was a bonus. The room has air conditioning and a mosquito net over the huge bed. The front porch had nice day beds to relax on. The bungalows felt very private. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The location is great—just off the main street from the ferry (less than 5-minute walk). Also, local food and mini markets were very close. Overall, I'd definitely recommend and plan on returning.

Some extra breakfast options would be good. The wooden floor entry into the bungalows is extremely slippery and a fall risk. Mats should always be there during any rainy period to minimise the risks to guests.

Omala is such a special find. Location is extremely convenient and easy to find once you get off the ferry. The hotel felt like a hidden oasis. Very quiet and comfortable, we felt so at home and even tried to extend our stay (it was fully booked though, which shows how great of a hotel it is!). Breakfast was great and very filling. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming. We especially loved our outdoor patio overlooking the pool. A great spot to enjoy a quiet evening!

Only complaint would be the room had a few things that needed repairing: the bathroom door would not lock from the inside so it had to be left open and the shower head holder was broken so to wash your hair you had to hold above your head.

Good location, nice bungalow, nice mattress and pillows. Attention to detail. There is a double bed plus a single bed in a small separate room, which is fine for a child. Easy to get to the east side of the island which is the best area for snorkelling and not windy.

It is very clear that the owner lived for many years in Switzerland and understand Western Travelers needs and expectations. This goes from being on time, cleanliness to breakfast and laundry services.

Clean rooms with good AC. Complimentary breakfast included in price - Banana pancakes and fresh fruit salad were lovely.

There was not a lot of shade by the pool- the umbrellas didn’t quite cover us for long and were too few in number.

The location is perfect, a few minutes walk from the port so very easy to avoid using over worked horses. The setting is perfect, it felt secluded with around 6 rooms and a private pool with seating. The outdoor area to your room is a great idea with a comfy seating area. The bed was comfortable, air con was ok but a little noisy. The semi outdoor bathroom was good too. We didn’t stay for breakfast as only fruit option for vegans but plenty cafes around.

Air con could be better. Take ear plugs as the mosque is loud no matter where you stay on the island.

Very nice and cosy bounglows. The pool and outdoor area is beautiful. Was a little skeptic to outdoor bathroom but is was very clean and no bugs or animals. There are three options for breakfast and all three was really good with fresh fruit, orange juice, toast and choice of pancake, egg or yoghurt with mussli. The location is also great and close to everything. Will highly recommend staying at Omala Village.

No refrigerator or safe. Not much water pressure in the shower but thats probably because of the water supply on the island.

The location is perfect. Close enough to the main street and port as well. The people are wonderful and very friendly and welcoming. They tried their best to accommodate our needs. The actual rooms and bed were comfortable and clean. The property is gorgeous! So incredibly beautiful with the landscaping and the overall aesthetic of the place. The lovely cute cat was adorable, my daughter was so happy waking up everyday to look for her. It is a very relaxing place to be at.

There was no mini fridge in the room so we had no cold water. There is only one fridge at the reception that you can buy cold water from but that is not convenient. Although the staff were wonderful, serving breakfast took way way too long. The food was delicious. Limited options but perfect and very nicely done. However, it would take them half an hour to prepare 2 omelettes. English is also an issue because we struggled to communicate that we want one plain omelette and one with vegetables for a long time. Even after using the translator app, they got it wrong but they try and do their best. The AC took a very long time to cool the room perhaps because it is too big. There is no TV in the room so little ones have no end of the day entertainment for half an hour or so while we wanted to relax and shower after the beach… etc. The outdoor aesthetics for bathrooms at gili (where you have no proper ceiling basically) are nicely done but need more netting in some areas as we woke up with 2 massive cockroaches in the bathroom one day. The water in the shower was very very weak with little to no pressure. There were two power cuts when we were there. One for 3 hours and another for 2. Although the power cuts were for the entire island and not the hotel’s fault, a number of hotels had a generator and had power so of this is a regular thing at the island, perhaps they should consider investing in a generator.

The pool was great. It was very private inside the hotel area. The breakfast was good. We didn't see any mosquittos but the net over the bed was a good reassurance.

The shower had almost no pressure. The bathroom door didn't lock/hold from the inside. We'd welcome a small fridge to put water bottles.

Very close to the port two mins walking. A lot of shops and restaurants around the accommodation. It was very hot during our stay so the pool definitely was helping to freshen up.

