We loved the location, in the center of all the best shops and restaurants and walkable distances to all the sacred sites. Paul was super hospitable! Above and beyond breakfast and bagged lunch to go! Personable and friendly, we felt very welcome and taken care of.

I really don’t even want to mention because everything else was so great, but if you stay in the larger room of the upstairs, you can hear the nextdoor room’s tv as if it’s in your room. Fortunately quiet hours started at 11am but if you are an early to bed person you may want to think twice.

Upon my arrival, the owner greeted me with a welcoming smile. The room was very clean and comfortable. This is a rare find. I was so happy to stay here. I had everything I needed . The owner took great care in ensuring my stay was comfortable. Having breakfast delivered to my door was amazing. The charm of this beautiful place, the comfort, the quiet of this very relaxing place exceeded my expectations. I look forward to returning to Glastonbury and hopefully get to stay at this beautiful gem of a place again.

There are places that simply give you a room, and then there are places that make you feel genuinely welcomed. The Overlook Inn is one of those rare gems. As someone who spends much of my life traveling, I don’t look for extravagance—I look for a place that feels clean, peaceful, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for. The Overlook Inn was all of that and so much more. From the moment I booked, the communication was warm, timely, and authentic. Every interaction felt personal, never transactional. And then there was the breakfast—beautifully prepared and delivered right to my room each morning, with wonderful vegetarian options that made me feel truly considered. The location could not be more central and a perfect place for exploration! When an unexpected flight change meant I had to leave before breakfast on my final morning, I called simply to let them know so they wouldn’t waste the time or food preparing it. Instead, they quietly packed me a lovely meal to take on my journey. They would have had to do this in the night- They didn’t have to do that. It was such a simple act of generosity, yet it spoke volumes about the kind of people they are. In a world where so many businesses seem driven by efficiency and numbers, The Overlook Inn feels like a small oasis where genuine hospitality is still alive. They have mastered the increasingly rare art of authentic care. Not extravagance. Not performative luxury. Just the beautiful feeling of being welcomed home and looked after with kindness. Thank you for making my stay so memorable. I hope many travelers discover this special place.

The only information that would be helpful for someone that I can think of is to be aware that there are steep stairs to the upper rooms of you have mobility issues or are the type of traveler that needs the elevators and such. For me this added charm. And there is not a living area or space to lounge inside the building besides your room so if you want the kind of place that is for more than just sleeping- this may not be your spot. But for me it was perfect! I would never spend time sitting in a hotel but out at the cafes and beautiful parks of Glastonbury.

The host was very warm and friendly. The single room was small but had everything you need. Comfortable double bed, good shower. The breakfast was excellent. The location central. Fresh milk and water in fridge.

What a gem of a b&b. The host was friendly, helpful and informative. The room was large, clean and well equipped. Centrally located ideal for site seeing. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, good quality food and beautifully cooked and presented. We had a brilliant stay.

De eigenaren zijn super vriendelijk. Ik kon al eerder mijn tassen neerzetten dus dat was heel fijn. Heerlijk ontbijt ook gehad en ze waren altijd beschikbaar voor vragen of ondersteuning. Het lag ook lekker dichtbij dus kon zo even terug naar je kamer.

Gehorigheid. Er was een andere gast in de kamer naast mij, die s nachts om 4:00 "thuis". Daarnaast liet ze ook vanaf 6:00 haar wekker 4x afgaan met een snooze of ze ging uitgebreid bellen om 6:00 in de ochtend. Jammer dat iemand daar geen rekening mee houdt als je weet dat het gehorig is.

日本から一人旅でしたが、英会話が出来ないことを伝えていたら、日本語訳で案内を印刷してくれて、丁寧に説明してくれました。また、チェックイン前とチェックイン後に、スーツケースを預かって貰えたので、とても助かりました。お部屋はとても清潔で綺麗。オーナーのスティーブは予約時から滞在中までとても親切でフレンドリーでした。私はお肉を食べないので、朝食はオールベジにしてくれました。ベーコンもソーセージもベジで、とても美味しかった。またお世話になりたいです。

Great location! Steven was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Our host was very gracious, carrying our luggage up the stairs and then held our luggage so we could sightsee on our last day.

I would say the only con was the room we were in had an uneven floor and the bed sloped. Not a big deal but it’s an older building and uneven floors are to be expected.

I have stayed before and it is always a lovely experience. Breakfast delivered to the room is a special touch and is always delicious

The Overlook Hotel was a real find. I have stayed in Glastonbury so many times but this is really the best venue and accomodation I have found. A really friendly host, a great breakfast and a clean, cosy room.

