Newly renovated and modern studio unit under the owners house with private entry, peaceful and super comfy beds with lovely linen. Friendly host and nice touches like a glass bottle of milk and sparkling water in the fridge, and wireless chargers next to the beds. Nespresso machine for your morning coffee in the garden.

Everything was great - only downside was that we had an early start so didn’t have time to have the included breakfast!

Modern and very clean, looks out onto gardens which we were allowed to wander in. Very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast delivered was perfect.

Mara is located in a beautiful garden which we enjoyed strolling in. The decor and fixtures are very restful. Breakfast was delicious.

On entend leurs pas, l'ouverture et fermeture de leurs fenêtres, les différents bruits de leur vie... ils se lèvent tout et nous réveillent avec eux. Il faudrait isoler le plafond ! - Le petit déjeuner succinct - Bcp d'insectes morts au sol et une mini invasion de fourmis qu'on a vite réglée

Morgens wurde das Frühstück zur Wunschuhrzeit im Körbchen geliefert. Die selbst gebackenen Hefe-Brötchen waren sehr lecker. Nette Gastgeber und netter, informativer Kontakt im Vorfeld. Können wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

As two ‘basement’ rooms, felt very gloomy inside esp limited outside views through entrance door. No sunshine entering the living space Also the presence of numerous bugs etc was not pleasant

Nicky and Jim are wonderful hosts. The house is set in very well kept peaceful grounds which guests can use to walk around and sit back and relax. The room was spotless, niicely furnished to a high standard. The breakfast Nicky provided each morning was well presented, it came in a wicker basket with homemade muesli and fruit preserves. Thank you Nicky and Jim, we had a fantastic 3 nights stay and wished we had stayed longer.

Einfach alles - die Kommunikation war super und das Haus ist gut zu finden. Das Zimmer ist sehr schön eingerichtet und das Frühstück konnte direkt auf der eigenen Terrasse mit Blick in den herrlichen Garten eingenommen werden. Die Unterkunft ist fabelhaft gewesen. Der Garten ist ein kleines Paradies. Nachts kann man prima Sterne gucken (wenn das Wetter mitspielt). Die Lage ist prima, um den Nationalpark zu erleben oder an den Strand zu gehen.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft – alles außergewöhnlich gepflegt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gern wieder.

Absolutely great place to stay! It is absolutely modern and clean, furthermore spacious and only a 40 minute drive away from the Abel Tasmin National parc. The hosts are very nice! We can only recommend to stay there whenever you are in the region.

Māra was a perfect base for a couple of days exploring the Abel Tasman area. The room was clean, stylish and had everything we needed - and the beds were incredibly comfortable! The breakfast was a delicious and thoughtful touch too, thank you Nicky!

La ubicación era buena, muy cerca de Nelson y a pocos KM de farmacia, restaurantes y supermercado. La anfitriona muy amable y atenta. Nos entregaba el desayuno todas las mañanas a la hora pactada y nos daba independencia. La casa era muy bonita y daba a un jardín muy bien cuidado.

The driveway is a bit of a gamble to pull out from being on a blind corner, so we just pulled out to the left and then turned around further up the road

The gardens were beautiful, the unit was modern and comfortable, the host was very helpful and engaging, and Ruby Beach has great access to fun things to do.

The 2 rooms are at ground level under the owners’ home in a residential and quiet location. The gardens are very pretty and there is an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy them. The room we had was very tastefully done, the bed comfortable and shower lovely. There was a fan which worked well and wasn’t too noisy. Breakfast was also very nice.

Second visit here and it is a great quiet place to stay, great parking right close to the studio, and breakfast was delicious. Close to the supermarket for everything. Will be back again. 10 mins to motueka by car. Ideal spot!

This was probably the best place that we have stayed in so far. The setting was beautiful, location was great and the host was lovely. The unit is modern and very well equipped and the bed was perfect. I was able to have a gluten free breakfast which was amazing. If ever we are back that way again we will definitely stay at Māra.