The door of the room had a little gap so wasn’t close properly and also the toilet bathroom if you are doing a shower the door will stay open so all the fly can go inside the door as the toilet is open space. But overall present stay

Lovely quiet bunglows, great location not far from the port. The included breakfast was great snd saved money and time. Nice area to chill by the pool. The resident cat was very cute and didn't come to rooms so no need to worry. Getting around on foot or hire a bike for the day was easy.

Nothing we didn't really like, we had 2 power cuts whilst on the island but was no problem still found places to eat dinner.

Beautiful accommodation, the room was comfortable and clean, all the facilities are well kept, the pool and surrounding area was great, the breakfast was also good. Friendly staff, they allowed us to leave our things and chill at the pool after checkout.

The property has central location and that we liked a lot. The rooms are cozy and clean. The garden and the pool are spacious and with beautiful greenery. The staff is attentive, friendly and very polite. There’s also a patio near the pool where you can chill or do yoga if you like. You have three choices for breakfast and all are very good. Overall we think we chose the right accommodation in Gili Air.

NIce accommodation, lovely frangipani garden, great and clean Pool. Owner is able to speak german well, also english is good. Snorkling Equipment for free, good recommendations, booked a Snorkling Trip for us. Rooms were nice and clean, lovely welcome drink felt us very welcomed. Great place to be.

1. **Payment** - The owner charged for the taxi to the accommodation, and if you pay by card, a considerable amount is added to the accommodation fee (I find this to be extortionate in today's 21st century). 2. **Staff** - Lack of knowledge of the English language.

I loved the property!! It was as showed on the pictures, such a lovely place and the location was very close to the beach. Also, the breakfast was very nice and the staff very friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

Not much to complain about. Remember you are on an island so things like shower water pressure will not be the same as on the mainland.

This property exudes charm and is conveniently situated near the harbor, making it easily accessible to various destinations. The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless, from assisting with boarding passes to helping with luggage. Their exceptional hospitality truly enhanced our experience.

The property is super close to the ferry and near lots of lovely cafes and restaurants so it was very convenient. The rooms were nice and spacious and the little decking was a nice touch. The breakfast was nice and the staff were really helpful.

Unfortunately, the property is also close to the local mosque and there were several calls to prayer during the night which woke us up- bring ear plugs!

It is small and quiet, the pool area is big enough, well maintained big beds and umbrellas. The owner is friendly and hospitable.

Omala is the most beautiful hotel, really close to the port, we arrived after a really long and sweaty boat journey, they showed us straight to our room and gave us a little welcome drink and said payment could be sorted later on. Good AC, comfortable bed, nicely decorated and lovely little touches like bedside lamps that made it feel cosy, rooms were cleaned everyday, we were even provided with pool towels along with our bathroom towels. Breakfast was so nice everyday, staff we really accommodating and friendly. We loved it so much we extended our stay

The location was close to the port which was handy. Small hotel so very calm environment.

There was a bit of noise from some bar closeby until 23 or so. The mosquito net was a bit small for the bed, however didn't get any bites so didn't bother me too much.

Absolutely loved the location walking distance to the ferry and in the heart of the main drag. The rooms are beautiful, the staff lovely and breakfast delicious. Very boutique and quiet.

I wish they turned off the fairy lights in the trees by the pool at night because my bedroom was bever totally dark at night.

The facilities are well taken care of, the place is beautiful and clean and the pool area is amazing.

The mosque is quite close and the prayers woke up us every day at 4:30am (until 5am ), as they put the speakers extremely loud. That is not the hotel fault, but is still unpleasant.

I highly recommend to stay there it’s heaven or if not I pretty sur it’s one of rare place in the world soho look like heaven.

Regaal[not sure on that spelling]and his crew were brilliant.His lovely wife ,son Andries,Didi were terrific,helpful,friendly,couldn`t do enough for us.Breakfast was great,pool great,very clean,location perfect,pretty much in the centre of town.Would highly recommend this property.

The half hour muslim chants 4 times a day[5 on fridays]starting at 4-45 are a detraction on Gili Air.In saying that ,that`s got nothing to do with the Omala.

Super cute little hideaway hotel off the main strip. extremely close to the port, less than 5 mins walk. Lovely pool and cabins were cute.

The staff were generally nice, but they weren’t particularly chatty or welcoming - when we arrived for example it felt like they weren’t expecting us. There also didn’t seem to be anywhere in the hotel to get food or a drink throughout the day except breakfast which would have been nice!

