Très bon emplacement pour démarrer la rando vers le mont Batur! Dommage que la piscine était trop froide sinon elle était très belle ! Très bon p'tit dej! Personnel super sympa et bonne soirée autour du brasero!
Piscine froide
Kind people
The place was neat and clean, beautiful bungalow with garden and mountain view. Perfect location to climb to Mt Batur, as it is located right at the starting point. Or if you just wants to have quiet gateway. The staff were great, excellent service. He offered to pick us up from Natural hot springs with his motor bike, that was very kind of him.
Nothing to complain about. Except the flies, which is normal in Kintamani area.
Very convenient location if doing the Batur hike
Nothing! Great place to stay
The staff member was really kind. We spent the evenings by the fire – the employee lit it for us. Great location if you want to go to Mt. Batur.
The shower didn’t work quite properly.
Very nice bungalow and swimming pool. Great and friendly staff.
Staff were extremely friendly always owing over and above to make our stay amazing. Assisted with booking of extra activities in the local area.
N/A - everything was fabulous
The outdoor area, the view, the room
Lots of flies, but it’s the same in every hotel of the area
, location is excellent at the start of the walk up Mt Batur. The facilities are excellent with a very well cared for garden and pool If you have no transport to get to a restaurant the owners will cook you a basic meal Arranged guide to walk up Mt Batur during day time A quiet enjoyable stay
Nothing
Oemah Batur is an excellent choice for a quiet and cozy getaway. It's set against a picturesque view of the mountains and nearby lake. It is also close to the main road, which has a number of warungs, restaurants, hot springs and convenience stores. Rahim, in particular, is an excellent staff who made our stay feel very special and personal. The food, WiFi, and assistance with other activities (including bonfire at night) was top-notch.
The staff were amazing and tried to accommodate every need. The place was neat and clean, great location and a beautiful garden with swimming pool. I loved the stay and would definitely stay again.
The lack of hot spring water in the pool
It was the perfect location for our Mount Batur hike as it is only about 10 minutes from our drop off point and we were able to be picked up at 3 am instead of earlier. The room was clean, working AC and hot shower, the view is stunning, the breakfast was simple but delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Great value for what we needed!
There was a strange smell in the bathroom, not necessarily a bad smell but we couldn’t quite put our finger on it. But the bathroom itself was very clean.
Extremely well placed if you have booked to hike up the Mount Batur as the track leading is right by the hotel. Stunning views of the mountains from the hotel and the hosts are lovely people. It was nice to meet and chat to other guests around fire in the evening.
The bathroom was quite dirty, breakfast was very mediocre, the pool is not heated and the flies are an absolute nightmare in this area. So sitting around the pool surrounded by flies is not so pleasant. You should know that there is practically nothing to do in this area apart from climbing Batur and renting jeeps (it is not possible to drive up the mountain, you must walk). The hotel offers the hiking at a higher price than other guides in the area.
We had amazing stay in oemah batur . Angga and team was spectacular, Friendly staff make you feels like home . Will come back next time .
Nothing !!!
Such an amazing stay here!
Nothing
Location near from the mont batur and the hotsprings
Amazing staff, very friendly and accommodating. Nice views of mount Batur. Nice campfire when it's dry.
The flies! All of the Batur region is heavily swarmed by flies. There are so many and they love to stalk you, especially when eating. To be fair, the accommodation can't help it, it must be the compost use of the farmers. Still, they do dominate the experience on mt. Batur
nice garden, the room was clean and big, good service
the road to the accommodation is a little bumpy but still okay
First of all I have to say that the manager and employees of this place are super welcoming and attentive. They solved all our questions and offered immediate assistance. Privacy, close to hot springs and to the climb, nature, well-groomed grounds, neat and dry houses.
Breakfast could be better. The rest of my negatives relate to the area in general and my expectations, not this place, but perhaps it will be useful to someone. There is an environmental problem in Kintamani, apparently due to improper agriculture or other exploitation of nature, there are a lot of flies there. This is very unpleasant, they crawl everywhere during the daytime (there are no insects or flies in the house, everything there is well protected from them). The hotel has a regular pool with cold water, that is, it is not a hot spring (but it’s a 10-minute walk to the hot springs). The road to the hotel is very bad.