An amazing greeting by Steve , very friendly and accommodating . He gave us all the information we needed to know , he also called me to tell us our room was ready.

It felt a bit strange having to eat our breakfast in our room , however the standard of breakfast was exceptional so more than made up for it .

Lovely room, right in the middle of town! Wonderfully comfortable bed, great rainfall shower, kettle & drinks (the room has its own fridge, with bottled water and milk for your use!). The breakfasts are spectacular! Whatever your preference, all delivered to your room on a tray, at a pre-arranged time! Perfect! Friendly host, very kindly looked after my bags on check-out day, until it was time for my bus. I will definitely be back!

The only (slight) problem is that the walls are thin, so if you have noisy people in the room next door, it can be a little challenging! There is a label on the wall, however, requesting quiet in the rooms after 11pm, which was (thankfully) observed. Towels are a little on the small side, and water pressure isn't high, but neither was a major put-off. Just merited a 9 rather than 10 score.

It was my second time staying at The Overlook and I loved staying there again. The room was very comfortable with everything I needed, super clean, the breakfast is excellent and it’s brought to the bedroom every morning. But the best thing is Steve’s amazing hospitality. He really looked after me and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend The Overlook, it’s the nicest place I stayed in in Glastonbury so far. Thank you Steve for another great stay with you. I will be back again!

Comfortable clean room with room service breakfast delivered in the morning. Really good breakfast, and I got gluten free toast when I requested it. Steve the proprietor was friendly, welcoming and helpful.

I had a very happy stay at the Overlook. This is my second visit, and I particularly like this venue for its friendly host, great central location, and superb breakfast. Despite being on the High Street, it was very quiet, and I had an excellent night's sleep.

There were quite a few stairs up to the room, but this wasn't a problem.

The host was lovely and very welcoming. Wonderful central location above a great art supplies shop. Clean and modern. Breakfast served in our room, which was very good, and presented really well.

Only downside was the very thick ( and warm ) duvet and the size of the plates serving breakfast. I lost some of my avacodo and poached egg on sourdough bread over the side. Gutting because it was great.

A very nice and clean room with a decent size shower room. A lovely town view from the window. The full English breakfast has been served as a room service! The owner kindly offered to keep my big luggage while I was exploring in Glastonbury. They gave me very welcoming and considerate services.

The breakfast was very good indeed. Location was excellent, in Glastonbury High Street. The people who ran it are very friendly and helpful.

I had some problems with the shower, getting the water to a comfortable temperature. It tended to be too hot. This was the only problem I had there, otherwise I would have given an 8 or 9.

Its in the perfect spot in the town where all the shops are and walking distance to the tor. We really enjoyed our stay and would most definitely book to stay again. Thankyou

The location is great because everything in Glastonbury is on the same street; Star Child is just opposite. Son of Asgard is also just a few steps from Star Child. From the property, the Abbey is about a 3-minute walk, and the top of the Tor is less than 30 minutes away. It's also very convenient for picking up art supplies if you need them.

The only thing I don’t like is they only have two rooms :(

The Overlook is incredibly well placed and very well appointed - my room was very comfortable and with excellent, very modern fittings. The breakfast which was delivered with a smile exactly on time each morning was very good indeed.

The room was fine for one, but would have been a real squeeze for two, especially with one side of the double bed being against a wall.

Everything was brilliant, we arrived early and met the owners in the shop they were very nice and there was no problem having the room early. Steve showed us to the room and he couldn't have been more helpful. The room was very clean and the shower was very good and powerful 👌 I would also recommend the cooked breakfast one of the best I've had 👍

The breakfast was better than we hoped for - the shower was heavenly - it was spotlessly clean - the use of our own fridge was a bonus, and the host was warm, welcoming, friendly, and a pleasure to to interact with, more than happy to put my money in his bank.

This is a cute B&B in the center of Glastonbury, right on the High Street - perfect location. The owner Steve is the nicest, and he made me a very special breakfast that touched my heart. His art shop is also super nice! I highly recommend staying at The Overlook.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay. We loved the style of the room and the location of the Overlook. The room was very clean and airy. The breakfast was phenomenal.

The pub opposite had a live band until quite late, which made it difficult to sleep. That’s not really a fault of the Overlook though.

Second visit. Lovely, well equipped rooms in the heart of Glastonbury town, yet peacful and we felt very safe. Steve was very friendly and hospitable, even when I accidently left my key in the room. The breakfast is still excellent and well presented. Excellent value, we look forward to our next visit.

No long term parking outside, as it's on the high street, but plenty of car parks and free off street parking close by.