The swimming pool area and garden was beautiful. Really well kept and a lovely oasis to spend time in. I loved sunbathing here and regularly had the pool area to myself. Breakfast is delicious. Great location only a 2 min walk from the harbour so you can easily find it when you arrive. The hosts at Omala did my laundry for me at a good price and also arranged a snorkelling trip for me. There are only around 8 bungalows here so it’s a lovely intimate place to stay that’s not too crowded. The bungalow itself where you stay is really pretty, spacious and has a nice veranda area at the front to sit.

Very little! Note that the bathrooms are partially open air - which may not suit some people. People outside in the garden area can hear when you’re in the bathroom! Also - if you pay for your stay by card there is a 3% additional charge. This is totally fine and reasonable for a small island hotel but would be great to be told this upon check in so I would have had the option to get cash to pay (I was in a rush to catch a ferry when I was told this upon check out so had to pay by card).

The Owner and staff where really helpful and gave us good recommendations for eating out and daily tours around the island. We really enjoyed the breakfast/good selection and well presented which could be served on your private balcony over looking the garden. The Bungalow was clean and had a hot shower which is all you need for a short stay only thing id of liked would of been a safe to keep your passport/money in.

Would of preferred it if the bathroom wasn't outside

Such a lovely Place.So calm and beautiful. Directly in the near of the harbour so the way from the boat to the guesthouse takes 3 minutes. Breakfast was simpel but done with love. I would always come back.

This was the best place we stayed throughout our whole stay in Bali. The owners were so kind, accommodating and helpful. They go above and beyond. They even brought us a motorbike helmet to the pier that we forgot behind when packing. The facilities themselves are wonderful - tastefully designed bungalows, super clean and functional- great AC/strong WiFi. We were lucky to have the resort almost to ourselves because it was low season so got to enjoy the pool area as if it was ours. Breakfasts were simple, made with love. Overall amazing location and excellent value for money! Overall, a wonderful stay - we will be returning for sure.

The owners are incredibly welcoming, respectful and friendly. They even helped us carry our bags from the pier to the location and back. Quiet and close to beach, pier, shops. not too touristy.

It would be nice if there was a kettle in the room. But you can easily ask the owners for hot water to make a drink they wouldn’t mind.

* The host was extremely friendly, remembers your name even before you arrive at the property and is very attentive. * The host helped book a snorkel trip for the best rate on the island. * The property is at a great location, short walking distance from the harbour.

* Property could use some general upkeep.

perfect location just 2minutes walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. our room was nice and clean and the pool was a lovely relaxing area to chill out. breakfast was sooooo good and the owners were the best hosts we encountered throughout our travels around Bali, nothing was a problem and always happy and helpful.

Stunning Bungalows

Beautiful owners who were super helpful and made a delicious free breakfast, loved the room and pool also!

Sleep interrupted a bit with the mosque close by, although would be same experience at other accomodations close by too.

We had a very nice stay ! The bungalows along the pool are very nice, clean and with a great outside bathroom. The location is also great, 2 minutes walking from the port which is very useful when arriving, and also easy to reach out to the coast, to do the tour of the island (30/40 min walking) and all the restaurants. Perfect staff as well, always here to help and make your stay comfortable : they also let us use the bikes for free for a day. I recommend ++

The staff is simply amazing. They helped us arranging the snorkelling tour (very cheap!), borrowed us the equipment (for free!), welcomed us with a welcome drink and offered water refill anytime. The bungalow is really nice, with high ceiling and nice private bathroom. The bed is very comfy. The location is apx 3 min walking from the harbor and it’s perfect for reaching the best spots of the island by walking (we didn’t rent any bike, but we love walking). We have been in several accomodations during our trip, but Omala’s quality/price ratio is amazing!

The room is very bright, so if you need darkness to keep sleeping if you wake up in the morning, that might be an issue (it wasn’t that bad for us). Also, you can hear the mosque chants quite loudly, but that would be virtually the same from any spot on the island.

Beautiful and peaceful villa with wonderful staff who are happy to help you with everything! A very short walk from the port, which is super convenient. The pool was lovely and clean, as was the room and bathroom and very comfortable beds! The mosque nearby does make a little bit of noise in the morning but it is not much noise and the sound is quite lovely and calming so it doesn't disrupt your sleep - it's really nothing to worry about at all!