We enjoyed the place very much, when we booked the room, we got the number of the place and got much information from the manager, so we made up our mind and booked the transport, as well as the mount Batur climbing tour with them, everything is more than what we expected. We would like to give a special thank to all staff there, specially the young man (sorry I forgot his name, but he has long hair) he is genuenly friendly, and very helpful, he speaks very good English as well !!
The staff were amazing. Friendly, informative, supportive, and really helpful. Their life stories are worth a listen.
Not about the property but the road to it is rough and too many flies. Ask the staff for help.
This was one of the best places I stayed during my trip. The staff is so so so friendly. At night they build a bonfire and I learnt so much about Balinese culture by talking to staff. Also the trekking arranged by hotel was 10/10. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is it!
-Very well located if you want to hike for Mount Batur : the hotel is located at the beginning of the path. They organise for you a guide. -Very nice and caring staff -delicious grilled fish cooked for the dinner!
-not absolutely clean, could be better. We didn't feel very comfortable -the room is quite dark even with the light on -the facilities are very basic but it's okay as the night is quite cheap -lots of flies due to agriculture, so they can do nothing about it. But personally it bothered me quite a lot. Fortunately it's better in the evening ;)
Beautiful spot at the foot of Mt Batur. Angga went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. He helped us arrange transport, meals and a guide up the mountain. He was friendly and available as was everyone on-site! The food was delicious (the Ayam Bakar was AMAZING), the pool gorgeous and the rooms very comfortable. Such a great place to stay if you're keen to see the Mt Batur sunrise but not keen on getting the 2AM shuttle to the Mountain trial!!
Loved everything! Somethings to be aware of I saw in other reviews - Yes, there are flies but the rooms all have fly screens to keep them outside! The water is full of minerals so you can see where water has sat in the bathrooms but they were extremely clean on our visit 👌 The area is developing quickly but don't expect all the food and luxury of Kuta/Seminyak etc. Eat local and take your own snacks if you're particular!
Very good stay! Especially if you're planning on going up Mount Batur for the sunrise trek, which the accommodation can book for you. Very comfortable bed, lovely hosts and yummy food.
The bathroom is a little dated, but the water is warm and there's soap.
Oemah Batur was a beautiful place with immaculate lush gardens. Staff were very friendly and bed was big and comfy. Batur trekking was also amazing and recommend the guide from the hotel as he was awesome. Also had two hotel dogs accompany us to the top of the volcano and back!
Can't really fault it to be honest.
Super Nice mini hôtel and super nice guest. Very nice owner and it is super simple to communicate with them especially for the mont batur hike.
Lot of noise during the night due to animals
Very nice accomodation very close to the start of trekking route. Owners and staff were friendly and helpful.
Flies are everywhere outside, but that is a problem of the area in general :)
It’s a beautiful small property with the most amazing views and staff who go way above and beyond.
Exceptional location with a magnificent swimming pool and view of the mountains Perfect if you want to hike Mont Batur because it's very close to the start of the hike The hosts are exceptional and open-minded Possibility to discuss and chill around a campfire with hosts and other guests
- We loved this stunning place which was in a fabulous location to Mount Batur and local restaurants/shops. - Lovely staff - You can book your excursions with the property & we defo recommend (we hiked mount Batur in a private group & the 2 dogs at the property followed us the whole way!! Was the cutest & best thing!)
The staff was nice and tried their best to make us comfortable. The pool looked nice but it didn't have enough sun beds for all the guests which was unfortunate.
