Reviewed Sep 14, 2026We hebben niet in Maranatha Guest House kunnen verblijven en weten er dus niet veel over te vertellen. Wat we ervan hebben gezien, was leuk.
Bij aankomst vriendelijk verwelkomd door de gastvrouw, die ons thee aanbood met koekjes, terwijl zij nog even de kamer ging checken. Die bleek door eerdere gasten nog niet verlaten te zijn en de gasten waren op pad. Iets wat naar onze mening al bekend was bij de gastvrouw. Ze heeft voor ons zeer vriendelijk bij een vriendin in de buurt een kamer weten te regelen. Die was weliswaar ook goed, maar niet wat we hadden geboekt. We hebben er verder geen drama van gemaakt, het was maar voor één nachtje, alvorens we in Cork weer op de boot terug naar Roscoff zouden stappen.

El desayuno, además de variado, era abundante y estaba delicioso. Y, sin duda, lo mejor fueron los dueños, que fueron encantadores y nos hicieron sentir como en casa.
El lugar está un poco apartado. Pensábamos que llegar a Cork en transporte público sería más sencillo, pero la parada de autobús no está cerca y el camino hasta ella no está iluminado, por lo que no es recomendable ir andando de noche. Además, los taxis de Cork tampoco llegan hasta allí, lo que puede dificultar un poco los desplazamientos, especialmente si no se dispone de coche.

La casa es enorme y los jardines de al alrededor también, preciosos. Y no digo nada ya del interior de la casa… Es una casa victoriana de cuento, con todas las comodidades y decorada a la perfección. El desayuno es completo e increíble. Las habitaciones son amplias y con todas las comodidades del mundo. De verdad, ha sido maravilloso poder pasar una noche aquí, ojalá hubiesen podido ser más.

La struttura è talmente bella da farci sorvolare su alcuni aspetti tipo lo scarico che non funzionava benissimo e qualche piccola ragnatela nella stanza..ma è una struttura retrò per cui fa scena anche la ragnatela 😂!

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Die Gastgeberin war superfreundlich, das Haus ein richtiges Märchenschloss, man fühlt sich wie in Downton Abbey. Die Zimmer haben alle Himmelbetten und sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Auch der Garten um das Haus ist wunderschön und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Frühstück ist umwerfend, mit frischem Obstsslat, verschiedenen Käsesorten und allem was das Herz begehrt. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!

Hommikusöök oli rikkalik ja selle muutis veelgi erilisemaks ruum, kus hommikusööki serveeriti. Kõik oli stiilne - interjöör, kaunistused, serviis, söögiriistad. Jäime väga rahule.

I proprietari sono adorabili e gentilissimi. La colazione è stata magnifica, sia per la qualità del cibo proposto sia per il luogo dove é ubicata. A pochi minuti di macchina dalla piccola cittadina di Blarney anch'essa molto carina.

La nostra camera un omaggio a Fred Astaire, finemente decorata, con particolare attenzione ai singoli dettagli. Abbiamo molto apprezzato la qualità dei materassi. Colazione servita in un contesto elegante, con vista sul parco, anche qui massima cura nella scelta dei prodotti di qualità.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Die Unterkunft ist etwas ganz besonderes. Ein altes britisches Landhaus in einem riesigen parkähnlichen und super gepflegten Garten. Die Gastgeber sind total freundlich und haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Inneneinrichtung ist dem Stil des Hauses entsprechend sehr beeindruckend (positiv gemeint) eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer war riesig und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Toll! Die Gastgeberin hat uns morgens ein wunderbares Frühstück gezaubert.
Am Maranatha Country House gibt es nichts zu kritisieren. Einzig die, durch die Lage bedingte, fehlende Möglichkeit eines zu Fuß zu erreichendes GUTES Restaurant trübt den absolut tollen Aufenthalt etwas.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026C’est un véritable privilège de pouvoir séjourner dans cette maison d’hôte entourée d’un parc magnifique. Passés la porte d’entrée, nous sommes transportés dans un autre temps. C’est magique ! Nous avions une chambre familiale et nos filles étaient ravies de pouvoir dormir dans un grand lit à baldaquin. La chambre avait une terrasse partagée avec vue sur le parc, fort agréable pour y prendre l’apéritif et discuter avec les hôtes voisins. Que dire de la salle de petit-déjeuner où nous avons la sensation d’être invités à un mariage. Tout cela avec un accueil exceptionnel du couple de châtelains. Gros gros coup de cœur lors de notre road trip en Irlande!

Reviewed Jul 14, 2026Super nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Man fühlt sich wie in einem kleinen Schloss. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Es gibt kostenfreie Parkplätze direkt bei der Unterkunft.
Wenn man Temperaturen über 25 Grad erwischt, ist es je nach Zimmer schon sehr heiß (keine Klimaanlage).

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Tout était parfait. L'endroit est magnifique et sort vraiment de l'ordinaire avec un grand lit à baldaquin et une décoration dans le style chateau. Le parc est immense et très bien entretenu. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié. Les hôtes sont charmants et attentionnés. A deux pas du chateau de barnley et 15 mn en voiture de Cork. Nous le recommandons.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlichst empfangen. Wir fühlten uns wie private Gäste. Das Zimmer war riesig und ausserordentlich sauber. Die Betten waren super bequem. Wir waren zu dritt und hatten zwei riesige Doppelbetten und trotzdem noch viel Platz im Zimmer. Der Park und der anschliessende Wald des Hauses lädt zu Spaziergängen ein. Die Gastgeber sind supernett und wenn man Zeit hat, gerne zu guten Gesprächen bereit. Falls wir wieder nach Irland kommen werden wir sicher wieder hier übernachten.