The area - this is the worst place we've been to in Bali. Garbage thrown away everywhere, lots of flies (and I mean lots of flies - I stayed in a slum for 2 months and still here I saw more flies) The fact that the accomodation doesn't even try to compensate for the bad area - rooms are dirty and super cold during the night. Bathroom floor was sticky and toilet alarmingly dirty. Sheets full of stains, spider webs above the bed. Food - the accomodation provides breakfast, indeed ( I had one pancake that was uncooked and tasted like raw egg - maybe the noodles are better). If you want to eat in other places near by I wish you luck. We tried 4 warungs and the food tasted ok in one of them, however there were a lot of flies in the food. We ended up leaving earlier, as we realized that there is nothing to do in the area, except from climbing mount batur - which by the way it's a ripp off if you end up getting a guide from there. You can climb the mountain at a fair price from Ubud. People - this is the only area in Bali where the people were actually not really friendly, in fact they were the opposite of friendly - we walked around quite a bit and people were just looking at us with a frown - not to mention the ripping off again - everything was at least double price than in other areas in Bali. We spoke with other travellers that we encountered and besides mount batur they were all really eager to get out of there.
Lovely small set up, with a beautifully maintained garden en pool. The rooms are spacious and clean, great beds and big bathroom. The personal touch was what struck me most, as the establishment is runned by a family and is what really stands out. They are caring and very accommodating, making sure you have everything you need. We made a last moment decision to go up to mount Batur between our Komodo trip and Ubud stay. And was super easy and very efficiently arranged. We arrived late on the day and were picked up by their driver. In the morning Maddy the local guide picked us up for our Mount Batur track. Maddy was super, supporting us and making our trip was memorable! As the track to Mount Batur passes the lodge it’s a super easy start of the track and not so early as other tracks, we started at 3.45 am. When we got back a lovely breakfast was awaiting us. We cannot thank the lovely family enough for their super service and kindness! We will certainly come back and next time stay longer to also enjoy the father’s cooking, he’s famous for his amazingly cooked fish!
I can not rate this place enough. Booking was straight forward and we were contacted to ask if we needed anything before we come. They organised the best personal guide for our trek up the mountain and organised a discount at the local authentic hot springs. Ate there one night and for breakfast and the food was amazing. One night the chef was off and we were too tired to take the short walk to local restaurant so they ordered in a delivery for us. So so kind. The location is perfect, in-between two mountains and right on the trail to mt batur. The accommodation is clean and has fly nets on the door so keeps it clear for a good night's sleep. They light a fire pit at night and it was lovely to sit around with other guests and staff chatting. The air is so fresh so we did need this and a jumper at night. Very nice touch.
Nothing
Smartly built (magnetic mosquito nets to keep our rooms insect free!) with a great pool, and warm hospitality and staff.
We arrived rather late and had the chance to warm ourselves up at the campfire. We had a nice talk with staff and they recommended activities to do around the area. (They have partner prices) Very nice room with a very soft bed. There was a lot of space in the room and it was equipped with a water cooker and fan. Breakfast was delicious, we recommend the omelet.
The road leading to the hotel is rather in development, so it was really bumpy and not lit. Especially when you're on a motorcycle, it was difficult. The whole area around is actually in development so it's becoming better but it also means that there are some construction works at the moment. (a little noisy but not bad)
Amazing - host family and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Dinner option was super good and cheap. Nice views. And very very clean no mould or musty smell or anything. Love the architecture and design of the place too
Nothing
Very cosy.
Beautiful room & location, extremely friendly & helpful staff, good homemade food (dinner & breakfast).
Everything! A must stay if you do mount Batur, the owner arranged our morning hike and everything went smoothly. We also had a bonfire in the evening which was lovely.
Can get cold so bring warm clothes!
The pool was beautiful and the staff friendly.
It was really dirty. The ceiling and the bathroom door were full of spiderwebs and dust. The bathroom was really careless and dirty. I think the minimum thing you expect when you book a place to stay is that it be clean. I hope they decide to clean up and be more careful for people that choose to stay there next time.
An amazing place if you are planning to hike Mt Batur! It's right at the bottom of the trail and you get a hike with the accommodation also. I actually went one day by myself during the day. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and make a fire for everyone to sit around in the evenings if they want to socialise.
There is a lot of noise during the night due to birds on the roofs but remember you are in nature :)
We stayed one night to do the sunrise trekking tour to the top of Mount Batur. The room had everything we needed and also Angga and his team arranged the tour for us with a guide. The price for the tour and accomodation are ok and not to pricey. You can also get some nice local food at their place.
Like many others mentioned, at daytime there are flies all over which can get on somebodies nerves. But they are everywhere inside the caldera and the team tries their best, to help get rid of them.
I stayed overnight during an early morning jeep tour on Mt. Batur, and angga was really kind to me. I was offered to pick it up, but I communicated directly with angga, and they took the time to deliver it from the mountain area of Batur to the beach area. It's been unforgettable, good luck with your cute girlfriend! ! thank you angga
no
garden looks very nice
bathroom smells very bad, there is sheet for mattress but no sheet for blanket
Owner and his father were so wonderful and could not have been more helpful to us! They prepared us wonderful meals and gave us such helpful advice. Location is on the mount Batur trek and very close to the hot springs! The rooms are clean and so cute! The pool and subbed is lovely and an all round wonderful stay.
The area is so surrounded by flies which we found so frustrating, but could not be helped as it’s a farming area.
the location and views were lovely, a little bit out of the way, which was nice because it was quiet. the staff were fantastic, so kind and accommodating.
my only complaint was the bathroom, it smelled kind of like a port a potty (I had to make sure I kept the door closed so my room didn’t smell), and the shower wasn’t the nicest, but not dirty or unusable.
We stayed here before hiking to Mt. Batur and it is located close to the starting trail, which was perfect. The garden is well maintained and the staff was very friendly. The room has enough storage space and the bathroom was clean. We didn't have hot water but the owner took us to really nice local natural hot spring baths. Which was just the right thing our muscles needed after the hike and there were only two more locals visiting the baths while we were there!
No hot water due to boiler issue.
We felt very warmly welcomed by the kind staff of Oemah Batur. They can arrange anything like hikes, scooters and taxi's. It's a very small and cosy setting with a beautiful hut. Recommended 100%
The sanitary wasn't as clean as we would've liked
Great location directly on the trekking trail to Mt Batur Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They helped us with everything. We booked a hiking sunrise trip and the organisation was just perfect!
The bathroom smelled pretty bad but everything was really clean!
overall well managed and the stay is comfortable and relaxing.
actually nothing that I don’t like
I only stayed here one night, but I would absolutely come back and stay again. I loved the outdoor area with a nice sitting area overlooking the pool and views of the mountains. I was staying in the area to run a race, so I didn't get to relax and enjoy the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, even making me a late breakfast once I got back from the race. The room is spacious and clean and it's very quiet at night.
Staff was kind, room was clean and cozy, food was great and the location is on the path for Mt Batur trekking. Highly recommend especially for trekkers as a late check out (noon) allows for snoozing after the long trek.
Kindness of the staff Very nice atmosphere - in the evening we sat near the fireplace and sang with the guitar. Beautiful well maintained garden and pool Comfortable room
Noise from the motorbikes and nearby places that can be heard a lot even from inside.
Really nice staff and owner, they helped us with all our Questions (Transfer, Ferry ticket, Mt Batur-Guiding) They organised us the Mt Batur sunrise trekking (start 4.00 - directly from the hotel), coming back at 8/9.00 am. The hotel complex was very beautiful, with lots of details, beautiful garden, clean pool, clean rooms. They deserve you dinner and breakfast which was very good.
-
the rooms were nice and new, as well as the pool area. the staff was extremely nice and ready at any out of the day and night to answer any questions. we cancelled our trekking on mount Batur with them because of rain on the same morning, and we didn’t have to pay anything.
the bathroom had a severe mold problem. the smell in the bathroom was very strong. we booked the Batur hike with them, and on that morning they asked if we wanted to cancel because of the rain. we were not sure, and even if we asked, they would not give their personal suggestion. so we chose to cancel and we still don’t know if it was the right thing.
It was like being in a little paradise, the staff was super friendly as well.
Decent amount of flies outside, sitting outside wasn’t really a pleasure because of it.
